Family › Dad Learns Sons Were Not His After 21 Years And He'd Been Infertile Since Birth by dustydee(op): 11:25am On Jan 07, 2019
A devoted dad has discovered the three sons he had raised for more than 20 years were not his when doctors told him he had been infertile since birth.

Now Richard Mason’s ex-wife has been ordered to pay him £250,000 to him but is allowed her to keep the identity of the real father a secret.

Devastated Mr Mason had no idea he wasn’t the boys’ biological dad until two years ago when he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

The inherited disease prevents male sufferers from fathering children naturally and DNA tests confirmed beyond doubt that he had no biological link to his eldest son, now 23, and his 19-year-old twins.

Mr Mason believes that the same man fathered all three boys during an on/off four-year affair his wife Kate, 54, embarked on in the late 1990s.

But she only confessed to the adultery in 2016, ten years on from their divorce, when he confronted her about the children’s paternity.

It is not known if Mrs Mason’s former lover is aware he is the real father.

The case, reported in the Mail on Sunday today, came to light when Mr Mason launched a legal bid to claw back some of the £4 million divorce settlement his wife received, as well as suing her for paternity fraud.

As a result, two of the boys have since broken off contact with him.

Last night, Mr Mason, 55, a co-founder of internet comparison site MoneySupermarket.com, said that discovering the boys were not his own left his life in pieces.

“You don’t know what’s real and what isn’t – it’s as if I’m living in The Matrix,” he said.

His solicitor Roger Terrell said: “We understand that it’s a legal first because there has never been a divorce financial settlement set aside in such emotive circumstances.”

Throwing more light on Childcare services.
I live close to Gatwick Airport where we have less 9ja ones. My wife had to stop her job because my job varies day, late & night shift. A friend recommended A baby sitter for me. I also saw the baby sitter on Childcare.co.uk
To cut story short, I lend her £100 b4 she start looking after my little one. She failed to pay me back and she was threatening me that she will report me to the police and sue me just because I message her friends, family about her evil act. On my town page on Facebook, I discovered she stole things from kid parents she was looking. She is a Botswana girl. I thank God that she did not look after my kid and that i only lost £100 because she said to me that i should learn not to give my little one to strangers. Am planning of having a permanent afternoon job so that my Mrs can do permanent early job because my kids will be two ✌️ soon and most nanny's over here charges over £12 after tax & N. I
You should have told her to go ahead and report to the police. That is not harassment moreover you lent her the money and have the proof so you have a strong case.
Career › Re: Just In: NNPC Staff Protest Unpaid Salaries by dustydee: 7:48am On Jan 04, 2019

Private security guards attached to the National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) and who protect oil pipelines from Lokaja to Kaduna, on Thursday staged a peaceful protest against the non-payment of 22 months’ salary arrears.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the protesting workers blocked the entrance to the NNPC Depot at Awawa, Abaji Area Council, FCT and denied members of staff, petrol tankers and visitors entry.

The security guards, who are employees of MRS Limited, carried placards bearing inscriptions such as: “Pay us our 22-months salaries, “We are not slaves” and “We will block Abuja-Lokoja Road if we are not paid.”

The spokesman of the protesting workers, Alhaji Abdullahi Kaja, lamented that when they were working directly under the NNPC, they were paid as and when due and received other benefits until MRS Limited took over.

“Other security guards doing the same work at Warri, Port Harcourt and Katsina, have been paid, but we at Lokoja-Kaduna axis have not been paid.

“When we were working directly under the NNPC, our salaries were constant and we worked under good condition.

“But when MRS Limited took over, there is no provision for even torch lights, raincoats and rain boots to enable us work properly.

“All we want is our salaries paid; as well as going back to work directly under the NNPC and not MRS Limited,” Kaja said.

He urged the government to intervene in order to resolve the dispute and forestall any breakdown of law and other.

Other protesters, Muhammed Hassan and Umar Isa, told NAN that the action had exposed them to hardship and unbearable conditions.

Hassan accused the management of MRS Limited of being insensitive to their plight, alleging that the management had turned deaf ears to their demand for payment of their salaries.

When NAN sought to speak with Alhaji Sani Mohammed, the Abaji NNPC Pumping Depot manager, he declined comments on the situation.

Mohammed said MRS Limited was responsible for the security guards and was in a better position to respond or address the media.

What makes them NNPC staff? They are not on NNPC's payroll.
NNPC should prevail on the company topay their staff or lose their contract.

Hi, you can try Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent Visa). I believe there is a stream for the arts, which your talent is but you will need someone residing in the UK for endorsement (write a letter of recommendation for you). I believe you have a very good case with your skill set. Go through the "Exceptional promise" route.

I do not know where you got this information from but I grew up in an area where there are many hausa people and I never saw one walking around with dagger save for some going to the farm.
Again you are quick to generalise that hausa people are heartless, how did you arrive at such conclusion?

Not really though their transfer speed is good but rate is not that good because their commission increases while Azimo remains the same no matter the amount you are sending. Transferwise is good if you are sending anything £1-£100, Azimo transfer speed is frustrating.
Ok, I have not used Azimo before. I have used world remit, transferwise, ping-express, Rhemito and Transferboss(used to have very good rates and quite fast until the CBN license issue for transfer operators, I have not used them in over 2 years and not confident in their services anymore)

Then they are better than Azimo and transferwise
Transferwise is very good and is what I use if rhemito is not available as they often have the second best rate.

Interesting..never heard of them before, have you used them before and how quick is their service?
I have been using them for about 2 years now. They had some issues with their system and were off for a long time but recently resumed transfers. It takes around an hour or less for the funds to hit the account.

@salford lol! @ sabbatical. Life just gets in the way. I try to pop in when I can. Happy to see the thread growing though. Yea, the issues forced their hand to open the flood gates and yes, the docs get issued a tier 2 UK visa based on their employer prior to arrival.
@bsbabe what services did your person access privately? Usually when we say no private care we mean that there are no private hospitals or diagnostics and similar services. All of these are owned by the government. Clinics are different. Usually clinics are owned privately but services rendered are paid for by the provincial government through the health insurance system. Only people who are not eligible for health insurance then have the option to pay out of pocket. This is typically the system for a universal health care system as it operates here, the UK and Australia. In countries with private health systems, hospitals and other services can be owned by private organizations as is the case in countries like the states.
@rainazoe yea, process would be similar. Your gp would even refer you to midwives as well for obstetric care based on your preference.
There are private hospitals in the UK. Usually people prefer them to the NHS to avoid the long waiting times. Insurance companies will usually want you to go through the NHS first before using the service. spire is one of the hospital chains.

God bless you for this vital information you gave out. I'll advise others to try it out. It's even better compared the those free dating sites where there are lot of scammers. Here, you'll find ladies from all over the world, even ladies from Antarctica grin grin and also you'll mostly find working class ladies who might be willing to pay every necessary fee if she's drunk in love cheesy

If you can't afford to be me paying monthly, the moment your get a lady who responding to you well, just ask for her Facebook ID. Reason why I said this is cause you won't be able to send a message to anyone if you haven't made a payment or your payment expires. You only be able to see their profiles. So I they always request for their Facebook ID before the one month payment I did expires. It's truly 1000% worth I as SaintHilary said
But there are girls in Nigeria and you don't have to pay subscription fee to talk to them or are you strictly interested in just other races?

I found this thread right on time.

Which of these two would be suitable for a newly wed couple(with no kids yet) to reside : studio flat vs 1 bedroom flat?

Where can good furniture(especially king size bed & sofa, coffee table) be purchased “affordably”? I’ve checked Argos but want more options

I’d appreciate your opinions
British Heart Foundation sells good furniture. 1 Bed should be fine for both of you. I wouldn't stay in a studio with my spouse.

I didn't see this response before my last one. You do not have to insult people. What you are asking for is very difficult and no one will do it for you except they know you inside out and that still doesn't make it right. You are trying to deceive google and we are trying to make you see reason why you should use your real address. No one wants a criminal record here. Google is skeptical about Nigeria because of acts like what you are tying to do. Honesty and integrity is very important here and that's why even though not many people here believe in God, many are upright unlike back home where we shout and troop to places of worship but it does not reflect on our actions. It's little things like this that builds a nation.
INTEGRITY, HONESTY.

All the best but count me out.

Bro, google knows that people change addresses and so must have made provision for that. I do not believe you will lose your earnings. No one expects you to remain in the same location for ever. On the play store type in Nipost address, you will see Nipost Mailbox. Download it and use the app to obtain you house address. Send it to Google and they should be able to deliver the pin directly to your house. I am trying to help you mate.

Get a post office box, that way it gets delivered to your box. Alternatively download Nipost's new address post code. That way the mail can be delivered to your address anywhere in Nigeria. Check the play store for the Nipost app. It is very easy going b what the post master general said. Give it a try.

Marry a decent girl from a decent background and not necessarily from a well to do family. There are working girls, from rich families, that will make you live to a standard that you cannot sustain just to show off. Have a conversation with your woman and you guys should have an understanding so you don't burden each other after marriage.
