For rushing to the courts against his own party in the middle of an election that had not been conclusively decided in favor of his party, how is Faleke's anti-party case any better thought out than the similarly-unfortunate adventure Yahaya Bello earlier engaged in? Didn't Faleke learn anything from the terrible mistake Yahaya Bello earlier made by going to court and campaigning against his own party before the same elections?
And to think that Faleke does not even have one quarter of the political influence/clout that Bello had? Faleke simply tried to ride on the sentiments and coattail of James Audu's demise, by unilaterally proclaiming himself Governor-elect and picking Audu's surviving son as his own deputy single handed.
These politicians will never learn. You heard it here first... Faleke's political adventure in Kogi is finished.

Their case at best will be to jail Dasuki for misappropriation. The money was budgeted for defense but used for your boss personal use. All those advert are not tangible goods that can be return to get back the 2.1b.
Dokpesi legally has no case, wetin his lawyer talk before is not relevant but his reputation has suffered great damage but he can slowly recover. Dokpesi was clearly an accomplice, and he will be jailed if found guilty; this is no longer a Jonathan government, or business as usual. As for the money itself, it was not legitimate money, therefore it must be recovered from him/anyone that received that stolen money. Let him/anyone go and collect such money from the other party to the relevant contract(s). What, for God's sake, should the office of the NSA ever have anything to do with campaign funding for a political party?
What was the party itself there for? What was the then president's campaign organisation there for?
I think it's becoming clearer by the passing day, that a huge chunk our patrimony/federal money was diverted and looted, and just some of it for electioneering purposes.

Dokpesi: Money I Received Was For Publicity And Media In Political Campaigns BY THE NEWS NIGERIA DEC 02, 2015
Aeogho Dokpesi, Daar Communication (Ray Power and AIT) founder, has explained what transpired on Tuesday 1 December 2015 when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invited him.
Raymond Dokpesi, AIT Chairman
In a statement signed by the management of DAAR Communications Plc, he said that around 2.00pm that day, the Ag. Chairman of the EFCC, Alhaji Ibrahim Magu, through a phone call, invited him to the Commission.
On getting there, he was requested to, “shed more light on some payments that were made to him through the office of the erstwhile National Security Adviser to the former President, Malam Sambo Dasuki.”
Dokpesi explained to the EFCC officials that the N2.1 billion that he collected from the former NSA was payment for for publicity and media political campaigns during the 2015 General Elections.”
High Chief Aleogho Dokpesi “made his statement on the various media exposures and campaign transactions which were dutifully carried out based essentially on contractual obligations/relationship.”
The statement however did not explain how the office of the National Security Adviser became the cashier office for the payment of campaign expenses and the source of the money.
A special panel and the EFCC are probing how trillions of naira budgeted for defence were spent in the last eight years. An interim report by the panel already reported phoney contracts in excess of $2 billion. Fayose counters PDP, says APC’s Audu, Sylva free of corruption charges until proven guilty
November 19, 2015 Josiah Oluwole
Ayo Fayose, Ekiti state governor.
Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, on Wednesday disagreed on the credibility of candidates the All Progressives Congress is fielding for the Kogi and Bayelsa governorship elections.
The spokesperson for the PDP, Olisa Metuh, while briefing journalists in his office, had accused the APC of fielding candidates facing corruption charges, saying his party never acted that way for the 16 years it was in power.
He however cited an exception in Mr. Fayose, whose case he described as politically motivated.
Questioning the credibility of the APC candidates, Mr. Metuh argued that in other climes political parties take exceptions to candidates with corruption charges.
“We have never fielded any candidate facing corruption charge as governor,” he said.
“Elsewhere, political parties take exception to fielding people with corruption charges except if politically motivated like in the case of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state.
“No party has ever fielded corrupt individuals for political offices like the APC.”
Mr. Metuh said the APC’s fielding of former Governors Timipre Sylva and Abubakar Audu as its flag-bearers in Bayelsa and Kogi states was inappropriate.
Mr. Metuh also said the PDP was “compiling a list of all APC governors-elect and candidates that are in court facing corruption charges” and would make the list available to Nigerians.
But Mr. Fayose, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, took a different position, saying Messrs Audu Sylva remained qualified to contest the election until they are proven guilty
“I wish to state clearly that Alhaji Abubakar Audu has the right to contest,” Mr. Fayose said while debunking a statement credited to him that he queried the eligibility of the APC candidate.
He said the statement that Mr. Audu’s corruption case in court disqualified him from contesting the governorship election could not have been made by him.
Mr. Fayose further said that his statement in Lokoja during the grand finale of the PDP governorship campaign rally centred strictly on the need for free and fair election.
The governor said his comment had nothing to do with Mr. Audu, his former colleague, saying in law, every man is adjudged innocent until proven otherwise by a law court.
“That statement that he cannot contest was not made by me. What I said in Lokoja has nothing to do with Alhaji Audu and I am not contesting his eligibility,” he said.
”Alhaji Audu is my former colleague and I have a lot of respect for him. In law, every man is assumed innocent until proven otherwise by a law court.
“I equally went through a similar experience, I couldn’t have made such comment.” Source: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/193454-fayose-counters-pdp-says-apcs-audu-sylva-free-of-corruption-charges-until-proven-guilty.htmlP34c3 ..... ... |

It gets better- as Uwazuruike also stated that if he dies in the fight to actualize the creation of a Biafran state, he’d die a fulfilled man. The leader of the Movement for Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, (MASSOB) on Monday, urged all pro-Biafrans to remain steadfast and focused in the revolutionary struggle. Uwazuruike maintained that he would never relent in his ambition to make Biafra a reality, adding that the struggle is for his own children who desire a free country where the security of their lives and properties can be guaranteed. The MASSOB leader spoke through the Deputy National Director for Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, during a special meeting of Enugu West Senatorial District, in Nachi, Udi LGA. “ACF had asked Allah to give them Boko Haram, he gave to them and they became comfortable with its outcome. Afenifere elders had Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, fighting for social justice in Yoruba land. “I am very happy that Biafra is being talked about all over the world and people are being killed and detained for the sake of Biafra. So, if I fail to get Biafra, then I would have failed to do what Ndigbo expected of me and if I also die for the sake of Biafra, I will be fulfilled.” ynaija.com/im-very-happy-people-are-being-killed-over-biafra-massob-leader/ I honestly do not believe this story is genuine. The PDP IS lucky that the current Federal security apparatus did NOT prevent these two funny PDP governors from getting into Kogi for this governorship election campaigns/rally.
Remember how the Jonathan-era Federal security apparatus - part of Obanikoro et al's Ekitigate - prevented the APC governors Amaechi and Oshiomole from gaining entry into Ekiti state for the political campaign during the governorship election that produced Fayose as governor a couple of months before Jonathan was voted out?

Actually, Father Mbaka blamed the southeast governors and leaders as well while President Jonathan was in power. At some point then, Mbaka was even reported at the time to have been at serious loggerheads with some of those governors and leaders, for the same reasons - rightly or wrongly - of perceived underdevelopment of the southeast. So, I'm afraid, your premise is simply off. You're just looking for a needle in a haystack with which to pin Father Mbaka on this issue of the relative underdevelopment of the southeast. The southeast - like most other regions of the country, I hasten to add - certainly deserved better than what it got back from at least the immediate past leaders.
