Politics › Re: T.A Orji Chase Imo Transport Company (ITC) Out Of Abia by eagleeye2:
kelvincoll: Seems to me it was a private property and the landlord posssibly had receive a more profitable offer, i don't see why Orji would retaliate, same way he chased out workers who were not of Abia origin from the civil service.

SMH.. these two old men should be able to sit down and sort out things amicably with the masses at heart.
I battle with myself to understand those two, T.A and Owelle and what they are fighting for.
Even if it is a private property, why not allow Abia State to get the offer of First Refusal?
Diplomacy should have been emplyed here. I hate to admit it, but this guys are disgracing the Igbos more.
I just passed ITC park and it has been sealed. I know Abia Official Thugs, they won't look kindly on any ITC motor they see in Abia state, I can bet on that.

Op,
If you are a " virile young man" as you claimed, I will suggest you get a job and start feeding yourself before going to your uncles place..
I really don't understand how people (relations and friends) don't get it that once a guy/babe marries, you should at least respect that fact. What stops op from staying away from"uncle" for a while at least give the couples time to enjoy their young marriage (I am assuming op's uncle is not married for up to 5years).
I have uncles and cousins and friends who have gone ahead to get married and once they get hitched I stay away from them. What they will be saying is "hey, Eagle you have been avoiding us".
It is better to hear, " It's been long I saw you" than to hear "Have you come again"....
Op, have some self respect and stay away from the couples, before you become a reason why they are fighting.

this thread is not an argumentative thread but you and your likes have suddenly turned a beautiful thread into a mini e-war Zone where insults are traded back and forth.

The pictures you posted are not of villages but cities.

In addition may you be Blessed beyond imagination, if your posts potray without any bias the true position of houses/buildings in Igbo villages. Amen.

Odenigbo Aroli: Odumchi, this is a nice thread but I think its important to be specific about the kind of Igbo that share those similarities with Efik/Ibibbio. Those of us who are from Anambra,Anioma,Enugu and Imo do not share any cultural similarities with Efik/Ibibbio,at least non that I know of. Moreso,it is paramount to know that most peripheral Igbo in Abia originated from Efik/Ibibbio,hence the cultural similarities.

The most undiluted Igbo culture has nothing in common with Efik/Ibibbio.
People show take note of this. And I am not saying Abians aren't pure Igbo, either.
Ihea bu ihe ide. Nda kwanu nke ikpa yi ga tonwa?
I know you have apologised, but next time try to understand that statement like the above could heat up any discussion.

Politics › Re: Appointment Of Military Service-Chiefs Declared Illegal by eagleeye2: 11:29am On Jul 02, 2013
danny301: Sending the names of service chiefs to national assembly for approval has nothing to do with the war against boko haram, after all the service chiefs are not among those in the battle front.... Government is not about individuals on few individuals but a system that is programmed to work with or without any particular person regardless of his tribe or religion.... Iherjerika, the army chief is not fighting any personal war against boko-haram, the war is a Nigerian war declared by the president and commander in chief of the arm forces of the federal republic of Nigeria. What we are talking about here is the constitution of the land which should be prominent among all other things. Until we begin to build institutions/working systems rather than vesting powers on individuals we will remain in where we are.
so are you saying that until it is ratified by the NA, the Service Chiefs should be relieved of their duty?
What happens to NATIONAL SECURITY being paramount to any other considerations.

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

FYI, all public official are "Civil SERVANTS". In fact Jonathan is the biggest/chief Servant.
I don't really know where you get this Idea of JEG being a CIVIL SERVANT.
for your information, JEG is a PUBLIC SERVANT and not a Civil Servant.
And as A PUBLIC SERVANT he is the President which makes him the Leader of all Nigerians and all that resides in Nigeria.
As a Leader he DESERVES your respect, even the Bible makes us understand that we should RESPECT THOSE IN AUTHORITY.
