Properties › Re: Reasons Why An Electric Fence Is Better Than Barb Wires by drnoel: 2:59pm On Mar 28, 2017
electricfencers:
An electric fence is a barrier that uses electric shocks to deter intruders from crossing a boundary. The voltage of the shock will have effects of discomfort on the intruder.

In our country today, Barb Wires are commonly used but despite the fact that we are accustomed and used to them, the following reasons make electric fences a first choice.

THEY OFFER BETTER PROTECTION
An intruder may scale through a Barb wired fence by wearing thick gloves(and he may decide to have few injuries,Afterall,he is in already). But in electric fences, he will receive a very serious shock. And even if he decides to insulate his body, touching the strands will trigger the alarm and viola, the police will be there.

THEY ARE EASY TO INSTALL AND UNINSTALL
Unlike Barb Wires where you are likely to obtain little cuts just because you are doing your job, electric fences are easy to install and uninstall.

OFFERS FLEXIBLE LEVELS OF SECURITY
You can increase the level of security you want by increasing the wire strands,or even the voltage that is flowing through the energizer. Barb Wires doesn't provide any level of security.

THEY BRING OUT THE BEAUTY OF A PROPERTY
If you drive through Lekki, Magodo or Ikoyi(for those in Lagos), one of the reasons why you stare at some buildings in awe is because of how neat their fences are. Electric fences brings out the beauty of your property unlike Barb Wires that starts showing signs of rust.

IDEAL FOR ALL TERRAINS AND REGIONS
Whether rainy or sunny regions, electric fences still offers maximum protection and beauty. Barb Wires may become rusty as the rains persists

The best protection you could give your home today is to install an electric fence.

Business › Re: FG Bans Importation Of Packaged Tomato Paste by drnoel: 7:50am On Mar 28, 2017
Truth234:
The federal government, though the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, yesterday banned the importation of tomato paste, powder or concentrate, and increased the tariff on importation of tomato concentrate among others from five to 50 per cent in order to revive the tomato sector.

According to operators, the value of imported tomato paste in Nigeria is about $170 million and $50 million spent on triple tomato concentrate.

In a document obtained yesterday from the Federal Ministry of Industry and trade and investment titled: ‘Implementation of the tomato sector policy’ which was signed by the Director, Industry Development of the ministry, Mr. Adewale Bakare, stated that such action would revive the sector, create jobs and preserve foreign exchange.

The document stated: “As you are aware, government has overtime engaged tomato industry stakeholders on ways to deepen the industry and particularly, encourage the use of locally produced tomato fruits across the value chain. It is in that regard that I am directed to bring to your notice the decision of the government towards boosting production and attracting investments into the tomato sector.

“These include ‘classification of greenhouse equipment as agricultural equipment to attract zero per cent import duty. Ban on the importation of tomato paste, powder or concentrate put up for retailing and others Ban on tomato prepared or preserved by vinegar or acetic acid and others.

“Increase in the tariff on the tomato concentrate and other concentrates (HS Code 2002.90.11.000) from five percent to 50 percent and additional levy of $1,500 per metric tons with the objective of increasing the current tariff from five percent to 50 percent (35percent +5 percent+10 percent) and an additional levy of US$1,500 metric ton. Restriction on the importation of tomato concentrates to the seaports to address abuse of ECOWAS Trade Liberalisation scheme (ETLS) and inclusion of tomato production and processing in the list of industries eligible for investment incentives administered by the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).”

It further stated that “It is expected that the foregoing measures which are situated within the overall road map for the development of the industry, will create jobs, save foreign exchange and create capacity for export of tomato concentrate and paste to ECOWAS sub –region and beyond.”

Truelies2017:
I don't think some men understands that no matter how angry you are there is power in the tongue and their are some you should never alter or declare on your patner. Correct me if am wrong.

Now this was what happened and I felt i didn't warrant being called that name.

I found out about a cheap land out for sale in lekki. Called hubby to inform him that we should go check it out and might just become land owners. So I think he also discussed it with his mum cause she also planned to buy land for her kids as gift..

So mother in law called me this morning and said she would like to go with us whenever we intend checking the land. I wanted to pour my heart out to my hubby immediately after the conversation but I thought it wasn't the right time.

So later that evening he raised an issue about us going to the land. Then I said i I won't be going since mother in law would be going. I think that got him angry. I tried explaining to him why I won't be going.

To cut the long story short. He started calling me all sort of names. The next word i heard was VAGABOND!!!! In my heart I thought too much. I cried bitterly. It would have hurt if it was just anyone but not the man you are married to who should be the one blessing you. I feel sometimes some men take their power for granted and don't even know the words to refrain from. He repeated this word almost 3times, then it dawned on me he didn't even see anything wrong. So many times he has used other hurtful words and while am trying to make him take back the words or even return the words back to sender am termed as a disrespectful wife. So I thought I seek others opinion.

Are our husbands allowed to use any word on us just because they can and if not this is the medium to let those who doesn't know.
Are u a vagabond? Then no reason to bring it to nairaland
Christianity Etc › Re: Exposing The Marine Kingdom, Water Spirit. by drnoel: 10:35am On Mar 26, 2017
uchkochi:
MARINE SPIRITS...WHAT ARE THEY?HOW TO IDENTIFY THEM AND DEFEAT THEM.

When you hear marine, the first thing that comes to your mind is water or river. You are not wrong, marine spirits are water spirits or spirits that comes and dwells in the river. Beloved they are real, they execute their plans by possessing either a man or a woman. The marine kingdom is one of satan's department headed by a queen, popularly known as the queen of the coast. The earth is divided into the air, the land and the sea. When God made man in Genesis, He gave him dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28. God will never ask man to dominate his fellow man, so what God meant was that man will have dominion over the spirits in the sea(marine spirits), spirits in the air(witch craft spirits), and on land.

There are two types of marine spirits; we have the conscious mariners and the unconscious mariners. The conscious marine agents are those that know they are possessed, while the unconscious mariners don't know that they are possessed. Marine spirits possesses females more than males, they do so to oppress men and scatter homes, since the man is the head of the home. Their primary tool is sex. They are extremely fashion-crazy, they dress to attract on purpose, they walk to attract on purpose. This marine spirit pushes single ladies to date married men without any remorse. They take delight in breaking the hearts of their victims so as to render them emotionally unstable, once a person is unstable emotionally he is sure to make wrong decisions about other things. They neutralise the will-power of their victims through sex. They are very unstable in relationships, they cannot keep a relationship for too long, they pretend a lot and changes their voice to fit the mood they are in.

Falling in love with a lady possessed with this spirit is the worse thing that can happen to a man, because the moment he decides to end the relationship, she begins to behave well, the moment the man changes their minds, she starts tormenting the emotion of the man, constantly frustrating the man. Those who are possessed with the marine spirits without knowing can easily be delivered by getting close to the things of God and His word. Lesbianism, homosexuality and pornography are also marine initiations, they are also party freaks. This spirit push young, talented, beautiful girls into "runs". The truth is this with God all things are possible. Deliverance is possible only when the mariner is willing to be delivered. Once that person is willing, that person must go to a bible practicing church for the power of the queen of the coast to be broken. Then the person must be born again and take God's word seriously. Self deliverance is also possible with this knowledge, you can pick up the bible and ask Christ to come into your life. Once He enters, the rest is history. I break every trace and strong hold of marine spirits from your life in the name of Jesus.

U be the man now but no forget assassins plenty. U will be a fool if u don't use this leverage. Ur best bet is to get the lady in question to urside, woo her to be ur ally and pls never go for her pants cos u'll loose ur leverage over her if u do.
I do hate working in those kind of places where one seeks leverage over a colleague. I have worked in a similar situation and its not the best cos u will forever watch ur back as not to make a mistake. It removes the pleasure of enjoying ur job away.
Romance › Re: In Love With Two Girls But Wants One. Advice Needed. by drnoel: 10:07am On Mar 24, 2017
Daniyemi:
I and my exgirlfriend parted ways about 3 months ago precisely on new year day.
Shortly after our breakup, I met a couple of girls. I had flings with quiet a few of them but I wasn't comfortable because at my age, I am not suppose to be having flings but a committed relationship.

The problem is I currently have two girls I am in love with. They could easily pass off as models. Beautiful ladies with good hearts. I had to pretend I was flat broke to know if they were coming because I am rich(not very rich though but I am super comfortable for a 20 something yrs old guy. I own a law firm and a school which is setting off soon) One of the ladies is in Abuja she studies there and the other with me here in Kano she is also a student. As a lawyer, I know it is improper to date two girls at the same time cos if one should find out I may end up loosing both.

My problem is I tend to love the one in Abuja more, she is 20 and I took her virginity I was amazed to find out she was a virgin. But the downside is the distance. Distance was one of the factors that led to I and my ex parting ways. We lost the trust we had for each other(there are other reasons though.).
She comes to the North to see me. She was here last month. But I am already feeling since she is no longer a virgin she will want to explore especially giving the fact that she is beautiful.
I don't know if I should use the distance to leave her alone as I do not want a repeat of what happened between me and my ex.

The second one with me here in the North she is 23, very beautiful has a good heart, jovial, polite my friends like her. she is a good cook as well.

When I was asking the girl in Abuja out, she was playing hard to get and I asking the second one out too just incase the first girl failed to date me. They both eventually agreed to date me even when I feigned I was a broke nigga.

Pls house I really do not want to double date. As I can only marry one wife. (I date to marry like I did with my ex). I can't Introduce two girls to my People. What do I do to remedy the situation? insults are welcomed.

Modified* I was well aware that no viable solution will come from nairalanders. As usual they didn't disappoint.
I wonder if it was my own doing to have had the girls say yes to me almost at the same time.
I will resort to prayers.
U have to be certain before u let one go so play it as u have been. Give them enof distance and make sure they both give u ur space. Time will show u who passes better with u. Cheers

As a writer what is the most important area to you in your business from writing to publishing and selling?

what frustrates you most about this area?

As a writer are there some activities you must do that you dont enjoy doing?

if you had a magic wand to solve all your problems related to your writing and publishing business what would it do?

what are the most painful and boring tasks you have to do as a writer?

which of these tasks do you think can and should be easier?

as a writer Did you ever look for an app or software that you didnt find?

what tasks would you like to be automated?

Thanks.
The story is most impt.

It's frustrating when directors demand things not initially within the scope of the manuscript

I enjoy all aspects, even till having to convince a prospective producer to have a work published

Having a magic wand like Harry potter won't solve problems that are very practical but if that were so then i'll order my pen to write my words.

Have already answered this question

Boring tasks is the thinking part

No didn't look up an app but do know there are many user friendly ones for writers

Automated would be the editing. I see red when I have to write, re-read and then edit

Romance › Re: Will My Sister Get Another Man With Very High Sperm Count If She Leaves Her BF? by drnoel: 9:24am On Mar 23, 2017
Scented:
I asked for the ladies in the house to help me out with advice because I feel they would know better in such a situation. Men who may have ideas can also contribute.

I will try and be short as possible. My sis turns 28 this year. She has been down emotionally for some time now and she is very close to me and it has made me down too.

My sis has been dating this guy for about two years now, the guy is 28/29 years I think. She got pregnant for this guy about a year ago, the guy was not ready for marriage and they decided to abort it. Along the line she wanted to keep the baby though, but a medical condition stopped her from keeping the baby. The doctor said the baby was growing outside the womb with complications and an operation to abort the pregnancy was needed even if she didn't want an abortion in the first place. Two other hospitals confirmed this through scan.

Also, another shocking revelation was discovered, the doctor said she has a medical issue which would make it kind of difficult for her to conceive easily, that she needs a man with a very very high sperm count for her to take in and the chances are slim because just about 1% of men have such rare high sperm count. This meant the guy she is dating has the rare high sperm count and she attested to this because she said of the previous 2 guys she has dated before him, they at some time engaged in sex without protection and she never had taken in before, but as for this guy in question the very first time they had unprotected sex she took in for him. She didn't reveal what the doctor told her to her guy though. Just her and myself know about her medical condition. The doctor even suggested she sticks to her guy because there is slim possibility of finding another man with such high sperm count. The doctor even asked that guy enrol for sperm donation in fertility clinics as his type of sperm count is in high demand and rare. The guy doesn't stay in the same city with her so he couldn't be around during the abortion process and the doctor couldn't tell him any of these revelations.

After the abortion she and the guy have still been dating, although they don't stay in the same city. She said they guy loves her but he is not directly clear about wanting to marry her anytime soon. This dude is the tall and very handsome type and I sometime see him as a playboy because he gets a lot of attention from ladies but my sister says she has never seen any red flag to suspect he has ever cheated on her and he respects and cares for her like a responsible man. I presume the guy still being young for a man(28/29 years) and very handsome doesn't feel its right time to get married but its not the case for my sister as she is turning 28 years soon. For what I know between her and the guy, they love each other deeply but the dude is just not ready yet to get married, both of them are working but the dude isn't too comfortable yet, but at least comfortable enough to get married if he is serious. The dude isn't just saying anything about settling down at all!

Now here are the questions I need to ask the ladies in the house to help me;

1-Should my sister tell the dude everything? Would this make him more emotional towards her and consider marrying her soon or he would feel he is doing my sister a favour in marrying her?

2-Should my sister consider breaking off with him and giving a chance to other serious suitors? She is very beautiful and has a job and men keep asking her hand in marriage everyday. Remember the doctor said her medical condition makes it hard for her to conceive and needs a man with very high sperm count, can she find a man with that rare high sperm count in the other men asking her hand in marriage? The doctor said just about 1% of men have such and if you do the maths the possibility of finding another man with such is very low in probability.

3- Should she try to make the guy get her pregnant again and based on the fact she has had an abortion before for him he would not have the guts to request she aborts it again and would be forced to make marriage plans? Ever since she had the abortion about a year ago the guy and her have become very strict towards unprotected sex, she says they don't even make the mistake to try it again. But we know as a lady she can have her way with him if she really wants to get pregnant. Mind you she may get pregnant but it would not be that easy from my family side because my dad has said he would not give his blessings to any of his daughters who gets pregnant before wedlock.

4-Married ladies, is there a way a woman can smartly make a man consider marrying her faster? Are they any tricks to making a man more eager to marrying you or are there proven ways to push a man who has cold feet towards getting married? Please has any lady been in such a situation before and know what to act accordingly? Please help a sister out.

Thank you all!
If this story is true then I would suspect the couple reside in the US or UK, definitely not in Nigeria.
If that being the case, it will affect my advice for the lady in question.
I would advice the lady to get pregnant again and keep the baby this time. Since the guy is not ready she shouldn't have it in her head to trick him into getting her pregnant and if she discusses it will him he will probably not agree to it so the simple solution for her is to get pregnant for him for her peace of mine. She would be surprised what a wonder that baby will do for her live.
She should also have it in the back of her head that she shouldn't expect support from the father of the child cos that was not the intention behind her getting pregnant. Invariably she has to think towards being a single mother. If the guy turns around after then fine, if he doesn't then its also all good. Cheers

Smh! The amount of sex you will see in a typical American movie of ONE AND HALF HOUR cannot be compared to that you will see in a typical big brother show that goes on for 3MONTHS.
The same people that called for the ban or asking the importance of the show paid good money to go to cinemas to watch 50shades Of Grey and American Pie!!! They have seen all episodes of Spartacus!!! Such Hypocrites!!!

In all the years I have been watching the BB show, I HAVE NEVER SEEN A SEX SCENE!!!! Asides, this episode where blowsola did a hand job with both partners covered inside a big duvet where NOTHING was seen and all for 2minutes!!! In all this years, the four or so times COMBINED it EVER happened where all at night. To see it means you have to go search and download. Meaning with or without Big brother, you are a porn enthusiast and probably sleep and wake up on pornhub!

Now that moves have been made to ban the show by same people whose morals are so awesome like that of the typical Nigerian who always believes he has a higher moral standing than his fellow human (it doesn't matter what they do behind closed doors), hope Y'll can now go back to being holier than the pope!

At least both Jesus and Muhammad had a record that showed they existed but Galileo, Socrates, Pythagoras could've been someone like Michel Nostradamus that existed just 500years ago.

For all we know, The so called researches could've been done by some scientists in the 10th century and made us to believe they were done before Christ. That still doesn't mean I don't believe they existed before Christ and Muhammed but that Their knowledge and researches had to be built upon before reaching the final conclusion and were not specific like that of the Bible and the Quran.

Also my believe is that their is a very remote possibility that Those two figures could've heard about the so called Socrates and Pythagoras. Even if they did, they would have to have been possesed by a supernatural force to be able to write about science as it include astronomy, medical science, technology, Agricultural science, spirituality, Law, physics, business, accountability, contract etc all at the same time.
Dont get byside urself. The Bible and Quran were written about people including Jesus and Mohammed. On the other hand those Philosophers I mentioned left notes, memos, written proof of their existence. To cap it all, they were then mentioned in more details by other scholars so no one can confuse they didn't exist.

There are things in both the bible and the Quran that were and are still beyond human comprehension no matter how educated you are, you cannot write what you don't know.

I said earlier that the Quran spoke extensively about conception of pregnancy from sperm level to foetus formation. It went as far as stating the three stages involved and the numbers of days it takes Please I will like to know what the researchers have to say about this.

This are things that nobody could even comprehend till the modern science came to confirm it. There are still lots of things in the Quran that are yet to be understood and may take many more years of modern research with advanced equipments to understand.

Talking about the Bible of today, it cannot be disputed that certain set of people at some point in time may have for some devilish reason best known to them alter, twist or outrightly rewrite certain aspect of it going by different conspiracy, researches and versions of the book but for the Quran, God said in the Quran that it is a book for which it is well guarded by himself.

That this is indeed a Qur'an most Honorable in a book well-guarded.

Quran 57 verses 77-78

God was so confident in the preservation of it's originality that he issued an open challenge to anyone or group of people to produce anything similar to it.

“Or do they say: “He (Prophet Muhammad) has forged it (this Quran)?” Nay! They believe not! Let them then produce a recitation like it if they are truthful.”
(Quran 52 verses 33-34)

While researches and conspiracy has been able to suggest that the bible may have been altered at some point in history, No known research or conspiracy has ever suggested an alteration in the Quran.

Lastly, on your point. The Quran is not the history of Muhammed or neither is it about the life of Muhammed. It is rather a book of Gods instructions to Muhammed and the whole universe over the years of his prophethood. This instructions are drawn with references from happenings from the past (from the time of Adam till before he was born), The present (events happening around him that he himself didn't know about) and the future (things that are yet to happen or known to mankind).

Even the speakers and experts of the Arabic Language are of the fact that the words, arrangement and presentation of words in the Quran are such that are so deep that they are never in the history of the Arabic Language.
At portion highlighted. That's why I mentioned that study I spoke about. That's also why I did start that that since the Bible and the Quran where not directly written by the protagonists its possible that many things were misquoted and or misrepresentated.
That study I mentioned explicitly stated that the Mohammed was misrepresented in the Quran and that the Quran was not seamlessly written like the Bible was but was disjointed as if several people of different orientations and mindset wrote the books. They also gave proof the misrepresentation in several passages of the Quran. This case was also of the bible but to a far lesser form.

So let me get u right are you saying there is possibility those guys for this inspirations from Pythagoras, Galileo and Socrates?
Yes u understood that but what u forget is the act of misrepresentation. As u weren't there when both Jesus or Mohammed lived, how can u be sure that what they said they did was really so and not aadulterated misrepresentation of facts?

So by your assertion, what do you think are the chances that Jesus and Muhammad knew about the existence of those guys let alone their works and researches given what we know about them (Jesus being an uneducated capenter's son and Muhammad equally being an uneducated orphan).

BTW do you know the Quran also talked about the conception of pregnancy from sperm level to formation of the foetus.
But u miss the point. Everyone knows transmitted messages are 2% distorted. Everyone knows Jesus didn't write the Bible neither did Mohammed the Quran. How could they, like u said they couldn't cos they were uneducated. That doesn't mean they didn't have masters around them who studied them while they lived and died. I once came across a research on the authors of the Bible and Quran and the investigators arrived at the fact that those men where educated to an extend, if not they couldn't pull off what they did.
My point is this. Many things done by Jesus and Mohammed where not recorded. Also the stuffs written in the Bible and Quran are just opinions of a select few based on their belief and understanding. It is possible that Mohammed was misquoted many times or that Jesus was misrepresented and never actually did or said what they wrote they did.
