BMC at their usual best, please charge her to court do all the needful and save us this distractions.
The news item is true. It was actually a court proceeding and the media only did their job by reporting it. The properties are 56 (they were actually listed). The story is in ALL the major newspapers published this morning.

This is nothing about BMC. It is about a woman who allowed unbridled greed to blind her. Let's denounce ALL corrupt people, and stop supporting them for tribal, religious, and party affiliation reasons! It is on our collective interest, Zuma!
Christianity EtcRe: Use Traditional Means To Find Ozubulu Killers - Aloysius Ikegwuonu To Monarchs by DTaj: 3:35pm On Aug 17, 2017
Hmmm, someone ("Bishop") who built several churches is now asking his people to consult JUJU to unravel those who killed worshippers in the church he built!

Truth be told, so many Nigerians (and other Africans) still hold their traditional (juju) beliefs to their hearts even with their acceptance of Christianity and Islam. Interesting.

My experience in Cote d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Benin Republic, Guinea, Ghana, and Sierra Leone clearly showed that Africans are still very much tied to their traditional religions in spite of the outward show of Christian and Islamic religiosity...

Damn! I don't believe Nairaland people are responding to this thrash! When I read the title, I expected to see people collecting/sharing money.

The daft Deji Adeyanju guy took three pictures of currency wraps ON THE FLOOR (with no persons at all), which showed a bare ground AND other pictures of people backing the camera in a lush-green Unity Fountain! Two totally different places without any single person sharing the so-called money!

And people who attended schools actually believed this and are ejaculating on the thread already!

PoliticsRe: Short & Deceitful Little Imps Osinbajo Is Sick, His Nightmare Just Started – FFK by DTaj: 11:51am On Aug 09, 2017
History (the internet) never forgets.

As OBJ's errand boy (Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication), Femi Fami-Kayode, the garrulous former inmate at a psychiatric home in Accra, Ghana (reason he still talks and writes like a mad man that he is/was), insulted great men like Chinua Achebe to no end! He insulted Wole Soyinka. He insulted everybody that had a name during that era of "come and chop".

He shamelessly stated that he slept with Ojukwu's wife (Bianca Onoh-Ojukwu) several times in London and even had the unkind mention of how wild Bianca used to scream when f..king her! What manner of a 'demented child' in an adult's skin writes such inanity about a married woman who is still alive?

Truth is, Femi Fani-Kayode is a sick hustler. Just a few years ago when he defected from PDP to APC, he praised people like Aregbesola, Tinubu, Buhari, etc to high heavens! He campaigned together with Tinubu, Aregbesola and other APC people (the videos are on YouTube, the internet never forgets).

Tomorrow, if this same APC government offer him a 'pot of soup' as Special Adviser, not minding that he did the same job several years ago under OBJ, and even became a Minister later under the same OBJ, he would start praising Buhari, Osinbajo and APC again!

A man with no single honor and integrity should never be considered for any meaningful intellectual engagement. Femi Fani-Kayode is such a man! Pity!

PDP should give us far better alternatives.

By the way, Atiku started fighting his party, APC, the moment the MD of NPA, Hadiza Bala-Usman broke the wicked maritime monopoly of his largest 'pot-of-soup', INTELS and opened the business to competition and efficiency!

Atiku is the worst of the lot. God forbid!

PoliticsRe: Court Orders Seizure Of Diezani Alison-Madueke's Banana Island House, Funds by DTaj: 8:32am On Jul 20, 2017
And some silly clowns want PDP to return in 2019!

The same party under laissez-faire, docile, meek, too gentle, weak, steal-as-you-wish, and do-as-you-like Goodluck Jonathan; and under which Nigeria was practically "bought" by rabidly corrupt people like Diezani!

How could a woman be this greedy?

Having reached Director level at Shell (with humongous salary, perks, and allowances) and also being the wife of a former Military Governor and Chief of Naval Staff (Admiral Allison Maduekwe) before Jonathan nominated her as Minister (under Yar'Adua) and made her a super-Minister for an extra 5 years (from 2010), why did dhse have to steal so much againhuh

PDP was indeed a cancer to Nigeria.

Voter cards should be cleaned in preparation for 2019 elections. All corrupt politicians (whether in PDP, APC, or APGA) should be voted out!
EducationRe: JAMB Remits N5billion To FG Coffers – Spokesperson by DTaj: 8:10am On Jul 19, 2017
For those who do not know, the reason this is a major news item (and for which Prof. Oloyede and his team at JAMB should be commended and encouraged) is that under past JAMB Registrars, JAMB always ended in deficit (they always borrowed money) after the UTME.

Under Oloyede, the following initiatives happened:

1. Massive negotiation for discounts with banks on the commission and other fees payable for safe keeping of exam materials.

2. Blockage of ALL loopholes in procurement of ALL items used for the exams (from appliances to stationery).

3. Pre-qualification of ALL contracts and opening up of the contract process (as opposed to the past, especially under the immediate past Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde where only very few contractors (who were "ready to play ball"wink were engaged.

4. ALL staff posted out-of-station were promptly paid their allowances (to improve staff motivation) unlike in the past when staff returned form external posting and they will be 'negotiating' with the Director of Finance and his boys to be paid their legitimate allowances.

5. Oloyede also brought a completely new set of staff appraisal system (hence, everyone at JAMB now sit up and do their work rather than get busy seeking contracts for supplies in JAMB).

So, why won't celebrate a person (Oloyede) who is returning N5 billion to the coffers of government, as compared to his predecessors who not only spend EVERY KOBO collected as fees for UTME forms and subvention, but also borrowed!

Let me also inform you that Oloyede has told JAMB staff that from next year, JAMB will be paying staff salaries from fees charged on forms and IGR (i.e. they won't depend on annual FG budget/grant anymore)! What could be better than this? This information is not in the media space yet...

Professor of Arabic or not, for someone with the following positions across diverse agencies and establishments, do you still doubt his integrity, competence, and fair-mindedness?

See the list of Oloyede's "past and present":

Member of University Governing Council at Unilorin; National President of Unilorin Alumni Association (after having been previously elected as 1st and 2nd Vice President respectively for various terms); Member of almost innumerable Committees and Task Forces at Unilorin; Chairman of Unilorin Holdings Limited; Director of Unilorin Consultancy Services; Director of Academic Planning; Deputy Vice Chancellor; Co-Secretary of the National Political Reform Conference (appointed by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2005); Consultant to the National Universities Commission (NUC); National Coordinator of the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (appointed by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2007); President of Association of African Universities (AAU). AAU is the apex organization for higher education in the whole of Africa; International Advisory Board member of International Network for Higher Education in Africa (INHEA); Vice Chancellor of a second-generation federal University, Unilorin; Visiting Professor to several Universities in Nigeria and abroad; Professor in the School of Arts and Social Sciences at National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) after his tenure as Vice Chancellor of Unilorin; JAMB Registrar.

Oloyede (who got a First Class degree from Unilorin and was awarded a Federal Govt scholarship as an undergraduate, and who was appointed as Professor at 41) is from Abeokuta in Ogun state; every Egba man and woman should be proud of this guy, sentiments aside!

Irritating!

David Mark, the 30-something year-old Minister of Communications under IBB who infamously stated arrogantly that "telephone was not for the poor".

David Mark, the arrogant, petulant 30-something year-old Military Governor and IBB boy who asked NYSC members serving in Niger State, when he was the Governor, to be flogged for refusing his vain commands.

David Mark, the ONLY Senator to have been elected for 5 terms in the Senate (from 1999 till now) as though he is the only Idoma man worthy of that position.

David Mark, the man who embezzled funds and committed massive nepotism when he flooded Federal MDAs with his native Idoma people during his tenure as Senate President under Yar'Adua and Jonathan.

David Mark, the Senate President who shamelessly encouraged "bribe for confirmation" of Federal Government nominees and bribing of Senate Committee members by Heads/D-G, Executive Secretaries of MDAs.

David Mark, who has bee in government ("chopping" and "chopping"wink since 1985 when some Nairalanders have not been born, lol!

Why are we so backward? Has anyone of you seen the curriculum of Catholic seminaries? They include study of all other major religions for which assessments are set!

He (Senator-elect Ademola Adeleke) will return to APC before the end of this year, 2017. Guys, book-mark this post and this date.

He won't stay in the same party with Iyiola Omisore and Jelili Adesiyan who punched his late brother in the face and beat him to a pulp which made him leave PDP for APC in 2014.

Ask real Ede people about this. A lot of people did anti-party activities (including Ondo APC people who Argebesola offended by supporting Olusoka Oke of AD against Akeredolu of APC) to get back at Aregbesola...

The election loss by APC was to teach Aregbesola a lesson- in fact, Oyinlola, who is an APC chieftain coordinated the structure that ensured that Hussain of APC lost in so many LGs that APC had always won. The election was APC vs APC; PDP should never rejoice.

I do not have time for any party or politician (98% OF THEM ARE THIEVES), but note my post...
PoliticsRe: Attempt To Declare Saraki Acting President Fails At Senate by DTaj: 3:55pm On Jul 04, 2017
PDP was corrupt and evil, but APC is turning out to be far worse! How could members of the same party be fighting shamelessly like this virtually everyday?

Imagine reading what that clown called Senator Kabiru Marafa (APC Zamfara State) is saying. This was someone who initially hated Saraki so much and claimed that he was supporting the party, APC, and formed the anti-Saraki "Unity Forum" among senators. After Saraki reshuffled Senate Committee Chairmanship positions and made him the Chairman of Committee on Oil and Gas (Downstream), the silly ass-hole immediately became Saraki's body-guard and staunch supporter. It was all about personal interest!

In Osun state, today, the people (Omisore, Jelili Adesiyan, and others) who punched and slapped late Senator Isiaka Adeleke and drove him away from PDP to APC in 2014 are the same people his brother, Ademola Adeleke, is 'sleeping together with' in PDP ahead of the senatorial election on July 8! He is in bed with people who practically wanted to kill his late brother in 2014!

Any youth who burns data to support politicians online and offline needs a brain scan!

PoliticsRe: Throwback Photo Of Osinbajo With Tunde Fowler by DTaj: 2:48pm On Jun 22, 2017
The man referred to as "another colleague" is Mr. Yinka Asekun, who was nominated as an Ambassador by Osinbajo recently. He was the Chairman of WEMA Bank and resigned only last month after he was nominated as ambassador (and before his screening by the Senate).

Anyone who knows Acting President Osinbajo knows that he is an active member of Igbobi Old Boys Association and he maintained his friendship with majority of his classmates from that famous secondary school. He also relates well with old boys who were his junior in that school. In fact, he has helped (and has continued to help) so many of them in their professional endeavors (lawyers, bankers, consultants, engineers, educationists, lecturers, etc) from when he was a Law lecturer at LASU and UNILAG before Tinubu poached him as Commissioner for Justice/Attorney General of Lagos State.

Moral of the picture/story: "Never forget your friends from time of little beginnings/childhood; they are likely to be more loyal to you than new 'emergency' friends who would flock around you due to your money and influence and run fast (and abandon you) if your situation changes!"
PoliticsRe: Sheriff Unveils Ademola Adeleke As PDP Osun Senatorial Candidate In Abuja by DTaj: 10:47pm On Jun 15, 2017
Much as most of us mourned Isiaka Adeleke's demise, giving the ticket automatically to his younger brother, Ademola, might boomerang.

First, Ede, from where the Adekekes originate, is not the only major part of that senatorial district. There are many other big towns there.

Second, how could Ademola Adeleke prepare for APC's screening and left for PDP immediately after Hussain was reinstated for primary election by APC's National Working Committee?

Third, let's be fair to Aregbesola. Hussain, the APC's candidate was the sole candidate for the APC in the 2015 senatorial elections but because late Isiaka Adekeke decamped to the APC (from PDP) after the Minister of Police Affairs under Jonathan, Jelili Adesiyan, Iyiola Omisore and others slapped and punched him in public, Aregbesola applied pressure on Hussain to step down for late Isiaka Adelekr who was a new APC member with a promise to compensate Hussain later. This was after Hussain had spent so much on his ambition. So, did anyone expect Aregbesola to betray Hussain after Hussain had painfully stepped down in 2015 for the same Isiaka Adeleke?

Fourth, Makarfi's PDP faction is publicly supporting the SDP candidate, meaning that PDP votes will be shared between Ademola Adeleke and the SDP candidate even in Ede where the Adelekes are popular. This is a huge advantage for Hussain of APC! The same misfortune that happened to PDP in Ondo state governorship election is about happening in Osun in July!

Fifth, say what you want, Aregbesola's political influence in Osun state is unshakable! People who know nothing about Osun politics are ranting and foaming in the mouth here! Same way they did in Edo state (Osagie Ize-Iyamu) and Ondo state (Eyitayo Jegede)! What happened? APC won!

This is one of the reasons that makes Nnamdi Kanu talk aggressively to the Niger delta people who thinks that Igbos are their problem.

A Yoruba woman who owns a tailoring shop was gifted oil blocks in the Niger Delta and from it becomes the Richest black woman while the ND women are languishing in degraded environments, fishing with canoes in polluted rivers to survive with no modern comfort at home.
Kontinu!!! to see the already marginalized Igbos as trying to take over your Oyel because you cant differenciate reality from propaganda. Ndi ara!
But it was a South-South woman (Maryam Babangida from Delta State) who influenced her husband (IBB) to give the Yoruba woman the oil well.

In fact, the last picture at the London wedding shows IBB's first daughter, Aisha Babangida (extreme left), Alakija, and Toyin Saraki (extreme right).

The A-Z of the story is that the rich do not fight about tribe, religion, or region; only "I never chop" like you rant here on NR and elsewhere.

Osinbajo is such a gracious man!

He embraces people from every part of the country and appears very, very sincere.

He gave Wike the name "Mr. Projects" which Rivers State government has been using in its various media publications. Today, a big, glossy booklet published by Rivers State Government was inserted into every copy of THISDAY newspaper and Osinbajo's picture and quote where he named Wike as "Mr. Projects" was generously splashed on a full page titled "Why I called him Mr. Projects". Even 90% of congratulatory adverts for Wike in today's major newspapers referred to him as "Mr. Projects".

Osinbajo meets with Arewa, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ikenga, Afenifere, PDP and APC politicians, without discrimination.

When you see the combo of: a Law Professor, a SAN, a good orator, and a Pastor (although I am a Muslim), you could not expect less!

Very presidential...Another technocrat discovered by Tinubu. Huge leadership and mentoring lessons!
PoliticsRe: Wike Reacts To Amaechi's Award Rejection by DTaj: 2:07pm On May 27, 2017
Scoundrel? Moral burden?

So, when did Amaechi become all of these?

Was it when Wike served Amaechi as Campaign Manager?

Was it when Wike was appointed by Amaechi as Chief of Staff (the closest and most powerful aide to anyone in an executive position- Local Government Chairman, DG, Executive Secretary, Governor, President, etc)?

Was it when Amaechi nominated (and insisted on making) Wike as Federal Minister of State for Education (in spite of a huge protest by Rivers State PDP members and EXCo at that time)?

These two should just end their childish war and face their tasks!

And they have so many senseless, "I never chop" jobless clowns among the youths on NR and elsewhere fighting proxy wars for these two "friends" of so many years!

Nbote, you were wrong and El-Rufai was right. I am not a fan of El-Rufai but he told the truth in this instance.

I am surprised that you did not know that GEJ actually gave N2 billion each from the ecological fund to "only friendly PDP states". Some Governors who were denied their rights even complained at the time and the media reported it. The Governors of states that were not paid by GEJ did not keep quite. You could google the story.

And for your information, contrary to your comment, only disbursements such as FAAC allocation, excess crude, refunds, etc involve states' meeting on a monthly basis. Disbursement of ecological fund does not require any meeting; that was why it was easy for Jonathan to refuse to pay some states and cheated them by that action...

Among the South West Governors, they are the closest, in spite of being in different political parties. On several occasions, Aregbesola had publicly praised Fayose, and Fayose had also praised and aligned with Aregbesola publicly.

Also, by extension, Fayose likes and respects Tinubu, and Aregbesola is Tinubu's boy. So it all adds up.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan: Stella Oduah Hates Me Up Till Today For Sacking Her As Aviation Minist by DTaj: 11:43am On Apr 27, 2017
VULCAN:
I completely agree with every point you made now I'm interested in hearing your evaluation of Buhari and his govt.
Vulcan, thank you for your mature response to my post. Now, to Buhari and his government:

1. I believe that Buhari is very honest, and is NOT corrupt.
2. I believe that Buhari has the interest of Nigeria at heart and he truly wishes (and works hard) to make life more meaningful for Nigerians (especially for the masses of our people).
3. His work on anti-corruption has kick-started a silent revolution- a revolution of whistle-blowing and public knowledge that "no one can steal anyhow again".
4. His fight against insurgency/BH in the North-East has been decisive, open, and honest (no stealing of funds for arms and ammunition).

However, I have the following reservations about Buhari and his government; and I will be as honest and harsh as I was with the assessment of the clueless and completely useless government Goodluck Jonathan ran as President:

1. Buhari is extremely slow in taking decisions! No government, anywhere that I know in the world, would not make appointments to fill critical vacancies in government until almost half of its tenure! Buhari left so many people that were appointed by the previous government, who do not know anything about the plan of his party, who do not even know a thing about the ideology of his government, who had been used to "share the money"! How could his government make progress? A significant number of them are still there. I am told that in spite of recent plethora of appointments, 85% of appointees made by Jonathan in very critical agencies, are still holding those positions!

Also, it took him 6 months after being sworn-in to appoint Ministers! The country was treated to a merry-go-round comedy of Senate screening of nominated Ministers.

2. Buhari's global view appears limited and he also appears to trust only those who he knew when he was much younger, or those with whom he worked at PTF, etc, as evident in many appointments going to the North-East region (but note that he is from the North-West, not even the North-East). National Security Adviser, Chief of Staff to the President, Secretary to the Federal Government- SGF- (until he was suspended recently), Chief of Army Staff, are ALL from the North-East region.

3. He is also suffering from his background as a soldier. I think that sore points like Nnamdi Kanu, Niger Delta militancy, etc could have been handled with some diplomacy. Yar'Adua was not a fool to have established the Niger Delta Amnesty Program.

4. On the economy, he appointed a so-called Economic Adviser who sits in the office of the Vice President!

How often does he meet this so-called Adviser who is not visible at all? One Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu, someone better known as a diplomat!

This is his brief profile: educated at the Universities of South Africa, Cambridge, Oxford, and the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife; seasoned career diplomat; joined the United Nations (UN) in 2005 after a successful career in the Nigerian Foreign Service; immediate past role was as Director of the Capacity Development Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA); was also previously the Coordinator of the African Trade Policy Centre at the UNECA; and also served in the Nigerian Presidency, the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations in Geneva, and in the Nigerian diplomatic missions in Pretoria, South Africa; Addis Ababa; Ethiopia, and Caracas, Venezuela.

How could this man be our President's Chief Economic Adviser? He would do better as Adviser on Foreign Affairs, etc.

5. Finally, his party, APC, is NOT political party.

That party did not discuss how to share positions before they went for elections! Did they not know that they could win? How could you go to war without post-war strategies? What a grave error that had turned out to be! It has been ceaseless in-fighting all-through.

As terrible as PDP was, matters between the Executive and the National Assembly were always amicably resolved. There was no single "fight" between David Mark and Jonathan.

One sees how members of the House of Reps, the Senate, Local Government Chairmen, etc, from the same APC insult the President in the media almost everyday...We never saw any PDP member publicly insult and denigrate OBJ, Yar'Adua, or Jonathan through their tenures. Sometimes, when I listen to some APC members insult the President and his appointed officials, I wonder if they were really APC members. That party was merely formed to win the 2015 general elections and nothing more. Pathetic!
