moreover, I was away in a boarding school fromt he age of 10. Spent six years in boarding house taking care of myself, spent five years in the university taking care of myself. Spent one year of National service taking care of myself.

The funny thing is that I never asked her to do anything for me (just as I have never asked others in the past). She did it and is still doing it because she feels like and she knows that I appreciate what she does for me. Moreover she knows I can pay for those things she is doing, so no biggy.

Am just concerned about those other guys that don't have the liver to talk to a girl and set the ground rules or for girls that will come with attitude cos we are dating.

Now, for young unmarried ladies in Naija, how many of you are truely living in your own house. I don't mean those who stay in an off campus accomodation and indulge in campus romance.
I mean graduates or self employed or employed ladies, living all by themselves. I mean girls I can visit at any time of the day, without anyone interogating them.
I believe those are the ones your quote addresses.
But for a girl who doesn't have her own independence and personal space, a girl who finds it more comfortable visiting me "her boyfriend" and spending time with me or even passing the weekend in my house to come up with this mentality of "I can't be seen doing house chores for my boiffy". Then I say SHE IS ON LONG THING. Cos my house is not a RELAXATION JOINT.
As I stated above, I pay for the services I need and don't expect any free lunch. But if you must tangle with me, and expect me to help you out sometimes, then you should equally help me out sometimes.

I sometimes tell my babes no to bother themselves when they offer to help take care of me. There is this babe that actually had a quarrel with me cos she thinks am wasting money, on things she can easily do for me.
I grew with a lot of aunties and am an only son, so I know first hand how women do think generally. In the event of a break up the babe will start recounting what and what not she has done for you (but she will not remember the ones you did for her). So to avoid insults, I take those my clothes to the dry cleaner and I eat out most times (especially when my babe is not in town). I believe in NO FREE LUNCH anywhere.
