Nigerians could needlessly act as pathetic "mind readers" sometimes...

Even if he (Kokun Foundation guy) is doing all of these for public attention, praise, fame, or future political ambition; why not leave God to judge him? Leave the issue between his soul and God!

People that are insinuating dodgy intention regarding this guy's amazing charity stories should take a chill and start such foundations where they can assist the lowest of the low in society like him!

Insulting this guy is akin to refusing to give alms to beggars anymore just because one beggar turned out to be fake. Or refusing to fly because of plane crashes. Or refusing to travel long distances by road owing to accidents!

This guy should be encouraged. Rather, our lazy youths will continue to ebb away their lives continuously discussing Saraki, Omisore, Adeleke, Buhari, Jonathan and other politicians whose family members are enjoying their lives and who give no hoot about the so-called emotional supporters!

Omisore, be wise; collect N2 billion from each party (PDP and APC) and let the best option for Osun state take the Governorship position on Thursday.

Now, I have a preference for Ademola Adeleke, based on his needless, unceasing persecution before the initial election. LOL.

Simply put, Omisore is available to the highest bidder. Negotiations are still ongoing on all fronts and all options are on the table. No agreement reached yet with any party.

If I am Omisore though, I won't waste my time asking for any senatorial ticket or future appointments. I will simply ask for N2billion since the two parties are desperate for victory. N1.5billion cash upfront and N500million after the election. Tinubu can pay for APC while Saraki and Deji Adeleke can pay for PDP.

Knowing how deceptive his fellow politicians could be, in both PDP and APC, he should seek to get paid upfront to prevent “Yoruba Yoruba” story after Thursday! Lol.

Last Friday night, I predicted that Adeleke, the dancing man, will lose to Oyetola of APC. My suggestion was based on my view that the party, PDP, robbed the cerebral Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi in the primaries and gave the ticket to Adeleke. But with the results declared, I wish to state the following:

1. The Osun election is a referendum on daft Governors who fly private jets, spend security votes unchecked, and enjoy several other perks of office BUT owe workers’ salaries. Workers who already earned their pay! Workers who also have families and dependants!

2. Governors and other political leaders should know that civil servants are powerful, especially in non-industrialized states (except Lagos, Kano, Rivers, etc). It is all about economics: civil servants have voting-age children, wards, relations, etc who are their dependents. Lack of salary also has a domino effect- e.g. when the trader in the market asks buyers why they don’t buy and they respond that it was because of lack of salary, the traders and their own dependents, will spread the word and seek to vote out the offending government.

3. Tinubu got served by the very arrogant and insensitive comment he made at the palace of the traditional ruler during campaigns.

4. People of Osun West felt that APC took them for a ride by picking Oyetola from Osun Central.

5. APC went into election with a divided house- some of their bigwigs defected to PDP; they include Peter “Power” Babalola. Others defected to ADP, in fact the ADP candidate who got about 50,000 votes, Moshood Adeoti, from Iwo in Osun West, was the Secretary to the Osun State Government before he resigned in anger and became the ADP candidate.

6. Governors like Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Ortom of Benue, and others should watch their backs. Owe civil servants’ salaries and lose elections! It has just happened in Osun under Aregbesola yesterday, as it happened in Ekiti under Fayose last July.

7. Arrogant politicians should rather engage their aggrieved members ahead of elections, rather than boast that “we will win without them”. Fayose said so to Adeyeye, Owoseni Ajayi, Fatima Raji-Rasaki and others and Aregbesola said the same thing to Adeoti, Peter Babalola and others too! They have now regretted it!

8. Osun voters have shown that they are very intelligent. Aregbesola, an Ijesha man, lost in 4 out of the 6 local governments in Ijeshalsnd, but Adeoti, Adeleke, and Omisore massively won their areas of Iwo, Ede, and Ife. This meant that “home boy sentiments” never mattered to Ilesha people. They simply protested lack of salary payment. “Na our son is the Governor dem go chop”?

Finally, this is victory for ordinary Nigeria people. Godfathers and their evil money cannot save them from electoral humiliation! Adeleke will finally win; whether or not he is a dancing clown.

PDP, congratulations. You deserved your achievement. A huge lesson for arrogant politicians.

7. They go to the election petition tribunal, paying SANs millions of naira to defend their watery claims; and they still lose at the tribunal.

I attended the event. The Governor ran like a playful child, left the position he was (beside Governor Okowa) and stood beside Tinubu for the pictures. The entire hall at Eko Hotel erupted in spontaneous and prolonged laughter and applause!

A certain guy on my table said: "I feel so sorry for the Governor. Imagine the way he ran to Tinubu. Let Tinubu have pity on the man and allow him a 2nd term".

Moshood Adeoti (immediate past SSG to Aregbesola) of ADP is just shouting with disjointed thoughts, while Fatai Akinbade of ADC is a non-starter; he’s completely afraid to even give meaningful responses.

And Ademola Adeleke of PDP ran away from the debate. His F9 o’level result issue might have been the reason; he seemed to have cleverly dodged the debate for that reason...

However, do debates influence elections?

I’m vindicated. I clearly stated on this platform (see my previous posts on the first thread regarding Jide Sanwo-Olu’s “ambition”). I wrote that Jagaban just wanted him (Ambode) to “behave well” after which he (Jagaban) will “forgive him” but I was insulted in some responses.

Ab initio, the purported collection of governorship nomination form by Jide in Abuja APC National Secretariat was to rattle Ambode and make him hearken to the call of hard-core politicians who worked for his 1st term. Tinubu was NEVER opposed to Ambode’s 2nd term; all na “political game”.

Tinubu simply did the same thing he did to Fashola before his 2nd term.

With all the infighting and political ramblings amongst the opposition, President Buhari is sure to have a comfortable walk over into his second term.

I have personally not seen anyone yet (amongst the present crop of presidential candidates) that has that political clout (across board) to create much upset for PMB's reelection.

Looking forward to see a fierce issue based campaign from all of them though. We might still change our minds but PMB+PYO for now.

Now, Buhari, as President in APC (with the old ANPP as coalition member), will assist Shekarau to unseat a sitting Senator of PDP called Kwankwaso, again in 2019! Thus, Shekarau will likely prevent Kwankwaso from a 2nd term as Senator!

PDP’s fatal error was the daft dissolution of elected PDP Kano State EXCO who had a 4-year tenure just to please defecting Kwankwaso in spite of a court injunction barring PDP. A lawless party; we thought they had changed. PDP stupidly went ahead to make Shekarau’s supporters minority in a party they suffered to build since 2014 when Kwankwaso left them for APC.

2019 is likely going to be the year Kwankwaso would be retired from politics.

A combo of Ganduje, Buhari, and now Shekarau is definitely too tough for Kwankwaso to fight. His (Kwankwaso’s) political end is nigh.

Any Yoruba man or woman who wrote here that APC is a Muslim party because of the choice of Akinlade must have been a bastard; pardon my French, please.

In the 6 states of the South West; talking about indigenes (not residents) these are the majority and minority ratios:

1. Lagos: Muslim majority
2. Oyo: Muslim majority
3. Ondo: Christian majority
4. Osun: Muslim majority
5. Ogun: Both Christian and Muslim (50:50)
6. Ekiti: Christian majority

So, in a way, it is almost a ratio of 3 to 3 for each religion.

Now, in Ogun state, Amosun is the first Muslim elected Governor. Previous Governors were all Christians: Onabanjo, Osoba (twice), Daniel.

Oyo state with majority Muslim population overwhelmingly voted Bola Ige, a Christian, in 1979. They also voted Omololu Olunloyo, another Christian, as his successor, in 1983.

In Osun State, with Muslim majority, they voted Oyinlola and Erelu Obada (both Christians) as Governor and Deputy Governor in 2003!

Yoruba people do not “carry religion on their heads” (pardon my street lingo) like some other tribes. Only among Yoruba people could you see a Muslim husband drive his Christian wife to church, deliverance, crusade, etc with no issue whatsoever!

During PDP’s reign in 2003 to 2011, ALL their Governors were Christians except Ladoja and they were voted by Muslims without any consideration for their religion! They were Oyinlola, Akala, Daniel, Fayose (twice), Agagu; and yet, Muslims did not complain.

In fact, when Akala won Oyo in 2011, ALL the 5 PDP Governors in the South West were Christians (Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alao Akala, Segun Oni, Segun Agagu, Gbenga Daniel); Muslims not only voted them, they (Muslims) did not complain.

No single tribe in Nigeria practically demonstrates religious tolerance than Yorubas.

I have got countless mix of Muslims and Christians as aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, etc and we relate perfectly well as people bound by blood! No discrimination whatsoever!
