The most clueless, incompetent, directionless President Nigeria has ever had! Only the lame, timid, docile, and daft will blame his situation on others, let alone external forces. Jonathan, truth be told, was/is a gentleman, but he was too timid and daft to have been the President of the country with the highest population of blacks in the world, Nigeria. Jonathan, at best, should have been a Local Government Chairman. His gait, mien, manner of speech, body language, etc was never Presidential! I remember when, during a state visit abroad, his wife, the cantankerous Patience Jonathan, exited the airplane before him (the meek, docile Jonathan stayed behind his wife even as President on an official visit!) and she started shaking hands with dignitaries, with Jonathan behind her like a lost fowl. That faux pas alone was enough to show Jonathan as a weakling. I had friends who worked in the Presidency during Jonathan's reign; who were die-hard PDP members. They told me that Jonathan was a vegetable as far as the Villa was concerned; they said that Patience Jonathan was the real President! And Obasanjo confirmed that same assertion in his public letter to Jonathan! He was a laissez-faire leader who allowed everyone a free reign to do anything. No scruples, no checks and balances, no inhibitions, no caution whatsoever... Cry anyone a bucket-full of tears, you dug your own pit, President Goodluck Jonathan. Investors are a very distant consideration because regular corporate governance practice expects that if owners/investors/shareholders were diligent with their oversight role on Management and the Board of Directors, the bank should not be in distress in the first place. However, if you look at some of the pictures again, some of them look like Hausa; another picture had a male dead body and near to his body were many onions spilled on the ground, with a prayer kettle. Only Hausa men are known for selling onions in markets both in the North and in other parts of Nigeria where they have settled to live with the indigenes. PDP started this decamping madness just before the 2003 elections (2nd term) when it completely decimated APP (later called ANPP) which had the highest number of opposition Governors, followed by AD! In fact, PDP messed up APP to the extent that OBJ appointed their National Chairman, Alhaji Waziri, his Special Adviser on Political Affairs. That was the end of ANPP! So many ANPP Governors in the North decamped enmasse to PDP. Governors such as Isa Yuguda, Bafarawa, Dakingari, RTC. Only Yobe and Borno were spared from decamping to PDP. A lot of members of the Senate and House of Representatives also decamped to PDP. In fact, many South West members of the National Assembly decamped to PDP. People like Adeseye Ogunlewe, late Wahab Dosunmu, Musiliu Obanikoro, etc. So, karma is at work. What PDP did to other previous opposition parties, APC is now doing it to PDP also. Hence, no issues! Too many clowns in that useless Senate! Imagine stripping the President and the Minister of the roles that had been there since independence and giving the roles to the same National Assembly! Oh, so that they could corrupt the system by asking for bribes in the name of "ratification" by the National Assembly! The current National Assembly is the most disruptive in Nigeria's history. They give orders about things purely under the purview of the Executive! If they wish to join the Executive, they should scrap the National Assembly by their own accord. Corrupt clowns. Anyway, the proposed law is dead on arrival! Buhari won't sign it. Even Jonathan who was well known to be so gentle, too docile, and a bit daft, refused to sign some laws too. And they will never get the funny two-third votes of both chambers to veto the President. So, this law is pure amusement like the court of Baba Sala, Ali Baba, Basketmouth and others. |

Igali has over 80 cars in his various "auto marts" scattered across at least 4 cities in Nigeria! These 47 cars forfeited is like scratching the surface only. EFCC should extend their dragnet to his mansions in Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Yenagoa! He was a well-known thief and looter! This is the BIGGEST EVER appointment of any Nigerian in the history of international diplomacy. Close to this were two previous appointments: Chief Emeka Anyaoku's appointment as Secretary General of the Commonwealth (which is a much smaller organization), and Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari's appointment as UN Under-Secretary. Amina is from Gombe state, Anyaoku is from Anambra state, and Gambari is from Ilorin, Kwara state. Did anyone notice that religion or ethnicity DID NOT determine her appointment, but competence? If it was in Nigeria, kids on Nairaland would have gone crazy arguing needlessly about her religion(Islam) and tribe (Fulani). |
