One of the reasons Jonathan fell and failed was because he transferred his personal mien/attitude to governance. A very mild, very gentle, extremely soft President cannot successfully lead Nigeria, a country where decisiveness (without being too stubborn) and self-assurance is very critical. Jonathan failed to do these; he allowed everyone to do as they wished and people knew his personal flaws and capitalized on the flaws big time!

I ask: if Nigeria's President fails, who suffers the most? Isn't it the common people (including the clown wishing Buhari fails)?

Some of us who opposed Jona never wished that he failed. We only demanded good governance. A lousy citizen who prays that a President should fail should realize that the first casualty of any failed Government is himself and other ordinary Nigerians! A failed President will still earn his salary, perks, and allowances and his friends and family members won't eat from the garbage like the common man!

This is the most stupid, idiotic, and brainless press release I have ever seen! There was no single direct reference or quote from President-elect Buhari that suggested anything remotely linked to 'drawing the battle line with South-East and South-South'.

Those who support Jonathan should remember that their lord and master has since moved on. Whether bigots like it or not, Buhari is our President for the next four years (at least) till 2019.

Also, many Fed Govt facilities were allowed to rot without maintenance, while Jonathan refused to refund over N50 billion owed Lagos Govt for repairs of federal roads when PDP states got refunds with alacrity!

FG also frustrated the 6-lane Badagry Expressway Road project of Lagos Government, just as they frustrated Bola Tinubu's Enron Power project just as they used FERMA thugs (under Jimi Agbaje's co-godfather Ogunlewe as Minister) to fight LASTMA, etc.

The PDP FG also refused to repair the gateway road to Nigeria- the terribly bad Airport Road and prevented Lagos Govt from repairing it!

Let Lagos begin to reap the benefits of aligning with the centre in Abuja!

I have Igbo and Yoruba friends who grew up in Sabon-Gari in these northern states; they can never aspire to be local government councilor let alone get voted as Federal House of Reps members as Igbos have just done in Lagos in 2015 elections 2 weeks ago!

Can Igbos try this nonsense talk about 'Lagos is no man's land' in the North? Can Igbos ever claim ‘Kaduna is no man’s land’, despite its very cosmopolitan status like Lagos?

I don't blame them- I blame Tinubu for opening up Lagos to them! When you sart appointing an Igbo man as Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, why won't his brothers start dragging ownership of the state with original owners?

This entitlement mentality from our Igbo brothers and sisters is becoming irritating. Can a Yoruba man have this huge leverage in any state in the South-East? I know a lot of Yoruba people who grew up in Onitsha and Aba. Some of them have only visited their Yoruba states twice in their lifetimes (some as old as 50-60 years ); yet they are 2nd-class citizens in those Igbo cities! Yet, Igbos come to Yoruba land and poke their noses at their host communities.
PDP is playing with fire just for political expediency. No one knows when this fire that is raging will stop! I hope PDP will not cry foul when this fire they have started catches up with them in any of the states they control in the South-West in the future! This is in context with the stupid comments from Obanikoro (a Lagos Island man) and Ogunlewe, who also insulted the Oba of Lagos!

Aside the issue of 'where the money is' politics we play in Nigeria, it also shows that Jonathan is a very naïve politician!

Fayose pledged loyalty to Buhari. Pa Edwin Clark pledges loyalty to Buhari. Papa Joseph Anenih pledged loyalty to Buhari. 4 PDP Deputy Governors have defected to APC- Benue, Ondo, Plateau, and Jigawa! And so many politicians have left for APC. People like Olusola Oke, PDP governorship candidate in 2012 elections and former National Legal Adviser of PDP, General Airehvbare, PDP Edo governorship candidate in 2012 elections against Oshiomhole.
