A UK-based Nigerian, Franklyn has taken to 'X' to lament about the chicken prepared for him by his British girlfriend. The man shared a photo of the meat which was almost raw that was served to him. In the tweet he shared, he also asked if there are single persons in Leeds as his British girlfriend wants to “k!ll” him. The man’s tweet has generated mix responses, with some users teasingly attributing his girlfriend’s cooking skills based on her British background as an “Oyinbo girl”. Several individuals advised him to have taken a more private approach, suggesting that he could have taught her how to improve her cooking skills instead of sharing it online. Adam Sandler has consistently taken center stage in front of the camera, fearlessly embracing diverse roles from the early 2000s to the present day. Throughout his career, he has crafted cinematic classics across multiple genres. Notably, in more recent successes such as "Uncut Gems," a film we recently delved into in the TV and Film lounge, Sandler's portrayal of the protagonist not only captivated audiences but also played a pivotal role in propelling Julia Foxx's career to new heights. So, you can imagine our surprise when we were introduced to Sandler's new movie. In a surprising twist from the familiar Adam Sandler movie formula, the famous actor has taken a step back from the limelight, lending only his voice to the animated Netflix film, "Leo." This departure from his usual on-screen presence introduces audiences to a charming and aged lizard, Leo, voiced by Sandler himself, with famous comedian Bill Burr contributing as Squirtle the turtle, Leo's long-time tank companion. Beyonce looked stunning at the premiere for her Renaissance Tour movie, but some fans fear she's turning into Kim Kardashian. The Single Ladies singer, 42, rocked up in a glitzy gown designed by none other than Donatella Versace. The silver dress hugged her hour-glass figure and accentuated her bust in a strapless design. The garment, which also had metallic bicep-length gloves was even complemented by the iconic designer who posted a number of shots to her Instagram, labelling the former Destiny's Child star as "a vision in Versace". Queen Bey completed the look with platinum blonde locks and Versace added: "You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!! I can’t wait to see the Renaissance tour movie." However, not all fans were as complimentary as the fashion guru, with many taking to the comments section of her post to let their feelings be known. One user wrote: "I thought this was Kim K for a sec," alongside her crying with laughter emoji. Another agreed, and said it seemed as thought Bey was following everyone else's lead. "Literally everyone looking like a Kardashian," they fumed, while a third added: "it's giving kim k cher hybrid." @drewdamn87 said: "She really trying to pull a Michael Jackson. Out here looking like Gwen Stefani." @sameoldthxng added: "So many black women hate their natural features. Look at the difference in how they look, Jay-Z proudly rocking his natural melanin and hair, Beyonce..... Not so much." Despite the cynicism, others were quick to comment on Beyonce's beauty, with a number of fans simply branding her a "queen". Follow up with more Celebrity stories on Dyshus webpage

Tonto Dikeh has again queried the father of late singer, Ileriouluwa Oladimeji Aloba better known as Mohbad. In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, the mother of one questioned why material things seem to supersede his love for his late son. She noted how hurriedly Mohbad’s buried him with a coffin which is not his size. She further noted how the decision to exhume Mohbad’s body was stemmed from an outcry from the youths and not from him. Tonto reminded Mohbad’s father that his son was married and hence, responsibilities should be extended to her. Her full message reads: “MESSAGE TO MOHBAD’S DAD Mohbad, from the depth of my heart, I extend a profound apology. You deserve so much more, and it pains me to witness your struggles, with steadfast support coming from compassionate souls like “THE CONCERNED CITIZENS.” It’s a promise we will keep fighting regardless of names called & heartbroken. Papa Mohbad, I can empathize with the harsh realities of poor conditions, but when it involves your own flesh and blood, your son, it’s truly heartbreaking. How is it that material things or wealth seems to outweigh the love for your own child? The hurried and undignified burial of our dear Mohbad within a mere 24 hours of his supposed passing, compounded by insufficient arrangements due to financial constraints after getting a whooping sum of 2 million Naria, is deeply distressing considering his status. Need I remind you of the shameless, senseless, and inhumane way mohbad’s neck was broken? The decision to exhume your son’s remains stemmed from a collective outcry of Nigerian youth– which is a testament to our shared concern, While we acknowledged that Mohbad is indeed your son, please note, that he was a married man, and the responsibility should extend to his wife regardless of any circumstances. In your quest for global assistance and DNA verification, it’s crucial to address the right of that woman personally, the one who holds the answers. By the way, I totally agree with DNA, but why are you asking Nigerians for DNA and not Wunmi? Your immersion in social media, driven by trivialities and fleeting fame, is disheartening. I find solace in the knowledge that you are not a part of my family, sparing us the pain of witnessing your disregard for your son’s memory. It’s bewildering that your discontent only surfaced upon witnessing contributions to your grandson in the custody of his mother “Your late son’s wife”, BUT YOU NOW CHARGE 10k/15K to be interviewed🤦🏼♀️ Papa Mohbad, how does one fail their own flesh and blood not once, but twice? My heart aches for the pain you are causing and the deep wounds left unhealed. But I’ll leave you with these words, DO RIGHT BY YOUR SON”. Get more Celebrity Gist on Dyshus webpage

A Nigerian man, identified as Emmanuel Emju, has shared a rather controversial take about polygamy that has sparked mixed reactions online. Emmanuel, in a post shared via his Facebook page, stated that a man is a failure if he hasn’t considered taking a second wife after at least five years of being married to a woman. According to him, it’s preposterous for a man to have never contemplated the idea of marrying a second wife. He, however, clarified that he is not forcing men to choose polygamy but believes it is for the betterment of society if they marry more than one wife.” His post reads, “If you have been married to one lady for 5 years and you haven’t thought the needs to get a second wife, you are failing as a man. No one is forcing you to marry more than one wife.. you are only being told what would be better for you and the society. The Directorate of Citizens Rights of the Ministry of Justice in Ekiti State has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Damilola Adeparusi, popularly referred to as Chef Dammy against her pastor, Jeremiah Adegoke and the Ekiti State Police Command for alleged infringement of her right. The DCR also included that they are seeking a 10 million compensation for damages on behalf of the chef who gained popularity after attempting the cook-a-thon challenge in June, in order to break the Guinness World Record for longest cooking hours. Jeremiah Adegoke, who is the head pastor of Spirit Word Global Mission reportedly sponsored, Chef Dammy while she was engaging in the cooking competition. It all started after Chef Dammy shared a critic post on her Instagram page, also adding that if anything happens to her, Jeremiah Adegoke should be held responsible. The pastor however sued chef Dammy, demanding a retraction of the alleged defamatory statement, an apology on two widely read national dailies and payment of a sum of 22million for damages. None of these was done as chef Dammy went ahead to sue him back, which lead to the police inviting her for question last week. In the lawsuit filed by DCR on 24th of November, Chef Dammy was named as the applicant, while Adegoke and Ajewole Samuel, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 17 Akure, were named respondents. The lawsuit pursues a statement that the continued harassment, molestation, threat of arrest and intimidation by the pastor and Nigerian police, infringes on the chef’s fundamental human rights. Renowned writer, Chimamanda Adichie, discloses how the experience of giving birth to her daughter temporarily hindered her writing pursuits in an interview with BBC. According to MailOnline, the 46-year-old Americanah writer, who is married to Ivara Esege, a Nigerian medical doctor, and gave birth to a daughter nearly eight years ago, said that she’d struggled to find her ‘fictional space’ after giving birth and had battled constipation and aching joints during pregnancy. “Becoming a mother is a glorious gift, but it comes at a cost. I could probably have written two novels had I not had my child,” Adichie said. According to reports, she told BBC that she hoped the experience of raising a child would now ‘feed her fiction’ but that she had found it hard to pen novels in recent years. “I felt as though my brain had been wrapped in gauze. So, my brain didn’t work for a long time. And just more creatively, I think I am making my way back because I’m working on a novel finally,” She said. Speaking about the realities of pregnancy and childbirth, Adichie said that she had been left ‘horrified at the constipation, and achy joints. She added that there is a violence that comes with childbirth. “We are sort of reduced to our animal selves,” she said. Speaking to The Times 2 Magazine after the criticism, she said: ‘I will say what I think and often there are consequences, and I’m willing to accept those consequences.’ Last year, the author faced criticism for being labelled ‘transphobic’ on social media and subsequently spoke out against Cancel Culture. Despite being a supporter of transwomen and a vocal advocate for LGBT rights in Nigeria, the author was accused of ‘transphobia’ by fellow Nigerian writer Akwaeke Emezi, who is non-binary. The author expressed her belief that certain social media platforms have fostered an environment where people are quick to anger. In response to the backlash, the author penned an essay titled ‘It is Obscene’ last year. In this essay, she accused the online critics of being afraid of holding differing opinions. She argued that many individuals on social media appear hypocritical, preaching about kindness but failing to practise it themselves. She noted that some people seem emotionally detached online and are more focused on conforming to prevailing ideologies than embracing the messy complexities of human stories in literature. The author also criticised those who wield terms like ‘violence’ and ‘weaponize’ as if they were blunt instruments. She lamented that the younger generation on social media often fears expressing divergent opinions to the point of hindering their own personal growth and learning. The motivation behind writing the essay, as mentioned in a December interview with the BBC, was a particularly hurtful incident where her parents were targeted online. Her father, James Nwoye Adichie, passed away in the summer of 2020 due to kidney failure, and her mother, Grace Ifeoma Adichie, unexpectedly passed away in March 2021. The author revealed that her nephew informed her of people online celebrating her parents’ deaths as punishment for her refusal to assert that trans women are women. Adichie acknowledged that she doesn’t consider herself ‘brave’ for speaking out on important issues, but she remains committed to voicing her concerns on topics she holds dear. A Brazilian woman who married a doll husband, had a doll son with him and is “pregnant” with another threw a 40-person gender reveal party for their second child. Meirivone Rocha Moraes and “husband” Marcelo — a rag doll made by Moraes’ mother — announced in a TikTok video Sunday that their second child will be a girl. Moraes said their inanimate daughter is due in December and revealed that her name will be Marcela. The unconventional couple already has a son Marcelinho. The reveal video featured Moraes, Marcelo, and Marcelinho dressed in pink and blue with pink and blue decorations and Moraes holding a sparkler spouting pink smoke. She screens and jumps for joy and the camera pans to the roughly 40 family and friends clapping for her. “I wanted it to be a boy because I’ve heard having a girl is very expensive and much more work,” Meirivone said in Portuguese, according to the Daily Mail. “But the baby will still be welcomed and very loved by me and her dad.” “Marcelo is very, very happy because he wanted a girl. He already has Marcelinho, who is our boy, so now a girl has made him very satisfied,” the eccentric mom added. Moraes’ mother made the rag doll after the daughter complained that she was still single and didn’t have a forró dance partner. Moraes previously said she instantly “fell in love” with Marcelo when her mom first introduced them. She has posted about a series of contrived controversies — including claiming that Marcelo had cheated on her twice prompting her to remove his Love Machine penis. She also claimed in February that Marcelinho was taken hostage by people demanding a roughly $200 ransom for his return. She has previously said it makes her “angry” when people tell her her family isn’t real. “It really upsets me when people say this is fake. It makes me so angry. I am a woman of character. My father, my mother taught me to be honest, to be a good person and not want to take advantage of anything.” Follow Up with more Relationship Gist on our Relationship Talk Lounge join our games, quizzes and more(link) Check out our Readathon Contest🏆 Win 10$ for 10hrs https://www.instagram.com/p/CzTZtRWqxyr/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
