They were both senior members of the SDP in 1992/1993 through the June 12 saga. In that era, Tinubu was a Lagos Senator and Chairman of Senate Committee on Banking & Finance (one of the three most powerful Committees in the Senate of 1992) and Atiku was a Presidential aspirant during SDP's National Convention in Jos. Both Tinubu and Atiku were Gen. Shehu Yar'Adua's boys in that era.

Tinubu gave Atiku a soft landing and a refuge when he was booted out of PDP by Obasanjo's hatred and vindictiveness- Tinubu handed the ACN Presidential ticket to Atiku in 2007!

Tinubu also wooed and welcomed Atiku into APC in 2013/2014...The only reason Atiku left APC was Buhari- his relationship with Tinubu is super intact. If you know, you know, lol.

There are countless living witnesses to the philanthropist streak of MKO Abiola.

His liberal mind caused him to receive countless traditional titles from EVERY STATE in Nigeria- East, West, South, North! No Nigerian, living or dead, has had that Midas touch.

He was the champion of reparation for Africa by the band of colonialist countries all over the world. He spent his personal funds, huge funds in fact, to fight that cause!

Quite a lot of children took after his exceptional intelligence (Abiola had a First Class BSc. Accounting degree from Glasgow University, Scotland), and he was a chartered accountant and President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE. Some of them, Wura Abiola, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, and Tundun Abiola had First class degrees too. Wura had a PhD from Harvard...Her management consultancy firm, Management Transformation Limited, in Ikoyi, is thriving. I have heard others such as Jamiu, Lekan, Abdul, Ayo, speak too; and they talked intelligently.

History should swiftly return to the school curriculum in Nigeria; I read a lot of unintelligent thrash from the “indomie generation” on NR and elsewhere.

The company, NIBSS, where he’s been MD/CEO since 2012, is a foremost, revolutionary payment system solution provider for ALL banks! Ade was an ED at Union Bank prior to being MD/CEO at NIBSS; one could not have been more qualified for this role than that!

For the information of dafties on NR; with this nomination, this is the current configuration of the Board of Governors of the CBN:

1. Governor: Godwin Emefiele- South-South
2. Deputy Governor, Economic Policy: Dr. Nnanna- South-East
3. Deputy Governor, Financial Systems Stability, FSS: Aishah Ahmad- North-Central
4. Deputy Governor, Corporate Services, Edward Adamu- North-East
5. Deputy Governor nominee, Operations, Ade Shonubi- South-West

With this list, Aishah Ahmad is the ONLY MUSLIM among the CBN Board of Governors! The other 4 are Christians, including the Governor! So, how could any sane human being fault Buhari on this appointment?

As at today, there are provisions for only 5 members, that is: 1 Governor and 4 Deputy Governors. So, the only outstanding geo-political region, the North-West, where the President originated from, has NO representative on the CBN Board of Governors.

So, how could anyone insult the President regarding tribalism for merely replacing a Deputy Governor from the South-West?

Someone who should know just gave a hint to me that Ayo Fayose and Bola Tinubu have been holding clandestine meetings in Lagos since Fayemi emerged as APC candidate in the Ekiti elections. They also spoke extensively on the phone after Adeyeye defected to APC yesterday...

People who know about the internal workings of both parties claimed that the reason Fayose had been courting Tinubu since the past 2 years is now coming to the fore.

Also, he (Fayose) always referred to Tinubu as "our undisputable leader" even as he is the only PDP Governor in the South West and despite that he continued to insult Buhari, who is in the same APC with Tinubu!

I have just read the news story regarding the court proceeding at the Federal High Court Lagos, yesterday, on how Rashidi Ladoja as PDP Governor of Oyo state looted the treasury and particularly unilaterally ordered the sale of the state's shares for a discounted rate of N1.6 billion without any State Executive Council meeting or approval and pocketed the entire N1.6billion! N1.6 billion in 2003-2007 (11-15 years ago) was a huge amount of money!

And this same thief, old fool bastard called Rashidi Ladoja is in PDP pontificating about good governance!

PDP started well (with the founding fathers such as Alex Ekwueme, Solomon Lar, Abubakar Rimi, and others) but derailed completely from 2003 after Obasanjo's first term.
