Give time for manufacturers to stop production.

Your appeal is baseless, don't you read that the ban has been in place 3 years ago?
Yet no proactive measures are being taken by the manufacturers and users, what we see is increase in production and distribution outlets .
The environmental degradation is of paramount importance. The worst part of it was people's deliberately throwing them them away arbitrarily.

It is not the fault of the official but that of the management, if their officials call their attention to it they will rebuff them or sack them

Health / Re: Many Covenant University Students ‘hospitalised’ Over Suspected Food Poisoning by drololaaof: 11:39pm On Jan 21
Omihanifa:
Hundreds of students of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, have reportedly been hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning in the institution’s butteries.

According to multiple sources who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES, the school’s medical centre has been overwhelmed due to the number of affected students.

But the university is keeping mum over the matter as calls and messages to relevant officials were ignored and not replied to for many hours.

Parent confirms development

Meanwhile, a parent, who is resident overseas, confirmed the development to PREMIUM TIMES in a telephone conversation on Saturday.

The source, who does not want to be quoted for fear of victimisation of the child, said the student has regained some balance and is now recuperating in the school.

The source said: “We have had difficulties reaching our child since we received the news. But earlier today (Saturday), we got through to our child who confirmed being affected by the food poisoning but is now recovering well and is fairly stable.

Other sources also confirmed the development but rued the school’s decision to keep the matter secret.

A former employee of the university, who also craved anonymity, said the institution should have spoken on the matter “to douse the tension but all this hide and seek game doesn’t help the university.”

Ban on use of phones by students

After the founder of the university and General Overseer of the Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, had abruptly announced the ban on the use of phones by the students of the institutions many years ago, any student found with a telephone on the campus is sanctioned.

The students who are offered computer tablets for their academic use are barred from accessing many websites and social media platforms.

In the past, the students were allowed to make use of a public phone booth for communication with their contacts outside the campus. Many students who adopted the use of email for communication also fear that their emails could could be tracked.

The development has made communication with the students difficult, even as the ongoing crisis rattles the institution.

Evasive university officials
Attempts to get reactions from the institution on the possible cause of the food poisoning, and how the situation is being managed were unsuccessful, as calls were evaded while messages were not replied to by officials.

The university’s Head of Media and Public Affairs, Chichi Ononiwu, who did not pick up her telephone for hours, quickly cut off the call as soon as our reporter mentioned the incident to her when she eventually picked up the call on Sunday night.

Ms Ononiwu, who requested the identity of our reporter when she eventually picked up the call, cut off the line as soon as the matter was raised, and has refused to pick up subsequent calls.

Other journalists also confirmed Ms Ononiwu’s similar behaviour when they called her for comments on the matter.

Not first time
It is not the first time the university would be recording incident of food poisoning on the campus. A similar development was reported in 2010 when many students were said to have been hospitalised. Newspaper reports at the time confirmed the development.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/660792-many-covenant-university-students-hospitalised-over-suspected-food-poisoning.html

Right organisation should sue the institution for the ban on use of phone y the students to avert the saga of cases like that of SCOAN,Jones town in the Americas and the East African pastor.

Religion / Re: My Take On The BBC Documentary On TB Joshua by drololaaof: 7:19am On Jan 11
gidgiddy:
I took my time yesterday to watch all three Episodes of the BBC documentary on late TB Joshua. A number on women of different races and nationalities, British, South African, Zimbabwean, American, Philippines and Nigerian, all came together to talk about TB Joshua

The one thing all these women had in common is that they once all moved from their respective countries to live in TB Joshua's Region's community, Synagogue Of All Nations, SOAN, and became part of his inner circle.

All the women gave horrific and graphic accounts of rape, underage sex, sexual abuse, physical and verbal abuse carried out on them by TB Joshua.

The South African woman claimed she had three abortions due to multiple rape by TB Joshua. The British women told how TB Joshua would send for them only to sexually molest them. The Zimbabwean gavee a story of how TB Joshua raped her as a virgin and underaged.

Even TB Joshua's own daughter came foward to tell how she confronted her father for multiple sexual molestation of women only for him to have her locked up for months and beaten daily.

I was also shocked at the Story of how the SOAN building collapsed, the lie that was told that an aircraft brought it down, and the coverup that followed as well as the 'fake miracles'

Even though TB Joshua is no longer here to defend himself, I believe these women. There is no smoke without fire. A group of women who live in different countries of the world cannot give similar accounts of sexual abuse by one man without it having an element of truth

I believe that TB Joshua was a rapist, sexual predator and a sociopath. I believe TB Joshua used religion to cover up the evil within himself. He operated as a man of God in the light, but was a devil in the dark.

I also believe that there are many well known men of God who are currently doing what TB Joshua did.
The greatest tragedy is the culpability of Nigerian government most especially Lagos state govt over the collapsed building , in other climes the place ought to be condoned off nobody is allowed to enter or leave for proper investigation . To make matter worst he said they are coming for him but his time is not yet .
No remorse for victims both dead and alive .
Yet some will be defending him Oye Olorun

An important thing to note are 1. The
body of the bottles for the fake products are scratched because of recycling. 2. The content will not be clear, in genuine drink one can nearly see through. 3 . The cork can also be of poor qualty 4. The usual pressure from genuine products when opened will be absent 5. Taste . Weldone NAFDAC but there were some carrying fake NAFDAC number.

Obnoxious2001:
Without much epistle, So I sent a wrong account no.,a correct Bank name and account name to a friend who I was expecting some funds from.

No he copied the acct no. And sent the money (to another person, the wrong acct. No. I provided)....

Now we had a discussion which lead to analysing the situation and I told him we both have blames on this transaction, but he doesn't want to acknowledge his fault.

Now the main question is
If you sent money to a wrong bank acct, who is to blame

Under normal circumstances, the account name should appear below the account number and the bank before, if it did not tally the name will not appear ,transaction cannot be authorized, the
sender ought to verify before authorisation.
Simply put the transaction cannot be fully effected because of the disparity in name ,bank and account number
Religion / Re: Has The Spirit Of Stealing Been Unleashed On Our Kids This Christmas? (Pic) by drololaaof: 9:00pm On Dec 24, 2023
jesusjnr2020:
Has The Spirit Of Stealing Been Unleashed On Our Kids This Christmas?

Many are finding the AI-generated images of kids being chased with stolen food, especially chicken with regards this Christmas season very amusing, hence why it's been trending of late, however that also illustrates how much the devil has blinded the eyes of many with his subtle tactics, that they can't even see that it's actually stealing they're finding very funny, as though stealing was now something to joke about. Worse still, when little children were being depicted as the perpetrators.

And considering how easily and fast it is for our little children to imitate what they see others do, especially when it has to do with kids like themselves, it seems a deliberate plan of the enemy to activate the spirit of stealing in our children using the opportunity of the Christmas period.

It's not a coincidence that this is also the most dangerous period of the year, where the most stealing and criminal activities were pepertrated by the adults, so it appears the plan is to also implant this bad habit into younger ones so as to entend this ugly trend well into our future generations.

So this is not something Christians should take lightly but be on their guards for their wards, because when the enemy via his LGBTQ+ crew said he was coming next for our children, it wasn't a joke.

He actually meant it however we shouldn't expect him to come in an obvious way, but in a cunning way which is more difficult to detect, considering how subtle he is in his applications and devices.

That's why we should be very alert and pray for our children like we've never done before, especially in this Christmas season which also stands as the most dangerous time of the year, so that whatever the enemy devices against them, none shall by any means harm them.

God bless.
Thank you for this elucidating eye opener post spiritually .
If we look at it on fb one might think it is ordinary or a fun fare but spiritually it connotes more than what we see.
God will deliver our children from the evil act .
