portside:Oga please who would you believe: nairalander who says Jonathan bought stealth ships and fighter drones, or Jonathan's Chief of defence staff himself, the man responsible for procuring everything military related that said the last time new weapons were bought for the Army was in 2006. And That the Airforce was using 1980's era Alpha jets. Please who would you believe? |
Rrankdonga:Pele, I understand your plight. Common sense is obviously not common. I pray God blesses you with some in another life. My condolences. |
tonyzaks:This link alone has totally destroyed the salt and essence of this thread. Jonathan's chief of Defence staff himself saying Jonathan bought rubbish for the military. Wailers please open the link and enlighten yourselves. Or you guys want to tell me you know more than Jonathan's chief of defence staff? |
Bizibi:Please where is the report or news article. Post it here. |
Iamthoney:Common sense and simple logic! One guy was president for 6years and lost almost half the country to Boko haram. Another guy came in and in less than a year, regained the lost territory with millions now returning home. Common sense will tell you that there was definitely something wrong with the guy that spent 6 years dashing Nigerian territory to boko haram. Common sense please! |
erico2k2:OK since you're so versed in the world of google and the internet, please provide links and online articles showing where sovereign countries (not rebel groups) bought weapons with raw cash in private planes from other countries. |
dadabashua1:When you can't even spell defamation. Doubt if you even know what it means. Very typical of Jonathan supporters ![]() |
comshots:Oga reread your post and see if its sensible. The military under Jonathan was just unprofessional, incompetent and corrupt. Jonathan and his NSA hired the private plane of the Presidents pastor to ferry cash, raw cash into another country under the pretext of buying weapons. Who does that? How many soverign countries have you heard of doing that? That is pure and simple money laundering. Not buying any weapons! Let's try to be reasonable for once, please! |
dadabashua1:Thought as much. Paid agent of disinformation. Coming here to spew thrash with absolutely no evidence I should report you to the mods. |
dadabashua1:Please where's the link to the dubious article? Or it only exists in your imagination? Or you're just about to sit down and write one? |
dadabashua1:Where's your dubious interview? Please provide a link so I can comprehend |
dadabashua1:You feel sorry for a man whose wife was able to accumulate more than USD15 million from doing nothing! Have you been to yenagoa before? I have and after I saw the opulence and grace of the aridolf hotel in Yenagoa and that massive estate beside it, I stopped feeling sorry for poor old Jonathan. Now I feel sorry for people like you that feel sorry for him. Really sorry for you. |
rapistomenka:Oga with all your stealth ships and fighter drones, boko haram controlled 3 states and was even moving down south. In less than a year after Buhari came, WE routed (emphasis on WE) boko haram back to the fringes of the Sahara from where thy now launch sporadic attacks. It is on record that Jonathan's service chiefs bought knocked down and cannibalised alpha jets for our Airforce, without Parts! One of them even crashed in Adamawa and killed our soldiers. Stop defending the indefencible. You're not even making sense. If we had weapons, how and why was boko haram controlling 3 states in the north and even heading south? Jonathan obviously approved the purchase of weapons for the Military but because of his laxity and weakness, he had absolutely no idea what they bought. Amosun, Badeh, ola Ibrahim and the rest bought a few weapons and Stole the remaining money, more than 90% of it. That's why the EFCC is on their tail today. |
DDeliverer:Every good thing in life comes with a little bit of sacrifice. The Israelites in the old testament really loathed moses after he took them out of Egypt and into the wilderness. What he did was absolutely right but they were in the desert and had no water. It was understandable for them to despice him. But if only they had seen the bigger picture and had the benefit of foresight, they would have known that something spectacular was in the offing. Nigeria was and is still in a mess right now. With all the cleansing, fine tuning and recovering that is going on now, our place in the promised land is very much assured. Its just a matter of time. |
Nigeria is in a serious dilemma. The variables affecting pump price are just too distant and unpredictable. If the price of oil goes up, our earnings from crude sale is supposed to go up to but those idiots in the delta, blowing up pipelines won't let it be. Then the IOC's that are supposed to sell more dollars to the marketers have less dollars to sell. The our forex regime is another variable. The higher the value of the dollar, the more expensive it is to import. These problems we're facing are relics from the past. The past managers of this country really failed us. |
Chibuking81:Hmm. You put okomu as number 1? Okomu that is trading close to its one year high? You wan put our new oga inside gbese. |
nwaanambra1:Thrash! Compete and utter thrash! Don't even know what to say to you gutter people with gutter sensibilities and gutter morality, supporting FFK. I'm sure out of Nairaland, you're rogues and criminals like your mentor, FFK. Heck you may even be beneficiaries of FFK's largess. This back and fort with you is hopeless. A pig will always remain a pig. I'll leave you and your morality in the gutter where you belong. Same goes to all your fellow FFK supporters. |
Pavarottii:I'm very pissed and irritated now because from today, I'm going to associate the name of the legendary composer Luciano Pavarotti with the stupidity and foolishness of this fellow on Nairaland. Its really saddening. |
Pavarottii:Your case is definitely hopeless. I won't indulge you with any form of reply. Continue soaking garri with N20 groundnut and coming online with your 100mb per month plan to defend a man that stole billions from you. Your "wisdom" will set you free. |
Pavarottii:These are the "intelligent" supporters that FFK is amassing online. |
nwaanambra1:Like I said on another thread, most of the people that come on NL to scream persecution or "witch hunt" are illiterates or just ignorant people. Magu is not fulani. He is from borno state. Same as Abba kyari and Buratai. Stop spreading lies to prove your point. Its annoying. In fact I feel like slapping you right now. Secondly, did you just suggest that I should be supporting FFK in his supossed "struggle" against the state? How much did he give me from the N4.2 billion he stole? How much did he give you? Are you ok at all? You better wisen up and receive sense. FFK is not your friend! He stole money that belongs to you. He is not fighting any imaginary war against any Fulanis. He stole money!!!! He is a thief! Ole! |
yeyeboi:See if you quote me again I will slap that yeye nature from your destiny. |
PFRB:You tried to make sense but ended up talking trash. Even without going into law, common sense will tell you that they first have to investigate exactly why he collected the N26 million, whether it was with criminal intent. After they've established that a criminal activity has occured, they can amend the charges. That is exactly what the press release by the EFCC said. I'm sure he was invited to explain it and he turned down their invitation. That was why he ran to the media last week to allege that he was about to be arrested. If the EFCC invites you and you refuse to oblige them, they arrest you. Those of us that know the law know how criminals and rogues like FFK operate. See how you succeeded in getting likes and confusing people without making an iota of sense! |
yeyeboi:I saw your moniker and laughed. These are the foolish and yeye supporters ffk has. Not surprised at all. |
porozhniy:I have repeated the same thing to you and you keep asking the same thing. What kind of policy direction do you want again? I've explained the refinery thing to you. I forgot to even add that buhari in 18 months did what Jonathan didn't have the balls to do in 6 years. Nigeria was bleeding financially because of the corrupt fuel subsidy scheme. The corruption in the subsidy scheme even got worse under Jonathan. We got rid if petrol subsidy because we had a president who had the balls to say enough is enough. I pay crazy to fill my tank every week. Sometimes I even try to manage my fuel and restrict my movements so I end up spending less than N5000 a week. But its better than spending the whole day on a queue. Is that not an economic policy? Or the budget support facility initiated by the Finance ministry where the states get a stimulus package from the FG if they meet certain fiscal conditions, improve on their budgeting and generate more revenues for themselves. Or the reforms in the FIRS that has been augmenting Federal revenues since the dip in oil prices. Don't just argue for the sake of arguing. Its very irritating. Don't be an enemy of progress and more importantly try to be on the right side of history. Nigeria is moving forward whether you people (for whatsoever reason) like it or not. Your link didn't open. |
Honestly I will slap anyone that comes here to spew thrash about Fani kayode being persecuted by Buhari. I will seriously slap the taste out of your mouth. If you have nothing sensible to say just read the post and leave the thread. The idiot Fani Kayode that was using our money, N4.2billion to fûck fresh IBO gals did not give any of you a penny from the loot. It is crass foolishness and stupidity to come online and defend that thief with your 200mb per month data plan. |
porozhniy:No need to strong arm anyone. Dangote is building a refinery in LAGOS that can cater to the demand of the entire west Africa. That should end this refinery discussion. To say nothing has changed with the rice situation is being disingenuous and annoying. Nigeria currently produces more than 3million metric tonnes of rice. Demand is 5 million. We import the shortfall. We will surpass this demand and may even become a net exporter of rice in the coming months if we have a good harvest season. I hate having any kind of argument or discussion with close minded people who will still remain dogmatic even after you present them with evidence to the contrary. Plus I have absolutely no idea why people wish things get worse in Nigeria and attack anyone that tries to make things better. At the same time you see them here praising those bastards that plundered the country and got us to the situation we're in. Are you people cursed? |
porozhniy:Even though I totally disagree (with proof) with some of the points you've raised, I'm happy because you're at least offering an intelligent critique unlike the other fools that just come here and scream buhari. Saying we're not doing anything about refining crude locally is false. At some point this year, before the bombings began in the Niger delta, we were doing around 60% capacity utilization and producing about 10million litres per day in January. www.google.com.ng/amp/www.premiumtimesng.com/business/196250-nigerian-refineries-now-produce-6-7-million-litres-of-petrol-daily-nnpc.html/amp?client=ms-android-tecno. Demand for petrol in Nigeria is more than 30 million litres per day. Even if our refineries are producing at optimum capacity, we won't meet local demand. Hence the need to augment with imports. Now we obviously need more refining capacity inorder to reduce our dependence on imports. The government will not and should not build more refineries because the government cannot manage them as we have seen with the ones we currently have. What we can do is encourage private corporations to build. We have taken the right step towards this by deregulating and allowing the market control prices so that private refiners will nit sell at government prices. When dangote refinery and others come on stream very soon, Nigeria will noy only have enough petroleume products for itself, we will also feed the rest of west Africa. I'm not sure you've been following the rice revolution in the north and some southern states. With the CBN assisted anchor borrowers scheme, plenty small holder farmers have access to credit to improve on their yield per hectare and get better returns from their produce. The 2015 budget was indeed pegged at USD 38 per barrel at a projected production of 2.2 million barrels per day. Even though the price of oil has hovered above this for most of the year, we have not been producing more than 1.5 million barrels for most of the year because of those fools in the delta blowing up pipelines. Do the maths. There's an obvious shortfall and a deficit to be filled. I'm not here to hold brief for buhari or anyone. I'm also a victim of this "change". I'm also buying food at crazy prices. The difference is that I know what the problems are and I know exactly who is responsible. I know who the idiot is that came to LAGOS and gave money from our reserves to Obas for a stupid campaign. I know the idiot that told the national assembly he wanted to use USD2.2 billion to fight a war and ended up sharing the money to his party brothers, money that we desperately need now! We all know that idiot. Let's put the blame for our problems where we should put it. |
Bizibi:Now its codedly? You guys are full of thrash. If you have nothing to say its best to keep shut. Stop infecting others with wrong information and ignorance. Please. |
sweerychick:Bloody lies. I just had to highlight the most obvious lie. Most of the people bashing buhari here are illiterates or people who have completely closed minds. People who cannot understand the issues Nigeria is going through now even if you open their heads and hammer it in with a nail and hammer. I know you can't read but you can get someone nearby to open this link for you and read it out to you slowly. https://www.google.com.ng/amp/www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/rice-imports-remain-banned-land-borders-customs/amp/ |

they cant touch fayose cause he has immunity - so they went for the second guy without immunity or cover! but unfortunately for them, the second guy covered his tracks very well and they cant find anything to use and mess him up - that's why they kept on searching, arresting and re-arresting the poor guy!
