This is not a bad report for Nigeria. It just shows that more Nigerians have migrated to the US within the period under review. It is a way of balancing out migration from around the world.

Yohanna Shankuk, a driver to Festus Keyamo, Minister of State, Labour and Employment, is dead.

Shankuk died on Wednesday in an accident along Berger roundabout in Abuja, IDOMA VOICE reports.

The minister said the young man lost his life when he followed one way to avoid protesters around Begger.

He tweeted, “I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger roundabout, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office.”

It seems you did not comprehend what the minister said. He vehicle ran him over, he was not the one that "followed one way".

The problem with Tier 1 visa is it takes a long time to find an employer brave enough to go through the hassle. Tech Nation is serious hassle with a very low level of guaranteed success and finally T1 direct visa salary is also guaranteed to be about 20% less than market rate. To be fair that helps cover the legal cost of sorting out the visa for the company.

Haven't said that, if he can get T1 directly, then he should definitely consider it.
I thought for tier 1 you do not need a job offer and can work for any employer unlike tier 2 which is tied to a particular employer? It is also cheaper to apply than tier 2 (although the employer absorbs the tier 2 visa cost). Tier 1 will be his best route if he can get endorsement.

Maybe will just add affidavit and cover letter for peace of mind cos the bank statement is the most important document for dependant.
It does not matter since the first and last name are shown. Affidavit may even attract more scrutiny.

I used to live not too far from Chertsey. It's generally considered a highbrow area so cost of living is high. I heard then that some Chelsea footballers live around the Chertsey/Chobham area. Mclaren and Mercedes world are not too far away and it is less than an hour from London by train so location is good. I have never been to Wales so I cannot say anything about that but I am confident the cost of living is lower than Chertsey but the Standard of living MAY be better in Rhyl.

I recently went through the NRN process. It took me months but this was during the lockdown so that may be a factor.
I called their contact centre and was sent some forms to update my details (My phone number and address were not up to date). I was also sent a token request form to fill.
I paid about N2500 for the token and courier which cost about N6k.
You can download the form online and email it as indicated above.

PHIPEX:
What about the justices for North central, South East and South West? Why is everything including the National population commission all about the North?
The judges were recommended by the NJC and the only input the president has is to forward the names to the senate. Also, all regions are meant to have equal representations at the supreme court. If there is vacancy in certain regions, only people from those regions will be nominated. Also, the NPC has commissioners from every state of the country (I believe) and when some leave, they have to be replaced by people from their state, just like INEC resident commissioners. But we as a nation need to move away from looking at appointments based on ethnicity and focus on merit. This president has made it obvious that he is not interested in fairness and equality so we have a long way to go.

Even if S. Korea currency no dey strong, their government dey strong and with what their government has provided, nobody will want to leave S. Korea and come to Naija.
Haba, you too think am now: for naija no light, no road, no healthcare, no education, kidnapping, religious problem, etc
I am glad you got my point. It is not just about the exchange rate. Of all the countries listed there only a few can compare with Nigeria. 1 cedi may be N56 but 1 cedi cannot buy what N56 can buy. Therein lies the value of the money. We feel the impact of the devaluation so much because we are import dependent.
We complain about cost of electricity and Petrol but in those countries listed, it costs more for those products.

PoliticsRe: Edo: What Caused The Peaceful Outcome Of The Election & Federal Might Absence? by dustydee: 4:57pm On Sep 20, 2020
Sleevia:
From all indications, Obaseki has won this election but two things stood out unexpectedly

1. It was generally peaceful

2. There was zero federal might influence.

What do you think is the reason behind this?

I would hazard a guess and I am open to correction.

A: The U.S visa ban restricted federal influence, which Oshiomole, Ganduje and Tinubu were banking on. I was on twitter when I read that order has been given that there should be no interference in the election. This was why, after votes at the PU were done, all security agents, from Army to Police and others LEFT.

B. The Oba of Benin meeting. Before the election, Oba invited both contestants for a meeting where he specifically warned against violence in whatever form. I often read from outsiders that Oba of Benin is just like any oba out there but what majority do not know is the weight the Oba of Benin carries among his people and this election further proved that.

Since the APC took power, this is the most peaceful election we have had...

The question is WHY?

Please join the discussion and I would like to learn from other persons and correct me where you feel I am wrong.
Visa restriction? You think most of those people care about visa to the US or UK? The FGcould have instructed officer Abu and his men to do the needful and you cannot deny the President a visit to the US or UK. Officer Abu meanwhile does not even have international passport.

APC will use supreme Court to remove him .... Mark this date.

Add your own thoughts ...
Or perhaps what PDP used in Bayelsa state.
By the way what was wrong with the supreme court verdict in the case of Imo?
Uzodinma complained that his votes were unlawfully cancelled by INEC, he was able to prove his point while INEC and PDP were not able to justify the cancellation. The court had no choice than to ask INEC to restore the party's votes and the rest is history.
I don't see how that relates to what happened in Edo elections.

Seems we only have the show homes to go by and that is definitely not how ones choice will be like eventually
Just to add to what other have said:
1. You are paying a premium for that "new build" feel.
2. With the stamp duty relief, some builders have increased their prices.
3. On the issue of quality, old builds were once new builds but the owners had probably fixed some of the problems, if any, and made improvements to the house.
4. A comparable "old" house may be cheaper but probably not that much cheaper.
5. For new builds, you have 10 year structural guarantee.
6. For HTB, I believe you can remortgage after 5 years and pay off that portion. The government will take a portion of the profit (or loss) in the value of the property at that time. Remember you have to pay for the valuation of the property(I think?) at that time.
7. I have recently heard of someone who bought a new build and sold recently (less than a year) and made an extra 30k on the initial purchase value.
8. You don't have to pay off all of the HTB at a time, you can pay half of the value of the HTB and the other half later.

Obaseki trumps Ize-Iyamu 57% to 40%, emerges winner in CHANNELS TV preferred debaters’ poll

…poll result gives insight into election outcome – Osagie

Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, on Tuesday trumped candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Osagie Ize-Iyamu by well over 17 points (Obaseki 57.73%; Ize-Iyamu 40.07%), in an online poll conducted by multiple award-winning broadcasting station, CHANNELS Television in partnership with Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room.

The poll, according to the organisers, was put together to enable the general public select their preferred gubernatorial candidates that will feature in the station’s forthcoming debate programme.

Members of the public were asked to vote for the gubernatorial candidates of their choice from among the 14 listed, including Godwin Obaseki, PDP; Osagie Ize-Iyamu, APC; Jones Osagiobare YPP; Lucky Osagie Idehen, APGA; Felix Obayangbon, SDP, and nine others.

The poll which lasted over three hours, saw the APC candidate, Ize-Iyamu in an early lead, only to be trounced by Godwin Obaseki, the PDP candidate, who sustained the lead; 57.73% to 40.07%, till the poll closed.

Special Adviser to Edo State Governor on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, commenting on the poll result, noted that “it reflects Governor Obaseki’s popularity and gives insight into the outcome of September 19 poll.

Candidate of the YPP, Osagiobare, took the third position with 0.36%. From bottom, Felix Obayangbon of the SDP scored zero vote; Igbineweka Osamuede of APM scored 0.07 %; while Stevie Nash Ozono of NRM scored 0.11%.

Sorry and apologies i did read it back and it did sound confusing.

I applied in May 2020 online application. I could not then book biometrics because of Covid19 i have just been invited to do biometrics and upload docs. I had everything in plan but lost my bank statements anf cant find them. Therefore i am using the ones from online issue date is in June 2020 after the application date will that be a problem?

Also i meant as in delaying doing biometrics and sending docs through the App so we can travel and come back and complete the application? As we didnt get an email to say complete it before a particular date.

Also will it be a problem if unable to provide corrospondent letters in same month for one of the months. In 2019 i have got Jan docs for both of us but can only find Aug for partner and sept for myself no other docs will that be okay?

Sorry and thanks hope that makes sense?
You can walk into your bank today or tomorrow for a new bank statement. I believe the date of the statement is important and has a vilidity period for this purpose but I may be wrong.
Travelling should have no bearing on your application since you won't submit your passport. But if you submitted in may, that means your BRP would have expired by now (You can only apply within 28 days of expiry of the last leave ).
As for the correspondence, my opinion is that as long as it is within reasonable time apart (yours in August and hers in September), that should be acceptable proof for that period.

My bank statement and cash savings have issue date 8th June 2020 as there is no previous statement this is the latest one the last one is dated sept 2019, will this be a problem?

when i applied for first inital visa the dates were after the online application but it got accepted but this forum is telling otherwsie.

also decleration form i have signed for today 5th september do they need to be signed dated for May?

I am so lost sad

Also we are due to travel end of November is it better to delay submitting after we come back from abroad or will it be too late?

Thank you
Your story is not coherent so that will make it difficult for people to understand and help.
You submitted in May - Meaning you paid in May, right?
If you submitted in may why will you talk about delay in submission because you are travelling in November?
If you submitted in may and did not book your appointment, they must have contacted you already to book your appointment.
Bank statement can have the date of the day you request for it so what are talking about when you say the last statement date was Sept. 2019?
