Not a bad idea. I have always thought that regional government structure in a federation will suit Nigeria's multicultural and religious setting. It will devolve power to regions and allow them to have more say in the way they want to progress. It will also allow for healthy competitions among regions. It is worth trying since the current government structure is kind of divisive. |
Nice writeup and good lessons learnt on leadership and pride. |
Media fight of corruption is not anticorruption fight. We are not babies! |
Using the word "impossible" is abit assertive and conclusive. How then did Jonathan win his first election? In politics, Nothing is Impossible! It is too dynamic to predict sometimes. |
Is Buhari among the talents? |
Ghana should mind their business and leave Nigeria alone. We have our problems, but hate it when Ghana tries to pontificate themself, as if they holly. Nigeria will bounce back once we solve our greatest problem, which is leadership. |
Four years and counting...this woman has not been prosecuted yet? Why? |
GutsOverFear:Does it matter? Being a Pastor means alot morally and you don't give a rat some smoked fish to keep for you, it will destroy it. If she doesn't come out to speak, may be more girls could end up the same way, psychologically damaged and feeling exploited. But let's see what comes out of it. |
How come Buhari could not defeat Boko Haram? In 2015 he gave us the impression that he had the magic wand to destroy BH. How come after 4 years we are still hearing this story? BH should have been finished by now. |
Why is African countries struggling with paying their teams unlike Oyibo countries? I smelt corruption otherwise how can you explain this recurring problem. |
So sad to hear this story. Have we degenerated so low like this, robbers in BRT bus. Na wa oo! |
Oyibo have gone too far, that's why they are called advanced countries and many of them (countries) are really rich. For African/black people, whether home or abroad, they think that by showing off material wealth or wearing expensive things, that they will command respect but it only magnifies their folly. Just know that your respect comes from your brain power, thought process, ideas, inventions, leadership, development, how you influence the world positively, ingenuity, etc. We can't be at the bottom and pretending to be at the top. That's self deception. Only few Africans/blacks have commanded this respect but it should rather be a majority and a collective tendency rather than few. |
Every problem have a solution once it is identified. You don't expect Lugard to come back to life and undo the amalgamation. We can simply do the needful, by peacefully and amicably decentralise power or call it a quit altogether. |
Well done ladies. Your showing at the world cup wasn't bad. There are obviously many areas to improve. Keep it up. |
Is this the most pressing need in Nigeria? APC is just a jamboree. |
For me the officiating wasn't particularly so good. The Cameroonian girls were not doing bad until first and second goals happened in quick successions. It got worst when their goal was disallowed even though the situation appeared similar to England's. Temper flared up so much throughout the match that at a stage they wanted to walk out. I think VAR need to be discontinued. It causes alot of wahala b/c of the inconsistency in applications at this tournament. It slows game down and sometimes kills the joy of football. Instead of celebration, people will be talking about VAR. This is Not good! On the other hand, I noticed particularly that Nigeria and Cameroon girls still lack technical depths and do sometimes make silly mistakes like foul throwing and goal keeper using hand to collect ball from her own defender back pass. Otherwise, they were not that bad. |
Who is Miyetti Allah to decide who becomes Nigeria president in 2023. I thought Fulani/Hausa and Yoruba are still playing political ping pong with the rest of Nigeria. |
cooltola:Well said. Thumb up! |
VillagePipu:Your last sentence is Not true! |
Which kind misyarn be this? Miyetti Allah, i be like say something don dey worry una. For SE, you wan do vigilante. Wonders shall never end! |
Even if they go through to round of 16, I doubt if they can go beyond. Those US girls will finish them off. |
Falana is simply talking trash! Was he paid to say so or was he being sarcastic. What a paradox. |
Nigeria is sinking further and further. Even Nigeria Army is struggling like this. Na wao! Too much corruption, incompetence and vested interests is killing the nation. |
As if preaching is the biggest challenge in Kaduna. Mr I too know, you're just pretending. We know you don't like Christians. |
Oh!, I thought Buhari is the perfect one. No, let's keep on supporting the status quo until Nigeria's security and economic problems becomes uncontrollable. A president who lacks purpose in leadership than just to be called "president", and that's it. Abeg get yourself up and start fixing problems. That's why you're elected. Na wao! |
CotenantNIG:You are so on point. |
jared007:Is Ibori still pulling the strings? |
TheWrita:The one I knew he said was before election but definitely after securing the mandate of his party. Don't worry yourself, it's a global thing. It is not exclusive to Nigeria politicians. |
Modphase:Yes, I agree it is the best state so far. Having benefited from hosting Nigeria as national capital for about 30 years and indeed lucky with leaders, including God fathers, that's when measured by Nigeria standards. I'm not sure all Igbos (as you allege) are actually killing or will kill themselves for what they contributed in building, may be the very few who enjoys whining you guys up, and laughing about it. Time will come in future, when all these might no matter anymore. |
lagdmark: ![]() That's if things has gone from bad to worst. For now I will say it's just generally bad. |
There is only one state left standing in Nigeria today where a godfather has lasted long and has successfully chosen all governors after his tenure. But in many other states, God fathers doesn't reign more than a term. |
Politicians talk from both sides of the mouth especially when canvassing for votes. After they've gone in, they will start making electorates look like fools when they start their denials. |
