Thanks for the headsup Ibime. So Sharon lives in Manchester too? no wonder him head hot like Rooney own. where he dey sef? I hope he hasn't gone and gotten banned again. I wouldn't mind meeting up with him at some point (if you hear that 2 black men were arrested for affray in Manchester yu should know its me and Sharon takin it outside NL ), I'm making arrangements with some friends to start playing 5 a side at that sports place near trafford center and still getting to grips with the area.. debosky:You're right about this sha, ![]() If we wanted to bring a new experienced keeper in it should have been at the start of the last season, and even Arsene wanted to (Schwarzer and then shockingly Reina) but bringing him in now would be a bit like buying an older version of Wilshere (like Diego) and pushing the boy down the pecking order, I think it would send the wrong message. Tech9 and Fabianski both showed they can handle the pressure last season, they only stand to gain expereince as they play more, how many PL clubs will take them on loan and play them? |
Who is following this program? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2015875/Bryan-Robson-caught-dodgy-deals-sting.html watching it on Channel 4 I hope this is the beginning of another controversy that will sweep many of this Manure parapo people in English football away as the hacking scandal has swept the rug under Murdoch's feet. ![]() now where is coogar to come and bite me? ![]() but seriously meen, English football needs a sanity check, its downright rotten. |
Ibime:Just checked actually, they are not too high brow areas but they are far from my place of work jare, remember though, we don't earn as much up North as you people down south o, if yu're earning 30k here, yu'll likely be between 35 and 37 down south and you get enof to spend it on as well . Up north we dey try achieve greatness like Arsene but e be like say you people in the south had greatness thrust upon you like Arab money? I'll consider your advice sha, I've got only a 6 month lease but I'm sure I'll be too lazy to move by then. Shey na Didsbury dey near Manchester Uni abi na the other one? I still dey try manage Salford Uni babes here but I'll go with the flow sha. |
debosky:Debo what do you mean, moving from one bench to the other isn't a sign of progress now, Given must have been given guarantees that he would play at Villa, something we can no longer give him with the promise both Szczesny and Fabianski showed last season. Abeg that is money well saved jare. Tech9 twitted something today that seems to suggest he might not be the number one as he is taking the number 13 shirt, don't know what that means sha, the boy has never done usual things. On Campbell, I don't think we'll miss out on that, I got a translation of what the baba said yesterday and he didn't mention any other bid, that seems to be a fabrication of the press, I think the delay has more to do with the fact that the boy is off to the U20 camp so couldn't sign immediately but there is an agreement in principle as announced by the club, infact the club president says if anything fails it would have to do with rules, work permits e.t.c. It seems the club has chopped and cleaned their mouths already. Rumors are rife that he is undergoing a medical in costa rica as we speak, seems he'll go from there back to their U20 camp, we'll need a special talent visa but he should get one cos he has more appearances at a younger age for Costa Rica than Hernandez had for Mexico when he joined, not sure how the country weighting will affect that though but touch wood, he'll be wearing our jersey next season. |
Ibime:Chei see alakoba o, Naija people and our elitist wahala sha. Me wey be illegal alien make I go dey stay for where moneybags dey? why yu sef nor dey go live for chelsea for london? Abeg na where head put person, person dey stay o. Person wey dey stay Warrington sef dey claim manchester. ![]() I like my Salford jare, close to work so I can cycle or stroll to the office jeje. Infact na Salford surburb I dey sef nor be inner o. ![]() |
chamotex:Na there I dey o, I don follow kolitos advice comot for bushy preston, come dey manage the babes for Salford ![]() If you see me for OT wetin you go do? ![]() In the immortal words of the "now hairy" Shrek, I'll put you to sleep in 12 seconds if you show face to tackle me when I come to piss for OT. ![]() |
v3:Ehya, mama's boy is going back to the motherland, another Reyes bites the dust. ![]() |
chamotex:damn Chamo, too much spite doth make thee mad. The koko of the matter is "pace in wide positions" ![]() |
@Slimyem Quite an interesting offer, I'd like to think that I meet your stated requirements, though like justwise rightly pointed out yu can never really be sure about these things, that unfortunately is the conundrum that a technologically driven world has saddled all of us with. Now I'll try to play the game of deduction as I'm quite the Sherlock Holmes, feel free to correct where I'm mistaken 1. The Yem at the back of your name suggests yu're yoruba, I'll go on a limb and say its a shortened form of Opeyemi 2. I came to conclusion 1 cos yu concatenated it with Slim and you did describe yourself with the words slim, chic and cute 3. You have a pretty healthy self image (some might consider it an inflated ego) now I'd ask you to answer the following questions as a starting point 1. Why exactly are you bored and what are you bored with? life? work? relationship? e.t.c. (Please feel free not to answer this) 2. What topics do yu like to talk about? (so I can get out dem encyclopaedias ) |
Any views on this Campbell boy? seems its a done deal as even Sky is reporting something in the pipeline and most people seem pleased with it and I've only heard good things about his performances in the Copa. Pace in the wide positions seems all sorted now and significant strength in depth, the arsenal of old might just be back. Now can we sort out the defence? |
Maybe with a few good men like Cruyff, its not too late for Barcelona, it was always a club that prided itself in doing things properly and were usually oppressed by Real Madrid's financial muscle and success in the past. Success really turns people's heads. |
coogar:Mumu, and he was allowed to go for free? ![]() abi you were the one chartered to drive him to the airport? ![]() coogar:Kindly remind us how Paul Pogba came to Manure again? was he donated to you by Le Havre? ![]() abi is this not what their president said about your club? Manchester United lured Paul Pogba from Le Havre with the promise of £15,500-a-month when he turns 17 next year - and payments of more than £85,000 each to the French teenager's separated parents, according to the Ligue 2 side's president.I know you're too pig headed to understand the adage that those who live in glass houses do not throw stones, Nuff said. |
coogar:Stop spreading lies, how can it be stealing when the laws of the UK allow him to sign players at 16? besides the players can sign pre-contracts even before 17, hence the reason we were ordered to pay about 2.5m for Merida cos he never told Arsenal he had a pre-contract with Barca when we signed him up.Besides, didn't Old red nose also sign Gerard Pique who you paid nothing for and later sold back to Barca for 5m and Paul Pogba using the same difference in laws between the UK and the continent that you call a loop hole? Abi there is one law for Arsene and another for other managers? ![]() |
@ahonoai Just saw that banner as well but you left out the concluding part of the statement. The Banner read: Barca pay 40m take Cesc away or go home to self-service. ![]() The world is really a global village. Theo didn't do himself any favours towards getting his preferred central role with all his misses today. I'm happy for Vela and I hope he finally gets his chance this season. Let us not overanalyze this set piece issue, its a pre-season match afterall and we've only shipped a goal so far. |
ritchboy:Wetin do am with eastenders? has he gotten so frustrated with the spuds that he preffers to go and play for West Ham in the championship? ![]() |
Dem wahala just start, they will soon make bringing Cesc back to Catalunya an election agenda. ![]() Just imagine the pressure that has always been on the boy, and someone will come and tell me he doesn't love Arsenal? ![]() |
proudly9ja:I'm not sure that is a weakening jare, Clichy's concentration lapses we beginning to become the stuff of legend. Gibbs has that composure about him, he just needs the game time to prove it.Still on the Malaysia XI match: Now when was the last time Arshavin beat his full back to the byline hey? relearning a few tricks from Ryo or what? couldn't resist jibing at Arshavin a bit but he looks like he is ready for a fight this season long may that continue cos it is sad to see everyone crying over Nasri's contract when everyone's former favorite player is also winding down his contract and no one gives a damn. 3 attacking players with a year to go on their contract (Nasri, Arshavin and Rosicky) and a need to play their hearts out either for new contracts or to get new suitors when their contracts end. I hope it translates into trophies sha if they can all play like Flamini did when winding down his contract. If the Assassin needs any further motivation, its just a single name "Gervinho". I wouldn't worry too much about Chamakh's no show, I can trust him enough to raise his game when its needed as he showed at the beginning of last season. Besides his hold up play was still commendable and he helped retain the ball in the dangerous areas of the final third. What the hell has Emmanuel Frimpong been eating? Wouldn't say much about our CBs, but I expect Kos to be even better this season and he would be in my first choice CB pairing, JD has always had suspect concentration levels and I'll pick concentration above physicality any day, you can slate Kos for looking a bit skinny like me but he is yet to be embarrased by any CF in the PL a good number of who embarrased our previous Giant, the unfortunate Senderos.Lest I forget, I totally support Dr. Kits assertion that the most important part of the team that needs strenghtening is being looked after, with the amount of possesion we usually have, we need to be putting teams away and killing their spirit before they start bursting their guts to score those last minute set piece equalizers and winners. It is not by mistake that we conceeded the least number of goals from open play. |
proudly9ja:There is nothing more wrong with Denny than the simple fact that he has come to the conclusion that he has no future at Arsenal and has stopped trying, it is true that he might not be the best suited for a DM position but I've never believed in that excuse, I will aways point to Jack Wilshere and how quickly he has adapted despite playing more advanced wide and central roles as a youngster, atimes its just about the heart and spirit you bring to the game. To be honest, I wonder who has molested Denny more between the fans and Stoke he blocked off his twitter account a long time ago (even before Darron Gibson) after abuse from Arsenal fans. I feel sorry for him and Arsene is a bit culpable cos he threw a lot of the players in that generation in at the deep end but I still think its Denny's personal failings that he couldn't stay afloat. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. He is not the first to have felt the ire of fans, it is the measure of a man to rise above adversity as Eboue and Theo continue to show. |
Jencejyde:Yoruba's say 'ododo oro', I stop to dey talk am when some people wan give me name wey I nor get. but you sef get eyes to watch football. The boy has come a long way though, na the season before last worse pass, as much as I trust Arsene's identification of talent I almost questioned him on Theo. He still has to get that kick and rush mentality out of his head sha, but I watched our first match against Barca again recently and he was immense atimes in that match and with that pace will always be dangerous, at least people like Agbonlahor made a career without much technical ability? abi kini mo wi? |
Is Dennilson really finished ? he looks to have gone from bad to worse , consequently, the substitute has been re-substituted .
The boy has simply given up, he never lacked for talent na bottle he nor get. |
I hear Jenkinson is doing well, unfortunately won't be home till after 7 but will catch it on ESPN at 7:30pm. |
^^^ Infact yu're saying the same thing in the same language, yu're only using different words. ![]() |
A lot of ignorance being spewed on here and it shows most people do not really have true love in their lives. 1. You don't need to have children to be happy or else all the impotent and barren people would be swimming in the atlantic. 2. Its got to do with probabilities and not set in stone that two people with AS genotypes will give birth to SS offsprings. 3. The medical profession advances daily and new treatments are being developed. 4. There are other genetic defects in individuals that might not be immediately apparent and is not testable like Genotypes but with the potential to be even more debilitating. Who knows if that AA person yu're going to marry carries such a defective gene? ![]() Atimes in trying to solve one problem, we human beings create even greater problems, it is sad to see what most people are advocating here, it might not actually even be in the best interest of humanity to eradicate the sickle cell mutation and I think it is totally wrong to rule out a future with someone you're compatible with in a lot of other ways solely on the basis of a manageable health condition, and yes I know an SS person who lived to 55, can anyone remind me what life expectancy is in Nigeria? ![]() Yes, those who marry under these circumstances have potentially heavy burdens to carry and shouldn't go into it lightly only to chicken out later but this blanket ban while sounding reasonable is way off the mark. |
slimshay:Mesef siddon dey look dey expect DK's take on the matter, I expect a change of tune now that Arsene has done it. ![]() To be honest, mesef nor dey for all this grandstanding, except Arsene knows something we don't. I believe its being practical to take the money if indeed anything near 20m is being offered. If he walks for free come next season, I'll be thoroughly pissed particularly if he strolls through the season. Mesef go curse am if he ever returns to the emirates. |
debosky:That is the conundrum, Cesc will not go to any club apart from Barcelona. If he opened up to other offers, someone would have bought him since last season. Madrid would buy him just to get one over Barcelona IMO. |
Krayola:You sure say nor be Toner savings you dey count so? ![]() |
coogar:Like you revisited it when he didn't leave last season? ![]() |
Krayola:And na your useless club nor be the worst agbaya of all? na by force to buy player? your silly people are even knocking the boy's confidence just because, you are managing coloured toner in your yeye club. The boy loves Arsenal he is just unfortunate enough to come from Catalunya and that is what your people are preying on, as if its only in Barcelona he can win trophies. ![]() Did you ever hear that RM valued him at 50m? Cesc is never gonna dump Arsenal I can assure you, the truth is the only club he is willing to go to is Barcelona and it is quite understandable why he does but he will ensure that Arsenal gets fair value for his move you can count on that, so go and tell that Roseline of a man to pay up or STFU your arm twisting tactics didn't work last season so why do you think they will work this season? ![]() |
Ibime, I did say I would take Georgino in our first team as Diaby's understudy and a possible starter if we weren't so stacked in the middle already(I hope yu recall that Diaby has also played as a left winger for Arsenal in the past). Georgino is a very good prospect even more advanced than Ryo in his developmental curve IMO, the type of player easily worth 15 - 20m within the next 2 - 3 years barring injuries, definitely within the Ramsey/Wilshere bracket cos to score 10 goals from Midfield in any top level league is a sign of quality and his performance against PSV was remarkable. Crazy, that wiki page is saying that they've already reached an agreement with PSV to sell him for 5m, it is really a bad thing when clubs get into financial problems and start selling players, that boy will be worth a lot more than that pretty soon. TBH, I didn't start following Feyenoord until Ryo went there cos I try to follow all our players on loan, but during their resurgence after flirting seriously with relegation until Ryo came, Wijnaldum played only centrally and Biseswar was wide right. It might be that Georgino has finally found his best position centrally, I doubt he made as great an impact as Ryo did out wide. |
edoyad:Abi o, and I'm not sure it matters but about 2 of the 10 or so goals he scored were also penalties won by Ryo. Not to mention headers from corners and balls into the box, there is no better proof of how well the boy played than the way in which the fans warmed to him, they are the ones who follow that team just as we follow arsenal and know those players who messed up and those who really played well. When people start carrying the picture of an 18 year old loanee and his country's flag into the stadium you know the boy left more than an impression jare. |
@Ibime Wijnaldum is a CM and not a winger, the right winger is Biseswar. TBH I wouldn't mind Wijnaldum in our first team, he would be the perfect backup/competition to Diaby that I believe we need and I wouldn't actually put it past Arsene to pull that one out of the hat sometime, he is a typical Arsene signing who is unheralded by the english media and those who only follow the media hyped players but does well. And you sold Ryo a bit short, he practically turned Feyenoord's season around even though it might be stretching it a bit to say he did it single handedly but to go from high school football to having such impact in a pro club is a mark of remarkable talent and character which is widely perceived to be currently lacking at the emirates. |
@proudly That is some good news, I've always liked Wellington, he has an X factor, I rated him above Ryo from the onset as they both came at the same time and I do believe he is even more explosive and with an higher upper limit than Wilshere. I'm happy for him he is getting a season's loan in the La Liga, he has now been given his opportunity and I expect him to take it this season. You heard it from me first, that boy is gonna be some player. I hope Levante take Bothelo as well cos Arsene is obviously focused on Gibbs and Traore for this season, he needs the top flight experience and I hope he gets it at Levante. |
