The delay in passport issuance is dependent on the traffic experienced by the passport office where you did your capturing plus they prioritise people regarded as VIPs first no matter the queue. I'll expect that a place like portharcourt will have a lot of people coming for passport as well as VIPs constantly taking up the scarce booklets hence the delay you are experiencing.
I heard that Zamfara has the least traffic and you could get your passport there in 3 days but who will risk his/her life because of passport?

Thanks for this reply I was warned to avoid doing it in PH but I get coconut head I no dey hear word.
When I went there the crowd at the PH office was something else but somehow somehow I conquered thinking I was sharp now see me lol.
All the same I have learnt my lesson next time I will do it in Bayelsa or some other state around. I'm hopeful maybe next week I'll get the text from the other guys testimony if not I'll go to the office and see what I can do.

Just add 10 weeks to the normal 6 weeks, cos I eventually got my passport exactly 16 weeks after capturing.

So judging by your result I should be expecting mine next week 16th November 2021 since I did my capture 13 days after you did yours.

Print your receipt and the form you filled.

take those to the passport office

Go with your Nin as well you will submit photocopy of it

when you get there you will be asked to write a letter they should have letter format there that others have written you'll just write the same letter but add your name and address and sign and date then you'll staple them together and submit it all

If you have an old expired international passport go with it as well

If this is your first passport they may ask you for a referee or something like that I can't remember now but it's basically someone with an international passport all they need is the photocopy persons passport data page

And then local government identification and birth certificate or affidavit if it is your first passport.

I was supposed to collect my passport on 22 - 7 - 2021

That is 22nd of July 2021 and it is now 12 NOVEMBER 2021 and still nothing at all from immigration.

My passport collection slip is with me here and it said collection date 22/7/21 was when I was supposed to collect the passport.

I paid online using Netpost or payarena there is a bank charge of about 1,500 or 2k
It's very easy to do just fill in your card details and pay.

Imagine that Festac office is now issuing August.

is Festac faster than other passport issuing offices?

I captured in August but in Port Harcourt, I still haven't gotten a text I went there last month the lady o meet laughed and told me to come back when I get a text

But I'm tired of waiting and this is JUST step 1 infact step 0 because I didn't expect it to take time or money but apparently I was wrong.

You don't HAVE TO but I would advice you to apply for new one

6 months is the mark
I.e visa valid for under 6 months they may not give you visa
But since yours is above 6 months they will likely give you

But immediately you get to where ever we want to go, you will need to apply there for Nigerian passport in some countries it's even more difficult to get the passport than here in naija, in some others you'll have to come back to naija to renew it so for me oh better safe than sorry just renew it at once that's what I did too
