Evil Brain:This sounds like one of those textbook hypothesis that never work in real life or at their best work for an extremely limited set of people(with more than a few screws loose) but don't work for everybody and can even become counter productive. Most drunks get all the reinforcement they need (either positive or negative) from alcohol or why on earth do you think they keep going back for more despite the following hangover? ![]() Do you also think its that easy to turn emotions on/off like a switch or when did human feelings become digital switches? and why on earth should anyone become emotionless just because someone supposed to be an adult abdicates his responsibility, do you really think that is good for her mental health or don't you know that repressed emotions usually find their expression in other even more sickening ways? If this woman for example takes your advice and ends up sleeping with her own son because she is trying some cock and bull reinforcement technique with some silly husband won't you turn around and blame her? ![]() |
Can I ask exactly why packing out is not an option? seems some people were born to suffer sha. ![]() I'm sure Mrs Wigwe once said packing out wasn't an option as well, now she wants the man in jail. What happened to the old adage about a stitch in time saving nine? I tire for my people o. SMH. |
In the midst of superflous abundance some people do hunger while in the midst of intense drought, some folk do exceedingly prosper. All we can do as humans is to strive to manifest the latter and not the former and hope that god/favour/luck/time and chance favour us. Whichever of them you choose to believe in. None of them offer any iron clad guarantees and that is why I find life interesting. ![]() |
debosky:Maybe when the transfer window officially opens, its now an open secret. The season didn't end too badly, at the least we also got to see some long Manure faces, you only claim some cock and bull mentality myth when you are yet to meet your masters. ![]() |
Abegi jare it was the classy thing to do! If we didn't nuccas would say we where classless and who knows maybe that singular act would get Barca to pay 40million GBP for Cesc
good point but you are making us look like beggars. ![]() Arsenal does not beg anybody, we only spend within our means. ![]() |
Dr. Kit, when did you start sleepin with the enemy? ![]() they might be stuck up pricks but I'd rather Barca win the UCL over manure anytime. That Ricardo Alvarez guy might just be a brilliant signing, heard he's been immense in the Argentine league in the immediate past season, but moving from argentina to the PL no be moi-moi but then Chicharito did make the transition from mexican league to PL very quickly sha. Good physical statistics too at 6ft 2, seems we're starting to pay attention to the physical side of the game in our choice of players again. The 2 transfers with really solid rumors we've been linked to so far are of players in the 6 ft plus range. |
@follypimpi Turns out I missed Wellington's 30 mins cameo on saturday in the final game of the season for Levante after waiting for him to play for them every week since he joined them in January. Here is a youtube clip of it. You can see he has quality, I particularly like his seeming ability to protect the ball and run with it while still picking his passes, also a bit of a hot head as well and will likely get his share of cards but we need more of such players really. Like I said to A-40, he is an interesting prospect, had adaptation issues at Levante but such is to be expected of an 18 year old who thought he would be going to London from Brazil only to end up on loan at Levante in Spain, must have had language issues as well (although that didnt seem to deter Miyaichi impressing at Feyenoord). [flash=500,300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvLMXimv3Qg[/flash] We won't likely see him for the next 5 years though, except he is so exceptional and plays himself into the Brazillian first team and earns a work permit, which wouldn't be a bad thing and wouldn't surprise me at all cos the boy has the quality. |
I don't mind the club being nice but our players shouldn't be so nice. All our youngsters out on loan should go to clubs like Bolton. |
Update on ownership: The Arsenal fanshare scheme is reported to have rejected the offer to buy their shares by Kroenke with a majority of 95.3%. Of course I voted NO. Usmanov is also not selling and is currently buying up minority shareholders and offering as much as 14,000 per share to other minority holders so buying from them rather than them selling to Kroenke or the fanshare scheme. My fear now is what if Kroenke decides to sell out to Usmanov at 14,000+ per share after all the highest he paid for any share is 11,750, that could net him a cool 74m+ GBP profit with minimum stress. On the flip side, if this all ends in a stalemate of some sort, Arsenal can have a steady stream of capital injection into the club by creating more equity for the fanshare to buy if there are no floating shares any longer on the market, then everyone can have their wish of getting money to buy players without needing to sell out to some big daddy. |
dayokanu:Ogaro oshi, you think say na everybody dey worship Jesus by "pajawiri" like you when dem club nor win trophy? very soon you go start to dey worship Buddha by your second trophyless year. ![]() |
babe, you can become anything you choose to become. People even do sex changes these days yu know. ![]() |
But then I never said Wellington would be Walcott's immediate replacement, only that he could grow into the role and be better at it if he has the opportunity. Even at the height of my berating Theo last season (and he did have a shocking season) I always pointed out that there must be things Arsene see in him to stick with him. If yu've not forgotten I recall even pointing out that he might just not be suitable to the style we play or be affected by his injuries. He still has to do better than he did this season in terms of efficiency and overall team play if we're to finally get to the gooner Utopia. |
All u Wellington boys Theo Walcott is still awaiting your apology letter especially u Dudu
early days A-40, the boy is still 18, I didn't make a call on Theo until 21 and he still has his question marks even at 22. Wellington has moved to a whole new environment and finds himself on loan in Spain when he thought he would be in England, I doubt he even speaks the language. give the boy 2 more years and lets see how he develops. that should give him enof time to iron out his seemingly attitude issues, the ability is definitely there and I hope it comes out. He looked a better prospect than Miyaichi initially but it seems the tables have turned. Pray, does anyone know where Slimshady and Muki are off to? they haven't posted on here for a while. |
StarBoard:So yu're eagerly expecting, panting like the subject of Pavlov's experiment for some chunks of meat. You call yourself starboard, when exactly did you become starstruck? ![]() |
follypimpi:Of all those, the only one who has any right to be pissed at being let down this season is Nasri, but I'm almost certain Nasri will sign (if he hasn't already), Cesc might want to go to Barcelona but he was never forced to sign a long term contract with us when he did, if we don't get a good enough offer I say we keep him, we've shown Barca we won't be bullied and they've since kept quiet, his value might have dipped slightly with his performance this season but I still don't think we should sell him less than 40m. If we get anything near that then getting at least one of Turan and Hazard is a must. I'll be sad to see Clichy go, he is dedicated to the club but sadly, maybe he has to move on. If he goes though I can assure you it has nothing to do with him wanting to go, it would actually be because the club decided to sell him. Gibbs is not yet the complete answer though, he still has a lot to prove so if Clichy does go, an established replacement will be brought in. I foresaw Bendtner leaving last season after we bought Chamakh but like most of my predictions, its coming a season late, funny enof now that he wants to leave I don't really want to see him go, he has actually been good from the subs bench this season, his stats are not bad at all for the number of appearances he had, and he was willing to play out of position and still gave his best without complaints. If his attitude had always been this matured I don't think he would have all the problems most fans have with him. follypimpi:Galindo had an ankle injury for about 2/3 of the season while Wellington is being weaned off pizza in Levante and is not getting a look into the first team. both are still far off 1st team material and can't be gambled on next season particularly if people like Arshavin are fumbling, there is little room to manouever now, this drought has to end. |
dipo2much:But he believes he is a winner. ![]() I think he needs some defensive drilling from Jencejyde. |
At the least, we can thank god that common sense prevailed in the end over Wilshere's participation in the U21s, its nice to see that much talked about GPS fatigue system finally yielding some dividends even if the figures were manipulated by the club. ![]() They would have just wrecked the boy for the start of next season. |
@Debo and Proudly I think its too early to say Vela's career is over at arsenal, seems he is one of those that Arsene intends to keep. Would still like to see him get a decent run in a team somewhere as despite helping kickstart West Brom's season by scoring in 2 consecutive matches he still got dropped from the first 11 same as with Arsenal when he scored some goals at the start of the season and still somehow got put on the bench. I think he deserves 1 more loan attempt, maybe a full season loan with a manager who actually wants him, it shows how highly he was rated that Coyle wanted him ahead of Sturridge but he was more interested in money and went to WBA instead only for Di Matteo to be sacked even before he could start playing. Maybe he also needs a visit to Bar Beach as Dr. Kit would recommend. |
StarBoard:Yup, and you're still having one joint too many with Towelie. ![]() |
coogar:Not surprised, your ramblings are always off topic, does anything in this jumble of words back up your assertion that Morrison is better than Wilshere? you've travelled over the continent and almost mentioned a full team of players but Morrison is still not as good as Wilshere. ![]() coogar:Natural talents alone doth not a player make, the right mentality and dedication to your craft is critical. Pray for him first that he doesn't go to jail tomorrow during his assault charge hearing. I don't wish the boy evil but at this point in time he isnt as good as Wilshere and he needs to get his head screwed on right. Keane is good and also focussed. |
@Dudu You have started again! Need I remind u we finished 4th! If Tottenham had a decent striker we woulda been planning trips to OB Odense by now I still don't know where u get your hope from when its clear to all and Sundry that Arsene is at his wits end. You would do well to worry less about Man U and come up with suggestions to rescue this sinking ship that is Arsenal. Or are u waiting till we hit rock bottom
@A-40 You know I'm an eternal optimist jare, I'm permitted to be sentimental when it comes to Arsenal. I'm not worried about Manure, its these scumtwats who can't even be gracious in victory who won't let me be. As to our lads, Arsene will definitely be active in the market, he has been let down by some older heads he trusted this season, for once he went against his own rule and actually prioritised age and experience over youthful promise this season but even that didn't work. The good thing is that we now know who the dead wood are, no hiding places any more. It is time for Arsene to bring out the stats he showed people like Paddy before selling them and show them to some people like Arshavin. Of course we won't really buy big, that much is clear we should however be able to get good money for some of these guys leaving which we can reinvest in some quality players. |
coogar:Ol'boy go back to yur rehab jare. I'm not a coward like you to go into hiding and then come and start sounding tough at the end of the season. What concerns me with your credibility? you can hang it around your neck and go cool off in the thames.coogar:See your loose lips open wide like an NNPC pipe cracked open by John Togo's boys, so Morrison won FA youth cup and yu're now celebrating? were you not the loud mouth making little of it when our boys did the double at that level? damaged goods is being fought over between the U21 and senior team to go and represent England? Come back and compare Morrison with Wilshere when Morrison wins any personal laurels jare. I'm sure he is not even the best player in that Manure youth setup, I would take Will Keane over him any day but you don't even know the better players in your youth setup. |
dayokanu:Not really, but considering the resources at your disposal to the rest of the competition in that shyte league not winning the league should be an exception to the norm and not making top 2 is a disaster of epic proportions. |
dayokanu:The same Dortmund that has not won anything for 9 years? that has not been in the UCL for the past 7 years. stop comparing Paqman at his peak to an aged Muhammad Ali who can prolly be knocked out at this point in time by my 3 year old nephew jare. your club fumbled big time and you shld cover your eyes in shame. |
dayokanu:Yes, if Dortmund could overtake you underachievers despite their debt problems, then anything is possible. ![]() |
chamotex:Get out of that time warp yu're stuck in, that was last season. I've not commented on Manure U18 or Arsenal U18s this season cos the arsenal team this season wasn't good enough, we should have another good crop next season and they'll prolly do another double. ![]() Congratulations to them but its about time Pogba and co did it anyway, a good number of that Manure team are in their 2nd/3rd year at this level. I hope you realise that both Wilshere and Frimpong were still eligible to play in this competition but had already won it 2 years ago ![]() |
Hahahaha Dudu u no tell me say u wan bet nau I for chop your bar and I no go even look your face! How do u bet on a team when the manager says its OK to finish 2nd hehe look how we ended up
Me sef don almost tire to dey bet jare, my sister in law don chop my money 2 years running on top this Manure thing I just dey use "ara ile" runs to keep my creditor at bay But surely that manure team is losing quality and will definitely be overtaken by us at some point, its only the timing I missed out on. |
chamotex:If you nor dey shame to chop for house, how I go shame to come Arsenal thread? ![]() Will I be the first person to lose a bet? I recall Dr. Kit giving them a hard time on Barca thread that we would beat them but I think the Barca guys get class pass this Scumtwats ![]() Person congratulate dem sef dem nor gree, anyway I take my congratulations back except from tkb417? we will beat y'all black and silly next season just wait and see. If only the cowards even had the chest to take up the bet sef? mscheewww ![]() |
debosky:Definitely, that is why I mentioned adding money and buying either Willian or Gervinho, I like JET but he has to prove himself first. |
dayokanu:Carry your lamentation to your thread jare, must you take out your frustrations at being trophyless on me? ![]() I have my own frustrations and can't carry yours. ![]() |
