Politics › Re: President Still Reviewing Manitoba TCN Contract by drnoel: 9:30am On Nov 16, 2012
take dat: Why is this government so confused? Days ago government was said to have revoked the contract and now they are reviewing it.
Because Nigerians smelled and screamed corruption....so they had to rethink fast. If we kept quiet, it would have held.

Politics › Stakeholders For The 2nd Time Reject Move To Return Orji Kalu To PDP by drnoel(op): 9:41pm On Nov 15, 2012
PDP stakeholders and Local Government leadership of the party in Bende Local Government Area of Abia state have directed all its ward leadership in the council to reject any move by the former governor of the state, Chief Orji Uzor Klau to return to the party.

Rising from a meeting held at Bende town, the party’s chairman in the council, Mr. Ihendu Eke said that the party was ready to readmit all its former members who had left except those he said are infected with political disease or virus.
Accoding to Eke, the meeting was called because of alleged move being made by the former governor to rejoin the party.. He claimed that rumours were on that the National Executive of the party wants to readmit Orji at the national level.
Eke who faulted the alleged move, noted that the party’s constitution stipulates that members can only come into the party from their political wards.
He therefore directed all the ward chairmen and their secretaries in the area to scrutinize anybody seeking to come into the party and get approval from the stakeholders and leaders before such person or persons would be admitted into the party.
“But any group has the right to choose those it would want to associate with, as it should not be an all comers affair. We do not want to admit those who will come in and give us the virus they left with, as we are virus free now”, Eke said when reminded of the constitutional freedom of association.
Eke claimed that it was such moves in the past that made the party at the council level to withdraw party registers from the ward chairmen, saying that the registers are still at the party headquarters in Bende to avoid problems of wrongful admission of those he referred to as “unwanted politicians”.
“We had earlier taken the party registers from our ward chairmen because of such unwarranted rumours and up till now after going through the registers we have not seen any such names like Orji Uzor Kalu in any of our registers and we want it to remain like that”, Eke said.
Eke also alleged party members in Igbere, the former governor’s native home, have protested alleged moved by the former governor to return to the party. The meeting later resolved not to allow the former governor to be readmitted into the party.

Well we know dogs go back to their vomit as in this case....

filani: @ coogar

All good and well. In line with ur comment can it not also be argued that the ladies also do not meet up with 'other duties' expected of them and as such they too do not make the cut?
Ladies with fine face , fine body , flashy clothes etc full ground for naija, what else are they bringing to the table? Just as you advised guys, ladies should also realize that competition is stiff and as such they need to raise their game or miss out smiley
Look guy, u say it like its the lady's fault. Pls tell me what game they need to step up, look marriage is no trophy to be won but rather a union of two like minds for better for worse in sickness and health. Marriage can be sweet and can also be bitter. Look if a man is not matured enough to make that step, to commit himself into something he believes in, then how does he expect his married hummies or his family to take him serious.
If u had rather spoken about what the women brings to the table in her married home then I would understand cos in this time and age everyone brings 50:50 so that they can be united in matrimony.

chaircover: Funny enough but men too get left on the shelf and one fine bright morning wale and emeka will wake up and rush to the registry with one of the ugliest and the one that has the worst personality of all their girlfriends . . . . .

. . . . . . . so Dr noel dont worry yourself; they are only sampling until they loose Miss right in the process and One day one day you will get an invite to their wedding wink
maybe u are right but how do u explain wale always insisting I accompany him to his numerous blind dates (or do u think he is trying to abuse my patience) or Emeka being Emeka (sorry but I have said too much about Emeka and hope he doesn't see through the smoke screen).

packman: YOUR QUESTION IS SO DUMB & POINT OF CORRECTION NOT ALL SUCCESSFUL MEN.....MAY BE THE SUCCESSFUL MEN YOU MINGLE WITH...
LIKE EMEKA AND WALE....

EVERY MAN WITH HIS CHARACTER.........
fine, I respect ur comment and opinion so i would ask u to do the same and respect mine. I asked a simple question based on the a handful of my unmarried friends. I don't need to be insulted, or told my question is dumb (sorry if the question offended u, but I stand by my question). Or would u call my guy Emeka dumb for saying he doesn't know why he can't find Ms right. I would advice u just give ur comment and try not to insult anyone along the line. We have to really mature up in NL and know not every honest question demands an insult. Pls keep the comments coming. If Emeka happens to read this thread, I hope he takes it as well as it was meant (a worried friend).
Family › Some Nigerian Men And Their Popular "I Will Marry U Syndrome" by drnoel(op):
Guys, I felt this has to be said. B4 I start just want to say that my write-up repesents real life situations and lives of people I know but then I had to change the names cos I suspect emeka is also a member of NL.

Let me introduce Emeka. He is an assistant manager in a new generation bank. Ladies find him cute, I've hung out with him, so I know. He is super nice but has a big problem (Ms right). He has dated some of d finest Nigerian sisters that I've seen but can't decide which one to wed. I asked him once what his problem was and he said "I don't know". He promised his last two girl friends marriage but lost interest.

Meet Wale. He is an assistant Professor of molecular biology in the UK. A friend of a friend who later became my friend. U need to have met his last two girl friends, beautiful and successful ladies. I've had to go on blind dates at the irritation of my wife cos I was trying to help him decide on a chick and after the date he tells me "no these ones are only good to bed not to wed). Wale promised all the girls he dated marriage but didn't wed anyone.

Now, I've met many Nigerian men with similar problems. My question is why? Why do successful men have this problem, deciding about a partner. Is it cos they have experienced a wide taste of women already or they just want to sleep arnd. Have asked my unmarried friends but they didn't give a solid answer so am throwing the question at you guys. Help me understand.

Ran with full speed into d forum hoping to read more information but found none. (Sighs) Then asks "are they going to devise a new way to spend tax payers money now"? (Shakes head and asks) "but what is wrong with this country". Why can't Nigeria make policies that would hold and benefit its citizens and the next generation.

olivertwist: Well done my Governor. But this is long overdue. Only a useless and, a good-for-nothing government will care less about the influx of aliens coming in & out of its state daily. There's need to have records of the number of people living in the state (indigene or non-indigene). I expect other intelligent governors to copy this idea. When was the last time we had a proper census as a country? No wonder 'Boko Ha-rams' from Mali,Niger,Mauritania,Chad etc are having a field day in our country. SMH
