Oliran: Good evening mamas in the house, I want to go to my HMO to register, it's Alimosho General Hospital, my question is can I go there any day or is there a day assigned to pregnant women? I only went there for registration and I have not gone back since then, please I don't know how to go about it, please help a novice and a FIRST TIME MOM. Thank you and God bless you all. I use alimosho GH but not under HMO so I don't know how their HMO stuff is. If you are registering for the first time you go on a Tuesday early in the morning with your husband he will donate blood, you will do some tests scan and pay some fees about 17k (but I guess your HMO package will cover all those) and you will get booked for your first appointment with the doctor. I saw someone under NHIS. Your best bet is to go to the information center( any other day not necessarily a Tuesday) at the entrance of the maternal child care center and ask how they go about the HMO package to be properly guided so you don pay for things covered under your package . Then you prepare for a Tuesday with the info you have received and start your clinic. |

Chai tribalism is so deep, I didn't even remember that the guy is from somewhere when I said that stuff is not agbada on another thread.
Its nice, sleek, well tailored but its not agbada shikena.
There are different male outfits/ version of the agbada.
Dashiki Dariye Dabole
Experienced tailors know the drill, they all have their different styles. Dashiki was in vogue at some point. |

phineas: . Ok... am I the only one who thinks ebukas agbada was not an "agbada"?
My reason is simple. An agbada is a symbol of maturity,a flowing garment won by men as a symbol of attainment of age, wealth, wisdom or social influence.
Ideally a boy cannot wear the agbada with grace the flowing robe would not just sit right. So when ebukas takes the flowing awesomeness of the agbada and clips it into stylish submission.its no longer an agbada but a tunic. An odd mix of cultures from East,South south and the West is what I would use to describe the outfit and not "agbada the only thing missing is buttons and chains
E.g,you wouldn't call a bikers leather jacket,a blazer because it looks like one Well you are not the only one, that's not an agbada but the thing is whatever it is it was well tailored and looks sleek that's why its getting the attention. |

Its well tailored that's all.

Justbright: U are very funny... So u think d church does not have a cut?... How come a call to d G. O Cos 1000 naira Lool you think its a direct call to the G.O, its like a live service and everybody subscribed have to be on a call for quite some time, about 10 mins every few days I think. Its different from calling the G.O which is done with our normal call charges from our phones. Like I said airtel won't render that kind of special service for free, and do you want the church to pay 1000naira per month each for the hundreds of people that will subscribe? If you feel the church has a cut, then that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. I will frown if a church collects entry fee of 1k but this one its airtel that's being paid and it's airtel that will determine how much they will collect for such service not the church, or are they paying the money to the church? No.You are buying your card and subscribing. Will airtel render such special service for free? No. |

It seems you are not getting outrageous bills. I would rather pay for exactly what I consume.
Those yeye discos will not distribute prepaid to those that don't have steady supply because they know they will lose money. |

Water corp never stopped functioning, my peeps at iponri estate rely solely on lagos water corp. Some parts of surulere use water coop.
They are still very functional in the places they have coverage.
Lots of those living there don't even dig bore holes and funny enough the lagos water corp is effective. They have clean water which is very constant and their bills is quite affordable. |

kopell: My brother land maters is not word of mouth. That survey most have the “word” free from any government acquisitions writing on it. Another better way of you getting the facts behind the survey is, after every thing is done. Go to land office for official search NOT WINDOW SEARCH the window, they will just tell you anything without documentation prove. After submitted to land registrar for search, it’s take couple of days to get the official results. Official fee payment with government confirmation that gives you details truth about the land. Don’t know what State is these land located, Lagos and Abuja are about same procedures. Thanks God bless |

2 caveats: I didn't buy clothes there at all so I don't know about quality of clothes, I also shopped last year December so my info may not be as current Hello mama could you please describe where you got the baby items, I have only been to aspamda and the balogun market inside the trade fair some years back . Which particular market at the trade fair and where will I drop if I take those keke going inside or is it the one they sell cosmetics which is trekable from under bridge. Also the prices were they fair compared to idumota? Thanks |

Ugosample: In my experience there, I got to see what the problem with Nigeria is, especially those of us from the South.
we lack contentment as a people, and are too materialistic and greedy
Stealing, Extortion, Begging, desperation and get rich quick or die trying mentality
That's what we suffer, and the mess at MMIA shows all that Nice points, we Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria and that's just the fact, this country's problem is systemic. Anyone that wants to deal with corruption is this country is on a very long ride. In fact doing the right thing seems wrong to a lot of Nigerians and you can get punished for being the right one. |

Afam4eva: Nice topic.
Now here's the reason why a lot of Nigerian men complain of Nigerian ladies. Yes, a lot of Nigerian girls have lost their morals to the influence of the western world, so you would see ladies, who unlike our mothers are not patient and once they can't have their way in marriage, they will ask for a divorce. While we agree that these girls exist and are actually very many, there are also a lot of Nigerian girls that are humble and intelligent. it's just that the modern Nigerian man is not really attracted to these kind of girls. It's either because they don't look like Kim Kardashan or Beyonce or are not as modern as they would like. These ladies im talking about re actually pretty but they're not vain. They probably don't even have an instagram account but are educated. But our Naija brother want a slice of that slay queen and later they start complaining that their wives can't cook or havve bad character bla bla bla. If the kitchen is too hot pls get out. Shey men too have not lost morals or you think our fathers too behaved like some boys(parading themselves as men) we have around today? That aside I wanted to comment on the bolded part, you are right about this. There are very beautiful , intelligent, smart and even classy girls out there who will make very decent wives but just because they seem not to fit into the unrealistic dream of how naija men expect their future wives to be they leave those ones and start going for the ones that will give them problems. I feel that most naija men are attracted to "bad" girls, they now start saying All naija girls are bad bla bla bla. There are bad men and women, play boys are on the rise these days does that mean a lady must marry one- no. Good men and ladies are everywhere you just need to play your part. You marry a bad wife or a bad husband its nobody's fault but yours you can't blame your spouse for that you had a choice I suppose. Men should stop complaining. |
