Fuel Scarcity Conundrum: Mistakes of Yesteryears -
1.Saudi Arabia with a population of 26m has 16 functional refineries, to commission another 2 of 400,000 barrel each per day capacity in 2016
2. The U.S State of California alone has 26, Texas has 19 refineries
3. Whereas Singapore with a population of 5.6million people has 3 refineries with combine refining capacity 1.3m bp/d;
4. Nigeria has 3 or 4 (non functional refineries) built in the 70s & early 80s...now obsolete...16 years of oil boom we didn't add even ONE.
5. We did not invest in our downstream sector, but handed out importation licenses to cronies & acolytes. Today we are paying the price
6. We are paying the price of our past profligacy, irresponsibility in governance and blind leadership.
8. For instance, Egbin power plant was valued at $1.2 billion. A German electricity company bidded but GEJ sold it to Sahara Energy at $470m.
9. Sahara had no previous records on power plant aside importation of petrol but we handed them our LARGEST thermal plant..
10. Easier to cry today but whatever problems we see today was created yesterday with the active connivance of all of us...
11. Active connivance in the sense that we all kept quiet & looked away... Our day just dey break?
12. I am not exonerating the FG of blame, but laying the facts as they are... While you have the right to be angry, pls be angry with sense.
13. Change will come but it will not come overnight... A lot of mess was made either out of omission or commission, change will take a while
14. I am laying these facts out and I challenge anybody with contrary facts to bring it.
15. I am doing this because I feel the pain and agony we are going thru and I feel the collective hurt but we must understand why we are here.
16. I pray that the present FG will have the courage and conviction to right so many of the ills of the past. Our future depends on it.
17. May Nigeria be great again & may our collective suffering spur us to a greater sense of true nationhood. Nigeria shall rise again!!!
God bless us!
Your head dey there..

so I've been online esp on nairaland reading people's comments on how PMB is the worst and blah blah... can't you think of it in a different way.... when you build a house with a weak foundation and want to fix it. you have to bring the whole thing down and start afresh... maybe this is the case in our country... things are bad now for a better future.. please let's all be a little more patient and have faith. better times will come. God bless you, God bless Nigeria and God bless our President.

What are you saying? How on earth will someone apply for a school without finding out details about it?

I am from edo state too & that doesn't change the price of garri...

And for God sake edo state House of assembly signed a bill to establish a University of science & technology for the state not a private shit.

Its even written Boldly in the school website & other platforms "The Edo University, lyamo is a world class University, set up by the Edo State Government to cater for the educational needs of her teeming populace who are willing to pay for quality education." So How do you want us to know that it's even above 500k?

For your information most of the staffs didn't even know about the school fees structure..

Abi you think say na everybody Papa get money like your Own?

Guy Relax!
so whats the difference between what I wrote and yourshuh

Cld u enlighten us more on d public-private partnership cos d op said it's owned by d state govt otherwise, stop acting insensitive
Did he make enquiries from people before coming here to post that it was a State University..huh He didn't..

There was a thread on this school here on Nairaland where the OP raised issues on Adams and this school... The location of the school been political et al., I am not from Edo State.. But the person did raise concerning issues... I was opportuned to ask someone who stays amd works in the education system in that State since I was of the opinion that it was a Government School.. But instead I was made to understand that was how it was going to be operated. Did the OP try to embark on findings? Hell no...

Look at State Universities like Osun State University... Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye... How much do they pay... Fine the one of Iyamo is quite expensive but why come here to complain when he already said he was going abroad to study.... And as a new school so many things will have to be put in place with the students school fees....

Even if you complain from now to next year people will continue to enrol in that university..

Look before you take a leap....
Education › Re: Edo University Iyamo School Fees Will Shock You (photo) by duduade(m): 8:09am On Apr 09, 2016
The school is 70% private and 30% state...

What do you mean by waste of time...? Look nobody is forcing you.. You can go school in Ghana after all it's also "abroad".....

If you think you are going to receive sympathy from here you better wake up...

Or Berra still write Jamb again and get a very hard score and proceed with your post-jamb....

Buy a decryptor diskette, and plug it into the phone memory via the USB port. You would see "decrypt mode" enable? Tap yes. Then gently insert the phone into an electric kettle and wait for it to discharge electronic currents in and out of the cyclonic membrance. After that, insert the pattern that's on your own phone, and wait for 5 minutes.

Whatever she does with her phone and whatever messages she's receiving will reflect on your own phone.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

my friend that earns $3600 per month i mention on nairaland one certain time actually studied zoology BSC Applied Parasitology and Entomology MSC. He started with apprentice at CARTER CENTRE then to Entomology and Parasitology lab in one govt agency to HELEN KELLER INTERNATIONAL AND finally an American NGO where he earns in dollars here in Nigeria. He is eyeing WHO.

I read the same Zoology and MSC in Applied Entomology and Parasitology. Phd in view in molecular Entomology and i also eye WHO.i HAVE A well paid GOOD JOB in govt agency.
YOU must put GOD first in anything you do. ME and my homeboy aint what we are today on our strength but God made it so.

lots of my friends and school mate that studied courses like microbiology, biochemistry, medlab science etc are jobless. so the course you studied would not guarantee your success in that course but GOD.
Please pm me o... At least we could be fellow colleagues and be friends....

Thank you o I was so tired to reply but you did all the talking.

To the Op, I am surprised your sister had an msc in parasitology and she s where she is... Didn't she have a supervisor? Didn't she have friends while running her program? Colleagues...? Networkinghuh?

Parasitology is wide.. Involves some messy practicals. So many areas to dwell in. You need to have a mentor sha. Package yourself.... And be surrounded with colleagues who have the same mindset like you.......

My BSc was in Zoology, my Msc was in Parasitology and to God be the Glory I will be defending my Doctoral Degree in Parasitology in a few months time.

To think when I was writing Jamb years ago I was dying so hard to get into a university to study medicine but I was offered zoology. I remember trying to switch courses in my 300L but it didnt work... I guess since I couldn't get admitted into medicine and God forbid would I have settled for Basic Medical Science I decided to pursue the health part of Zoology and since then there has been no turning back...

I am proud to be a Zoologist..
I am proud to be a Public Health Parasitology..

I rest my case....
