Bro I understand very well.

When I heard the news of the amount of health workers that died in Italy. I automatically said if na Naija doctors go follow do isolation oh.

Try to eat ginger and garlic day and night to boost your immunity and don't forget to sleep with bitter cola in the night.

And before I forget also rub ori on your palms and in your nose it's acts as a barrier and disinfectant it works better than hand sanitizer.

Stay sefe bro.

And let's all ask our family back in naija to stay safe and avoid misinformation and confusion
Please what is ori?
Regarding Garlic and ginger, I believe the Chinese eat it more than most other races yet they were not immune from the virus. I doubt it can prevent this virus.

The doctor that asked you to get a referral was right. Ideally everybody should get tested but due to the limited testing facilities and materials, it is only right that only those who have symptoms or been in contact with confirmed cases should be tested.

I think we need to realise that the nature of our work means that we would most like get infected with it at some point. We hope that our immunity is strong enough to beat the virus without showing any obvious symptoms. There are some of us who belive that this Covid19 virus has been circulating within the population for months, it's only being discovered now because they are testing for it.
May God be with you all.
RomanceRe: My Boss' Girlfriend Is In Love With Me by dustydee: 11:09pm On Mar 21, 2020

My story might be lengthy with a lot of grammatical blunders.. But my elders Abeg help me just manage read am and advice me because am really confused..

I have a boss who actually loves me. He likes me like a son and he always wants me to go out with him. We are actually very close pal.

There was a day he went out with his girklfriend. I was at home when my phone rang. He told me to bring 3k to where he was with his girlfriend. When I got there he told me to sit down and drink and eat dog meat with them. But I don't eat dog so I only drank one bottle. The lady and I later talked and I left them.

She came to our place this Wednesday. I was inside my room, she was just insisting that she wanted to see me. When I got there, she was just telling me my boss drinks a lot which is quite true but he dosent misbehave. That it is too much. As a guy man I covered up for my boss. And I left her and my boss.

Today we went to her shop. My boss ordered for drink for us. We started drinking. Later I went out, she followed me. We sat together and started talking. She started telling me that If she actually saw me first she would have dated me that she loves me that she doesn't like my boss. I was quite shocked and told her that since she is already dating my boss it is not possible. Then my boss and one of my other colleague with a lady came out and joined us. That was how we started gisting again. I had an important call to pick so I later entered her shop because the outside was noisy. That was how this lady came inside and kissed me. I was really shocked I have to run outside.

My boss and I later left her place for a burial where a friend of his (a lady) invited us to a burial. When I got there this lady started saying she really likes me that she wish she meet me earlier that she would have dated me.. That she really likes me a lot. My boss now jokingly asked me that I want to take all his girls from him. Mind you that my boss girlfriend calls me her husband even people close to her shop call me her husband.. And these ladies are way older than Me..

Please all I need from you guys is advice on what to do cause am confused.

There is also a married lady too that told me she wished she met me earlier that she would have dated me. And other older beautiful ladies. In their early and middle thirties and am just 23.
Tell her you are gay.

It happened at ATM point (GTconnect) but i want to go to the nearest branch tomorrow but before i go i am trying to seek knowledge on how to go about it. I should have solid claims because he used the ATM to withdraw moment before he transfer to me. And i used the ATM too.
ATMs have CCTV, it is a requirement. If the bank say that the camera was not working, tell them you will have to report this to the CBN. It is a mandatory for all ATMs to have functioning CCTVs.

If you have not gotten it, you can reach me for that.

However, I strongly advise that you give more attention to your self-
development and skill acquisition even as you fight for your Canada or UK visa.
Don't give in to depression because of your inability to relocate now.

You can make it in Nigeria anywhere.
Very true. I recently saw lots of almajiri children roaming the street in London when they should be in school. There was also a report in the papers where 51 people were killed by unknown gunmen in their sleep in Leeds. Government workers were protesting their unpaid salaries and allowances. Agberos are everywhere in England now.

Yes, he may be Singaporean, but the target was China. This shot the British people took against this guy can be classed as an off target shot and the Singaporean was just unfortunate to receive it.
My problem is the fact that his nationality was wrongly reported.

Hello house, I'm considering applying for a UK visa. I wanted to apply for tier 2 but I'm confused as to how to go about it. I have more than 10years work experience as an accountant and auditor.. How do I start applying from Nigeria, which websites do I go to or any agency Thanks
You need a job offer and your employer will then sponsor you for the Tier 2 (General) visa. So if you can find a job and they are willing to sponsor, then you are in business. Agents are very unlikely to be able to help with tier 2 because of the employment part.

Please does NNPC pay immediately after ur first working month ends or they wait till 3-6 months like a lot of MDAs do?
At each month end. Why would an organisation pay 3-6 months later? Except if you start say 15th of the month, meaning they may have processed payfoll for that month and you have to wait till the next payroll.

I don't feel wronged nor do some people feel wronged that northerners got in. The wrong is that a northerner should not get into a place with 40% and a southerner who scored 80% denied the same place, and you openly call such a system "merit-based".

It's a fact that many northerners will not be occupying seats they are occupying today if we go by true merit.

Even your reverred and highly educated Emir Sanusi Lamido said it earlier this week that the North should not think federal character will help them in the future and they should rather be ready to compete on equal level. I opine you can't be more northern than the Emir, but he chose to speak the truth while you shy away from it with appeal to emotions of if I have superior knowledge than northerners.

I bear no grudge against northerners, because I really do pity their downtrodden. Despite the privilege they have and systems like federal character being applied to favour them, they are still the ones you find doing the crudest & dirtiest of jobs even in the south. They are the ones you find littering & begging for alms in the south.

Why not champion the application of federal character to the Super Eagles and other national teams....
You may be surprised that even if you were pitched against those from the so called "North", you may still not be among the top 25 from some of those states. The fact that Federal character was used does not mean it favours the "North". It may well be that if that criteria was not used, there may be disproportionately more people from the north employed that from the south and this will lead to acrimony.
I know the general idea is that the "North" benefits more but that does not mean there are not many smart people from there.
During my set, after FSTP, there were more people from the "South" at the bottom than from the "North". And all those sacked for forgery were from the "South". So chill, lets keep striving for a better Nigeria.

My friends from other Department have theirs, but my Dept., no one has gotten. I was told that we needed to apply to the Academic Secretary before it could be produced (which could take 3 months).
I didn't mention this, another panelist (an ABU Alumnus) defended me when I was quizzed on the certificate issue, he told the other members that at times it takes long for the certificates to be produced, citing his as an example.
To answer your question, it looks like I'm the only one from my set (Departmental level) that got it.
It should not be a problem as long as your result is genuine because they will verify your certificates/result. In my set, some poeple were sacked after they were found to have used fake result. For one of them that I kept seeing after he was fired, he was a pitiable sight to behold because he looked a shadow of himself. So nothing to worry about.

By now, most successful candidates would have realized that you don't need to know anyone to join NNPC.

I don't know of other government agency but I am sure NNPC recruitment is largely merit driven.

Congratulations once again to everyone, whether you got APL or not.

Jarus, we will await a celebration party from you once you get your APL. We full ground.

Xfire
Xfire, good to see you are still here. I remember during the last recruitment, I told the naysayers that it is possible and in my own set it was largely merit based. In fact I do not know anyone in that set that came in through connection. A colleague told me how he was teaching and did not believe in the process so refused to apply but a lady that knew him collected copies of his credentials and literally applied for him. He remained skeptical even after the interview until he got his offer letter. That has changed his life and that of his family.
Congratulations to the GTs.

Your airline should be able to provide your baggage allowance. Check your ticket conditions or check with the airline or their website. IA bag does not have to be a maximum of 23kg, it also depends on the class you are flying.

The added votes far exceeded the accredited voters count. That is the bone of contention and not how he won. The figures do not add up.
That is so because the number of accredited voters in the 388 PUs were also excluded. So if they had been added by INEC it will add it. This is not rocket science. INEC cannot exclude the votes cast in a PU and then add the number of accredited voters in that unit to the result.

Thank you Again.

Are Certificates gotten from udemy in Nigeria useful in the UK?.

I want to know because I'm already doing one and intend to do more if it's useful there.

You do the maths yourself sir:

If you know in your heart that you won’t fight with your wife when she comes here and because she doesn’t want to do all she used to do in Nigeria, then you can come under her. It’s cost efficient and very flexible.
You just sit in your house and be applying for jobs while learning one or two courses in Udemy- no pressure.

If you know you will vex and fight with your wife and consider divorce, better close your eyes and spend the money and be on your own o (luckily it’s on the shortage list) so we won’t hear stories that touch the heart.
Udemy is for personal development and the certificate is symbolic. No employer will ask to see your Udemy certificate, most don't even ask for your degree certificates. Just use to learn or sharpen your skills and state on your CV what you can do.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to settling down of new migrants here. I recently arrived at Edinburgh with tier 4 visa and have been struggling with getting accommodation and the weather isn’t nice here angry. Please I want to know which of the bank can I open with as a student and which of the network should I get that will be good to call my family in Nigeria with low tariff. @stenon, ma I have a bachelor in teacher’s education/chemistry. I am as well interested in teaching here in Scotland please where do I start from?
Your school should provide that information.
If you call Nigeria often try Vectone mobile, Lebara or Lyca mobile.

Probably some cyber security roles may not require programming skills but it helps to have basic knowledge I reckon.

My current job is mostly based of my experience in a previous role and how well I did in the technical assessment. I have only ever been offered one role where I never did a technical assessment. Not just technical questions but actually a demo project. Some companies invite you to their offices to do it with one of your potential colleagues just to see how you get on. I interviewed for IBM once and had to give a presentation in a room with Q&A. That's excluding all the various analytical assessments I did prior. Unless it's not a mid to senior level role or it's a small company desperate for engineers.
I believe this applies mostly to tech/software development roles as I said earlier. For others engineering design roles like , it will be ridiculous to ask for a presentation or project. Where do you even start from? They can only ask how you will perhaps design a system and ask you to explain by drawing or sketching.
