The huge question to the Nigerian Senate who enjoys no immunity. Does our constitution deal with abuse of the immunity clause? If not, isn't it high time this lacuna gets treated for the sake of generations to come?

The most annoying set of people in our nation today are health workers. They are so used to seeing death that their attitude will make you wonder if they are in a secret society waiting to harvest blood. Take a patient to them you will either fight or beg them before their fake treatment will start. 90% of deaths today are caused by health workers negligence jare

You are simply being administered an integrity test and you are failing by delaying. Print your bank statement showing the credit and debit, take it to the company management as prove then offer yourself to them to work for a month without pay.

Health / Should Our Children Go Back To School? by dshe: 4:28am On Aug 31, 2020
For those of us who have truly seen how highly contagious Coronavirus is and as a parent, especially those of us who know the difficulties of health challenges, my greatest fear is not the number of years lost out of school by my children(that can be recovered) but the health risk associated with close classroom contact. Can we truly support immediate resumption of schools in the ember months or wait atleast till next year when those expected drugs and vaccines, I believe, would begin to be circulated?

Family / Re: My Fellow Married Women And Mothers, How Do You Deal With A Husband Like Mine? by dshe: 5:10am On May 12, 2020
Your story touched me and am forced to write. A man is born with this ego ma, it's in our DNA, only a gold digger would claim not to have it. Ma your husband loves you, but now he needs your help. I say this because I didn't see anything like womanizing, drinking or any other vice. He is a strong man who ordinarily would prefer to be a complete bread winner. That 7am you decide to divorce him, 7:01am, one small girl would come and be forming "Oga madam" in your matrimonial home. If you dont try a different approach to increase your romance, you will keep increasing the gap between you. See , I was able to forgive my wife who committed adultery when I was down, I wouldn't want people to dishonor her, she pleaded for her honor and a second chance. I felt pity for her despite the many advice I got. If I had pushed her away rather than help her redeem herself, maybe one of us would have been dead by now. right now we are doing great. And, I am enjoying my new position as the ultimate bread winner. My suspicion turned so bad that I tested her with more handsome and richer men but she just turned them down opting to fix her marriage instead. That part of a woman being the peacemaker apologising even before an offence is committed will not kill you, but rather would improve your romance. MARRIAGE IS NOT A COMPETITION, BUT A HUGE DAILY SACRIFICE. Another key thing, trust me on this, I have seen greater war between couples who save quietly. Its really bad, bring him into your savings plan, lastly try giving him that part of your salary after deducting God's own and savings, explain to him what happened to the rest. E.g "Sweetheart after deducting our tithe and the savings we agreed on. This is what we have left from my salary this month to spend" in essence turn him into the treasurer. This will teach him to take charge once more, he will go out and add to your effort believe me, this worked for my neighbour. The man turned a hustler overnight to complement his wife. Hope you dont tell your parents everything that goes on in your home? If you do then stop. I pray your made in heaven marriage is restored, Good luck.

Education / Re: UNIJOS Erroneously Awards First Class Degrees To Law Graduands by dshe: 10:19am On Jun 10, 2018
einsteino:

The bolded is the problem with our system. The Dean just openly admitted that there is a system that rations excellence regardless of how many people work hard and merit it. I remember there was a time when Electronics Engineering dept in UNN produced over 10 first class and the faculty sat down to slash their CGPA down to 4.49 cos of this same mentality of having more than a few first class is abnormal. A system that rations success is lethal.
In unijos eh, careers are ruined. The school produces more pass degrees than any other. They purposely downgrade most students with the so called aim of "maintaining excellence". Holders of 2nd class upper are actually first class graduates and if you dare apply for remarking/regrading eh, I pity malaria.

You would have a better paying job soon by God's grace sir, emm... Sir would you advice someone who just bagged his first degree like me to consider taking a contract staff job in a bank now or rather still be on the look out for a job that soothes my field(computer engineering)..your advice is urgently needed sir.

I appreciate you. I think you should take any job pending your securing a desired one. An idle mind they say...Just make sure you are a good customer service person, I still am till this moment. But don't allow the charade of banking get into your head, stay focused on your pursuit. your case is distinct from mine I was just too committed to the job that other things suffered. Banking still resonates in my blood. The sky is your starting point.

Career / Access Bank Promotes Contract Staffs Over 10 Years. First Bank About To. by dshe: 5:11am On Nov 04, 2015
After some tests and irrespective of their class of degrees, They were not just converted but also promoted to assistant banking officers immediately. This is totally distinct from the quasi conversions we saw at other banks. It seems there is an Abraham Maslow at play here. Sources say its a wise move, better hold on to what you have trained hands-on so they can train the new guys. It seems the banks are becoming wiser, Don't easily let go of your best customer service experts whom you have spent so much time and resources to train only to be snatched and utilized by competitors is clear positive business sense, its time to ground them. In a related move, First bank is about to embark on its own conversion process after conducting a silent test last weekend. Congrats to the guys at Access bank you deserve it. Just make the bank proud.
