I need to ask you a few questions. Do you have a yahoo chat ID, gtalk or skype that you wan chat with?

You guys have got to be kidding 

* 1 out of the 4 links on the "home"/"intro" page is dead. (That is the "Youth Empowerment" button) ?? QA/QC (zero) ??
* What's the use of this "intro" page anyway? Some dude wants to be god? Who's this guy? 
* If the "intro"/"home" page is that important how come nothing points back to it on other pages once you leave?
* Dirty codes. Whatever happened to external JS and CSS?
* No favicon (year check: 2011)

So, think about this: The only part of that site that was really done by hand (the intro/home) has an unprofessional error on it. How can't a design team spot 1 dead link in a page that has only 4 links in total?
Imagine if the entire site was done unaided by CMS. . .Credits to Wordpress afterall. (I take God name beg you, don't bring up the argument that I called wordpress a CMS . . . my small brain thinks it is so lemme  ).

Sorry guys, i'm not a designer but nothing close to wow about that site. Please easy on site hypes I just wasted bandwidth in eager expectation of something wow. The site dey okay o and I won't have brought all of these up if I was just passing. Na just the exaggerated hype make me talk.

Pastors, ask yourselves. . .  if Jesus (your boss, as claimed) had a website what will it look like?

Then the guy bringing the man's political background into this. . . why you just wan cause war hia?

He wants to accept recharge card from people nationwide as a payment method. . . how does his generating vouchers form part of the solution?

If he generates his own vouchers to use on his site people still have to pay him to get those vouchers. . . that takes us back to the first problem.

I think GSM providers should look into setting up a gateway to accept recharge cards as a payment method.

Simple System
GLO, MTN etc creates a Merchant section on their site.
Merchant logs in and can verify the worth of a voucher by entering its code.
Merchant can add the value of the card to his online account
Merchant can withdraw to any bank account at any time.

If only MTN/GLO etc had an API

So what really happened?

Is that HP Model L1940T? If yes, clean it up and post a picture of it. Need to see its physical condition. What's your location and you never stated the working conditions of these devices.

This may help.

Have a field in the 'members' table called 'online'.
On successful login, update 'online' to yes.

On logout set 'online' to no.

To get all users online you select all from members where online = yes.


So what if the freak didn't log out properly?
Erm . . . go back to that 'members' table and add a timestamp field called 'last_activity' and set its default to current timestamp on update.

Add the following to a file you include in every page in your script
If logged in session isset
Update 'online' to yes . . . this automatically updates the last_activity field to current date and time.


Write a cron that runs at specified intervals and check all members that are online but have not been active in the last 30 minutes and sets their online status to no.

Query to get that is:
select * from members where online = 'yes' and  last_active < DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),INTERVAL 30 MINUTE)

OR this other query may just do it better than the select statement. . .
update members set online = 'no' where online = 'yes' and  last_active < DATE_SUB(CURDATE(),INTERVAL 30 MINUTE)


This should work but there's got to be something more performance effective out there. This is what I can think of now.

Export your MS SQL DB to MySQL.

If you want both of them mirrored, write a batch code on your PC to export your MS SQL to MySQL at specified intervals . . . if its mission critical, you'd need more than specified intervals to keep both DBs mirrored.

If you want it mirrored in reverse (from MySQL to MS SQL) you'd need to write a cron at specified intervals.

All this is just my thoughts, never tested. Hope it helps.

They can get a dedicated server and virtualise it into VPSes to share the load. A VPS and a dedi server both give you root access to the server. You can have many VPSes on one dedicated server, you can have many VPSes on one VPS, you can't have dedicated servers on a VPS. There are a couple of virtualisation technologies, I only have full working knowledge of one - OpenVZ for linux and that shoud be suitable for you PC Guru. If you want a windows VPS you need a XEN or KVM VPS, I dunno how those work but u need to mount an ISO image to install your win OS.
