All these chelsea fans in a frenzy over 2nd class Europa while the big boys will be meeting in London next week. |
[s]why are Nigerians so mean to their leaders this is the first lady she can handle it [/s] |
Why is everyone courting Igbos? Soon Yorobs will say Awolowo misled them |
why did all of them use the same lipstick |
CFCfan: With that win, Chelsea have qualified for the Champions League! And once again, the Manchester teams will crash out in the first round with one London team leaving a lone London team. |
dolphinife: I can see that people just love misquoting unnecessarily. I only listed those people that pioneered their professions. If we have issues with those people that i listed, why can't we come up with our own substantial proof so that we all can learn from it. at this juncture, i will gladly list some questions for us so that we can answer themPls, abeg, Remove Abiole from your list pls. Even your fellow kinsman Fela told everyone how the 'ITT' made his money. (Because of Seun now i cant write this in full). |
emmatok: But the tread is about peeps from Ogun state. But your brain forgot to tell you that when one uses a comparative word like the OP in this case BEST, he has automatically involed all and sundry. |
Eko oni ogbanje! Fashola is working! |
ZUBY77: That place is expensive. I was asked to pay 50million for a duplex.Pls run away as fast as possible, from those fraudsters cause u cant even get an empty plot for that amount, not to talk of a duplex. |
musKeeto: You mean pressing iron? For your mind you dey funny. |
ARES: Yeah right after saying that, he equally said fuel was 40 bucks a litre. It is crap because it is positive. I would very much love to call u a decerebrate azzwipe but today is sunday. Do u think a site like nairaland would be free to operate under Abacha's regime? Nigeria has one of the freest press that is a fact. |
Who gave this 82 year old man this kind of initiative? Is it his grand son? |
dolphinife: @kettyking, I can see how disillusioned and naïve u are. Am mentioning a single state, yet u are combining the whole of ur impoverished igbo tribe. Did I mention yorubaland or yoruba people to u?. I still maintain it here, there is no single state in nigeria dat has produced as much as ogun state. My small LGA can boast of better. Please stop wanking in public. |
slap1: Owerri is the Ngwori Capital of the South-East, quote me! Hospitality is a booming business there. Nearly every street has two or three 'standard' fast food shops or 'joints'. In case you don't have car, you are sure to get a 'keke' that will take you home even around 1:am.That is the problem i have with most Owerri inhabitants. They have a very skewed meaning of what LEISURE means, for them it is all about isi ewu, ugba na okporoko with star and maybe weed. Thus the proliferation of substandard, sham street corner 'joints'. Can i take my family to those places to hang out on weekends. Will i even feel safe to drive in those dark streets? Is there any single amusement park, mall or cinema in Owerri? Night life and leisure means more than point and kill fish. Please Owerri is just a small town a little above crappy. Op if u have a small income stick to a small street corner joint in Owerri cause that is their way of life(quite different from leisure and nightlife), if u have more money go to Enugu and start sth classier, u'll enjoy the city. |
Took a ride to York for some sightseeing and i literally had a culture shock cause i spent half a day touring that town and i didnt see a single black face. Not even one, except for my reflection on the mirror. I felt awkard cause everyone was irritatingly polite. |
Does Fashola have mumps in that picture? |
I was expecting an ostrich not a pidgeon |
Britney Spears is still relevant!? At this point, I’ve come to think of her as a strange memory of my youth, and a time when every major pop singer was a teenager singing about their sexuality while publicly proclaiming to be virgins (think about how this was truly an odd period). However, the world’s top Britney Spears imitator, Michaela Weeks, earns $450,000. She charges $5,400 for a single appearance. Can she sing? According to The Daily Mail… maybe? Michaela said: ‘I tried a bit of modelling after that but every time I tried to do something different people kept coming back to the Britney thing. ‘In the end the pull was so strong I packed in my waitressing job and decided to give it a go full-time and I haven’t looked back since.’ From there, work as a Britney lookalike started flooding in and Michaela began putting together a tribute act with the help of a vocal coach and choreographer. Do you think this would be awesome? I read these stories and think that it would probably be some kind of lucky stroke of fate to be born looking exactly like a much more famous person. And then I think “no, because her life will be forever limited to looking exactly like Britney Spears. What if she wanted to be a neuroscientist? She would have to be a neuroscientist in a red leather catsuit. That would be so difficult to do neuroscience in.” Or I guess she could dye her hair. I suppose whether or not anyone has the opportunity to take advantage of their looks (models, for instance) always seems like a weird stroke of luck, this incidence just stands out a bit more. Though, hell, for $5,000 an appearance I’d pretend to be Britney Spears, and I look absolutely nothing like her. www.thegloss.com/2013/05/02/beauty/britney-spears-imitator-michaela-weeks-earns-450000/ |
PEOPLE of Enugu State, on Thursday, went through a familiar anxiety over the whereabouts of their governor, Sullivan Chime, amidst a wild rumour that he was dead. Rumours on the governor’s unknown whereabouts was first to hit the waves as early as mid-day on Thursday, while, some few hours later, it was rumoured again that Chime had passed on, while condolence messages were being shared on the Facebook by supposed pained sympathisers. The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Chief Chukwudi Achife, however, dismissed the rumour, maintaining that Chime was hale and hearty. Achife, in a short telephone interview, said “And you think that is true? You believe them? It is not true.” A source told the Nigerian Tribune that Chime travelled to Abuja for an official engagement, adding that his rumoured death might have been orchestrated by his political opponents. At the Government House, Enugu, on Thursday, it was gathered that normal activities of the government were ongoing without disruption tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/news/item/10991-chime-hale-hearty-enugu-govt |
Getting closer to my 3-1 prediction in Bayern's favour. |
Bayern pass Barcelona by far I predict 3-1 in favour of Bayern. |
donez: Only doctors should head hospitals, just lyk saying politics should only be played by graduates of political science dats a piece of crap!! Anybodi in d medical field should be eligible to head a hospitalHospitals have a management board which maybe headed by anyone. However, the Chief medical director (which is what the other health workers are demanding for) can and should only be held by a doctor as the name MEDICAL DIRECTOR implies. |
The doctor is the head of the medical team. Running a hospital requires a background knowledge of the workings of that hospital which is best known by the doctor because all the processes involved in patient management including requesting for medical investigations, drug prescription, patient monitoring emanate from the doctor. The patient belongs to the doctor and he has the best knowledge of ALL the challenges in patient mgt from lack of power to run a life support machine to lack of petrol to run an ambulance (no matter how far off these may seem from actual medicine practice). The doctor is ultimately held responsible for the well being of a patient, no other person carries a greater burden of responsibility. ONLY A DOCTOR SHOULD HEAD A HOSPITAL LESS IT CEASES TO BE REFERRED TO AS ONE. |
