Another question, How is job opportunities like in those cities like someone who is not in healthcare sector but in business administration sector?
I actually thought you had a job offer already. What type of job?
For surrey, you can work in London and also the surrounding areas. London is London. I am not sure about Warwick.

Warwick is not up North it’s in the West Midlands.
Thank you, true but it is relative to the other two.

Surrey and Warwickshire will be much better. There’s nothing wrong with Camden Town only that it’s London and London is very expensive so you wouldn’t get value for money. Surrey is equally expensive but you get good value for money.
I would say Warwick - Guildford - Camden. The reasons are as stated above. Guildford is about 37mins by train to London so you can easily get to London for whatever. Trains are frequent too. Warwick is up North so naturally cheaper.

Remember you are dealing with China not one liberal democracies with some checks and balances. Whatever China wants China gets through tactical means. There is no court, civil society, opposition that can stop China communist party.
China wants more than those railways and that is why they crafted an agreement that enables them to grab any asset other than military and diplomatic assets.
Make no mistake, China is a rugged as Nigeria in a cunning way, the difference is they are intelligent and strategic.
Of what use is the loan sef? The majority of the money is still going back to China. They used their contractors, raw materials and manpower and yet we are owning them. It could have made sense if we collected the money and used Nigerian contractors, raw materials and manpower to do the job. It could have helped the economy.
When you are doing something with someone where you don't have any leverage, you have to be careful. Right now, Nigeria does not have any leverage against China so they are at the mercy of China.
That is what our leaders have failed to see and have allowed. Of what use is it developing infrastructure when there will be no employment for our people and little or no skills transfer. That's why I prefer the loans to have been taken from other countries like Japan, Germany, South Korea etc. even at a higher interest rate. The only good thing is that the Nigerian Government does not get the cash but who's to know that the contracts are not inflated?

what if the same govt use it to divert the earnings by under estimating nko, hmm Naija govt no dey ever dey straight forward, just saying sha grin.
I know a lot of us do not trust our government, but Nigeria has some of the best and intellectual minds in the world. If we want to truely do something well, we are very capable of doing it. Some of our leaders may be corrupt but corruption has it's limits and I do not see any leader who will be bold enough to sell the country although this government seems to be edging close to that.
I am surprised no one is talking about the recent deal to get $1.5B in advance from Vitol and another company in exchange for 30k barrels of oil per day for 5 years. That is a deal that I do not think favours the country. It comes to about $27 per barrel which looks like a very bad deal

and you think they would go for something like that.

Those people are not dumb like Nigerian politicians, those Chinkos would rather go for something that might be overlooked by us now but in the long run it would hold us by our balls.

They would think and analyse before picking, unlike Nigeria politicians that doesn't think.
I was responding to someone that suggested they will take over NNPC or our oil wells.

Assets outside nigeria...I hope u know that's our foreign reserve u talking about.
There's everything wrong with that contract. It's a careless contract written n agreed by dumb leaders.
So you want to borrow and run away? If your credit rating is low, the lender is duty bound to request for a collateral except if they are mad or do not expect a repayment. Okonjo Iweala knows better hence why she approved it. Commercial lawyers also have not faulted the premise of that agreement.

bro that's just your thinking, China has the power to choose for themselves, the clause exempted the Army, that alone is huge to know they can choose their gold, na Dia e get k leg.
Let's assume they choose a gold mine in Zamfara (The value of the deposit has to be commensurate with the loan, which makes it unlikely that they can take over the mine because the mine will be worth more). The FG can enact a law that mandates foreign mining companies to pay a say 90% tax on all the value of gold mined.
PoliticsRe: Agbakoba, Quakers Differ On China Loan ‘Sovereignty Clause’ by dustydee: 9:27am On Aug 06, 2020
In Nigeria, you can cause any controversy because majority of the people do not read and only go by the headline. Nigeria is a sovereign state and the waiver in the contract was only to guarantee that the debtor will get paid, which is normal. For those talking about oil wells and mining sites being taken over, that will be foolish on the Chinese part because the Nigerian government can render those assets useless if they are taken over by simply passing laws (Tax, operational etc.) that will inhibit them from getting full value from those assets. The Chinese are more likely to go after assets outside the country if we default.

Hello, Everyone.

I would like to join a #revolutionnow protest . Does anyone know any of the organisers? Pump price of fuel is now 150 naira. i m now afraid to check moneyfex exchange rate.

Is this life? This is not life chaa chaa
My problem with the protesters is that they do not seem to understand the issues. I saw placards protesting about fuel price and VAT when they should be protesting against corruption and for better welfare for the citizens. Why focus on the exchange rate when if we are a productive nation and with low unemployment, the exchange rate won't be an issue in the first place. I have even heard some compare our exchange rate to that of other African countries which shouldn't really be the case. The government should have deregulated the prices of petrol from day one and they keep missing the opportunity to do so. If they have shown signs of trying to do that now, they should be commended.
TravelRe: I Want To Change My Surname, Will It Affect Me In Any Way (travel Wise) by dustydee: 12:44pm On Aug 05, 2020
dayoige:
Real quick!
I have a uncle in the UK who is a citizen and he assured me that if I can change my surname to his, he will fly me over to the UK.

I'm a 300L student studying economics here in Nigeria, and my name is .... ( This is the name I have in all my documents) and the surname my uncle want me to change to is 'Richard' so after changing my name it will look like this "Dayo Richard".

I want to apply for a change of name (to address the surname)

After doing the change of name I want to also apply for my National Identification Registration with (NIMC) which definitely I will have to do a new Birth Certificate with my new name.

Now my problem is this :
Will the change of surname affect my travelling documents if I want to apply for a visa, since the surname I have on my academic documents is different from my new surname?

What do you think I can do to balance everything?

Thanks
Which type of visa requires you to change your name to his? In my opinion, none. If he is applying for you to come as his son, still it is not a require plus you have to be under 18 years old for him to be able to do that.
Also, when filling the form, there is a section that asks if you have ever been known by another name. In this case you still have to state your name you changed.

In that show you’ll see all kinds of body types and all sizes and types of d*cks and vaginas. Some with tattoos and piercings and what not. People from different cities in Germany, people in their 20s to old people in their 60s. They are very open about nudity in Germany. Yes, some Black people participate as well.

Sometimes they have couples looking for another couple for a sex date and it’s the same procedure. It is for gay, straight, bisexual people. Everyone has their own segment on the show. You’ll see the way they analyze people’s private part and be like: “I don’t like her vagina, it looks rough, I don’t like his d*ck, it is too small and hairy.....” and the camera will zoom in on it.

Well, it is what it is. I heard there’s a UK version of that show but I’ve never seen it. There are other shows like this as well. It is an open culture and nudity is normal.
There is indeed a UK version. But they show the mid section (Chest/breast) as well. I believe the show didn't last beyond a series and a half and most of the relationships didn't last.

Ever since then i have always been there for her despite even having a low budget as student because I'm not from a wealthy home, even her parents has times10 more than my family. But despite that i try all i could to maintain my role in the relationship because i don't fancy myself asking anything from my girlfriend.

If we complain that things are bad and no jobs in our country, how do you explain those that are outside the country and still scamming people instead of getting a job? And trust me there are way poorer people than those guys that are not into scamming. If they can afford data subscription then they are better off than the numerous poor people who have little or nothing. We all can be pushed to the wall to do what we ought not to but most of these scams revolve around greed else they will stop immediately they get what they can use to start a small business.

Please can you stop referring to your country with derogatory terms? It does not speak well of you.
He can always scan and send his certificates to the school.

Good day everyone I've been busy on this section trying to find opinion of experts here.

I'm 200 level students in Nigeria and I was given the course I don't even want,my family and I are discussing whether I should study abroad or not.

I'm really confused because if I've to leave nigeria, I'll first of all withdraw from the school here before writing another exam to study.

I need your opinions please
There are online courses from reputable universities that you can take after which you can go for your masters. This I believe is cheaper but you can also go for the in-person option. Generally, I believe finishing your current degree will not be a waste except if you feel what you are currently studying is a far cry from what you want else you can always further and specialise in what you want.
