..and this son of cow dung eating with an I.Q lower than that of a toddler will see this post and ignore it. What is the North afriad of, we all know even if you pretend you dnt. Restructure and see how fast Kano will become a ghetto of beggars. I don't do personal insults, am too matured for that. I read that article before you did, you can clearly see my commonest on the front page. What Bashir Dalhart was talking about was the last so called Confab. Also restructuring is mainly aimed at blackmailing and cheating the north of its resources which mainly is food. If you are serious call for break up of the country like Ango Abdullahi declared https://www.nairaland.com/3611536/north-ready-nigerias-breakup-prof Restructuring is aimed at putting north to a disadvantage, while break up is going to every side on its own path. And finally and fortunately we have to be the side to decide for you which path Nigeria follows. Just hang on...... |

khSteel: Now, this is the kind of lies and misinformation that should not be allowed to see the light of day.
You are condemning everything about GEJ's initiative in the provision of schools to some children in the North but you carefully did not mention the Governors in charge of those areas.
First, provision of primary & secondary education are the sole responsibility of the State & Local government, nothing concerns FG in that area. Please consult your constitution for more information.
Secondly, Peter Obi made so much investment in Education in Anambra State during his stay as the Executive Governor of Anambra State. Then, the question is what are Northern governors doing with all those huge monthly allocations? Most States in North collect huge allocations way bigger than what Anambra State get, yet they can't make the right investments in their Education. Some months back we all heard of Jigawa State conducting Tendering process for the construction of Mosque in all its LGA, yet people like you will leave this blatant misappropriation of State funds to start blaming GEJ.
GEJ simply showed them an initiative and actively participated in that initiative; what they - the respective governors do with that initiative is left to them.
FG build schools for them and hand it over to them yet you want make FG still manage the school? Na so them dey do for your side? Papa go marry wife for pikin, you still want make Papa come help his pikin do the needful? hmmm
How many primary & secondary schools has/did FG (including GEJ) built in the Southern States? Please enough of this useless pampering.
@poster,
Kindly remove Igbos in your write-ups. Free Igbos from your hate-induced threads.
@Post
Southerner leaders should be on the alert when write-ups like this start coming from the usual quarters.
Sanusi as CBN governor did all CBN's CSR in the North none whatsoever for the SE. He pumped billions of Naira on Universities in Kano, Borno, etc. and none for any university in SE & others.
Sanusi can inspire his Northern people to greatness without putting people from the south in the equation because when an "excuse" (maybe another cartoon in Denmark) occurs there won't be any need for their youth to unleash their anger/hatred on people from the south since their youths will never understand the context Sanusi used in referencing the south in this his write-up. Go and read my first and second posts on this thread I commended GEJ for the Almajiri schools. You can't jump into the middle of conversation like that. I am not praising the governors claiming they are the best the way you are doing to Peter Obi. |

opal4real: You know I'm stating the obvious, the North has perfected the skill of dividing the greedy Southerners who are hell bent in acquiring power and wealth by any means necessary and it seems the North has that ace.
The North will never sponsor that bill because that will be their doom! You south that it will be your salvation why are you not sponsoring it!? Bunch of liverless blackmailers. As Nigeria is today only 5 states can survive on their own resources, meaning about 12/17 representing 70% of states in the south are in the same boat with the rest of the north. But your blind sense of judgment won't let you see that. To fools like you all of the south produces what takes care of all of the north. Let's divide and see who cries more! South Sudan! |

The Emir can compel and convince the Sultan to call it while he (the Emir) pits all the logistics in place. Also Kano today is the Islamic capital of Nigeria. It also has more resources and amenities to host the event. |

CarlosTheJackal: what input did the northern elders do to make it viable?
Gej did his part but the elite in the north didn't want it to succeed because of selfish reasons
The only people that can solve Almajiri problem is the north and not the government. Its a cultural thing yhat must be done away with. Who doesn't want it to succeed? or How? I just told you the GEJ schools barely scratched the surface that it could only cater for less than 1% , so tell me how is anybody against it! Selfish elite is a general Nigerian problem example the arms fund looting. According to you the only people that can solve the problem is the North and not government, if I understand you you meant to say not FEDERAL GOVERNMENT because state governments in the north are actually part of the NORTH. You shall therefore kindly note I never inferred it was the duty of federal government solely to solve this particular problem. When BH was at its peak and seemed invincible by the ineffectual government the north united and did the needful. Allow us to find ways of solving problems peculiar to our region while you solve a myriad of yours too. |

CarlosTheJackal: what happened to the schools Gej built 1. All the schools put together can not accomodate up to 10,000 students! Thats like less than 0.1% of the out of school kids in the north. 2. While GEJ Almajiri schools are a laudable good idea, but executing it was all politics. While the schools were grossly inadequate, the running of the schools was left in the hands of state governments. And GEJ and his administration moved on as if they had solved Almajiriship problem in the north. |

opal4real: The Igbos will sell the Yorubas for Money and the Yorubas will sell the Igbos for power/position to be second to the Hausa/Fulanis if Nigeria remain one.
The major problem are the Yorubas they seems scared to survive on their own, these are people who have the greatest potential to be one of the most richest countries in West Africa if they go on their own.
Yorubas should encourage Biafra agitation,if Biafra succeeds they will go their own way too.
If Nigeria breaks today the South West will be Dubai of Africa, South East will be China and Niger-Delta will be Saudi Arabia bt we all know the North will be Niger or Chad cos they are born parasites who can't survive independently,they always need a host and Southern Nigeria has been hosting them for 60years.
Southern Nigerians should wake up!!! Lol! Keep telling yourselves this trash, North never wanted to be part of this arrangement in the first place. Talking about break up yet non of your lawmakers have an idea how to sponsor a bill to repeal Nigeria's indivisibilty. May be the north has to champion the division ourselves since the south seems too hypocritical to do it. Then we will see who will be south Sudan and who'd be Sudan. |

nijabazaar: I think he x in the enlightenment phase...intagram x influencial.
i just hope they wont harm him. Who will harm him? FYI he isn't the first to condemn Almajiriship. Many governments have tried different app or inches including banning it. Everyone even in the north knows Almajiriship has outlived it's usefulness, except the parents who send their kids and the teachers who exploit them. The main problem is HOW to solve the problem, of which if the Emir is willing, from his pocket alone, a significant change can affected. For a start, simply build enough boarding schools and dumb the kids there! Later tax each parent for the upkeep of their kids. Trust me Every Muslim knows feeding, clothing, shelter and education of their kids is father's sole responsibility, no matter how poor he is. |
