The level of unemployment and illiteracy in this country is staggering. Did you people read the topic at all? Nobody is paying marketers any subsidy again because the NNPC is bearing the loss for the increase in landing cost. The price of oil has been steadily increasing since November. So the landing cost has definitely increased.
Why you people are screaming Buhari and APC baffles me. Our refineries just started producing optimally 2 months ago. Even if they are producing at 100% capacity we will still need to import because the refineries only produce 30% of what we need at optimal capacity.
When Dangotes refinery berths in 2018/2019 we will have all the petrol we need. So everybody should just take a chill pill and relax. There is nothing else the FG can do but wait and take a hit for us by incurring losses through the NNPC at least till 2018/2019.

I totally agree with the PDP people, though I hate the PDP on principle. Godwin Emefiele has failed in his job. Nigeria is not the only oil producing country undergoing oil price shock, but Nigeria is the only one that has totally mismanaged it. Terrible monetary policies by the CBN have contributed to this. With all the tampering and fiddling the CBN has been doing with domiciliary accounts to the ban on First bank, UBA and other tier 1 banks from the forex market which resulted in a massive depreciation of the naira against the dollar. Emefiele has been terrible at his job.
I think Buhari has been told to leave him on because the central bank position is not one you fiddle with else you lose investor confidence, like it happened in South Africa.

Why would any sit tight african ruler want to accept asylum in Nigeria? Nigeria of all places! What makes those dishonorable house of reps think Jameh will want to resettle in Nigeria? The governor of the state is committing very scarce state resources to build a Secretariat for this motor part tout association. What more do you expect the head of the association to do than to sing his praises and say something that will please Fayose's ears more than anything else - Criticize the APC. It is worthy of note that Fayose is also building a state secretariat for the Pdp using Ekiti State money, when salaries have not been paid for months. This is the kind of governor that the very "learned" people of Nairaland are praising? This court jester? This motor park tout?

The issue with the Buharis now is that the proper channel for sponsoring the first lady's trips, which is the State house, is neglecting to do this because President Bubari has stopped it. There is nothing illegal about it but for reasons best known to Buhari, he doesn't want his first lady to travel on the expenses of the State house. It is very proper for the foreign mission to make reservations on behalf of the state house. There is nothing wrong there. When Michelle Obama travels to far flung places of the world the American embassy makes reservations on behalf of the white house.

Anybody who had any business with Abuja during the tenure of Obasanjo will know El-rufai. The man loves competent people, people that can do the job. He always surrounds himself with technocrats. If you open the link and read (which I doubt you can do), the expiration of the Amnesty program was already decided long before Buhari even won the election. Buhari, in his inaugural address, only repeated what Kingsley Kuku once said, that the amnesty would end in 2015!!! What part of that doesn't this slowpoke fxjohn understand! Buhari never said he would terminate the Amnesty program!! The amnesty program was already going to be terminated in December 2015 even if Jonathan won the election! That's what Buhari mentioned in his inaugural speech!!!

This was what Buhari said about the Amnesty program. The program was already slated to end in December 2015 according to Jonathan's deal with the Ex militants. The only thing Buhari mentioned in that speech was an already existing expiry date, he said nothing about its termination or elongation. No where in the speech did he say he would terminate the Amnesty program.

No where did they quote Buhari as saying he would end the deal.

When the bombings resumed early 2016, he promised to deal with the MILITANTS (emphasis mine) responsible for the bombings the same way the Army was dealing with Boko haram in the North.
