I don't have anything against him but mind you the main reason he won the 2015 reelection was because of the unlikeable nature of his APC opponent. |

The Emir is in a great position to effect change. The first step is banning Almajiriship. C that system has outlived it's usefulness. The next is to model educational system that encourages Islamic and conventional education. Make it compulsory and contribute your own funds towards it's success. Due to cheap cost of living about N1million is enough to make a difference in a person's educational life. omaguibu: There is something the Northern elites gain from the non education of the northern region. One of the reasons they foght GEJ tooth and nail was his quest for unparalleled education of the North. Establishing Universities, Almajiri schools and renovation of thousands of secondary and primary schools. But still, he was so hated like a leper. Even when I am saying this in favor of the masses, watch how they will come here and blast me. It is well. What do the elite gain from other people's ignorance? You that are claiming educated from from the south where you educated by your elites? Where you given scholarship by the richest man in your village? It's amazing how every southerner thinks they have all the answers to the problem of the north. The reluctance to go to school is a historic and attitudinal one that requires time and willingness from the part of the masses to address. When you have a people that are not motivated to father wealth, that are content with cultivating their fathers farmlands with no ambition to own a car or a big house, then you understand how hard is it to convince them to spend and see their kids through school. I was the first person to be sent to school in my family, and up till now they still see me as someone who just a different path of business (like you choose to study engineering and your brother choose law) nothing considered special. On the topic, it's good write up. The Emir is in a great position to effect change. The first step is banning Almajiriship. C that system has outlived it's usefulness. The next is to model educational system that encourages Islamic and conventional education. Make it compulsory and contribute your own funds towards it's success. Due to cheap cost of living about N1million is enough to make a difference in a person's educational life. |

psp2pc: even though soldiers are guilty of this kind of crime. I don't see the evidence that prove that he was the one that committed the offence. all I grabbed was that someone saw him. no DNA sample to prove his guilt or innocence. or am I missing something. is oral accusation now an acceptable mode of evidence in our courts? let not an innocent man hang by the noose. 1. He had confessed to being in the vicinity of the crime at the time the crime was committed. 2. There was an eye witness (this is very important) account, who saw the perp in the act. 3. Forensic evidences and medical report corroborated all the eye witness's account of the crime. Though you may need a DNA to prove beyond reasonable doubt, but that is in CSI and NCS movies. As far as Nigerian judicial system is concerned, that's beyond reasonable doubt. The defence can explore that option sha. |

Walahi if i 'launder' money, even forensic auditors from the FBI fraud unit will not be able to trace it You are a learner that's why. First rule of money laundering is try to avoid anything banking. The second is you can't trust anyone. Ask my former governor, his brother absconded with the largest chunk of his loot. If you give them to hide they could deny you, knowing you can't report them to authorities. There are few loyal ones though. The third and best is to keep it in foreign currency in your safe, and play along with the people in power so they don't send EFCC or DSS commando style to your home. |
Islam › Re: No Protest In Islam.. .from Soheehul Bukharee by EazyMoh(m): 7:29pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
Empiree: kindly ignore POLITICS in this discourse. I'm talking about PROTEST itself. Everything is political no matter where you look at it.
At least you are sincere to say this.
Well, they used to be under israel control until 2005 when hamas fought its way out. This was done through ptotests and rebellion against israel and they succeeded. That's why they have Gaza today ruled by them. Again, at least you seem sincere. But a Saudi scholar denounced Palestinians protests which had many Muslims call them hypocrite.
brother, taking to the streets is never first option in many protests. It is always last option. Talks always preceed until it colapse. Before you take to str to protest minimum wage, you first talk to your boss for as long as it takes. You just don't protest outright. That makes no sense.
you all mixing things up. Your problem is you brothers are not exposed yet. Few yrs from now when you travel more, most likely your view will change and you will understand the hadith better. Now do you care to ponder over the hadith I quoted in support of my argument??.
Also if protests are forbidden, why would Quran have zero tolerance for oppression? . Why would Quran say
"Why would you not fight when men, women and children cry for help "
^^
The above is not quoted. It is paraphrased. You can look it up in the quran yourself. This one is not even talking about "peaceful protests". It is talking about fighting back those who oppress you. But you brothers are saying even if your leader beat you, take your right you should be subservient to them no matter what. Quran trashes that.
Your problem is you brothers turn to hadith first. You gave hadith preference over Quran. That's wrong methodology. OK I hope we learn a thing or two from this discussion, good night. |
Islam › Re: No Protest In Islam.. .from Soheehul Bukharee by EazyMoh(m): 6:48pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
Empiree: And mind you, taking to street to protest is LAST OPTION.
It is not like you have a concern and your start protesting. tiler Won't understand you.
There has to be talks going on like delegating people to talk to them private which is what it is in most cases. If this doesn't work, then next option follows. In many cases it doesn't work but it prolongs public outcry.
Another question for you is, if you live in non-Muslim majority country and govt decides to demolish your masjid are you telling me you would not protest it?.
If protest would lead to violence, this can happen two ways. Either from within protesters or government's agent provocatouers to discredit protesters. Dialogue is always the best option. The first thing is try to find out what did the mosque violated to deserve demolition and then try to fix it from there. |
Islam › Re: No Protest In Islam.. .from Soheehul Bukharee by EazyMoh(m): 6:24pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
Empiree: Walsikum salaam
Why did Qatar bombed Gadafi and his men on behalf of protesters and why middle east country like Saudi and the West support the move?. Are they not aware of the hadith quoted by the op?.
Why did Saudi bombed Yemen which resulted to protests and lost of lives that you claimed the hadith would prevent? . Is Saudi not aware of the ahadith?.
Finally, is it HARAM for the Palestinians to protest Israeli occupation, slavery and bombings? .
Can you protest minimum wage and price increase on food?
When you answer these questions, i can determine how you think.
And by the way, did you see hadith quoted by me and others in reference to this issue or you chose to ignore? All the crisis in the middle east are politically motivated. There thousands of the prophet's commands are not observed by Muslims and their countries Saudi inclusive. Israel state isn't the leader of Palestinians, so they don't deserve any form of obedience. What we have been saying is there is a better way to pass your grievances to the government than storming the street for a civil disobedience. Lastly protest is the least of the problems facing the Muslim ummah today. What I'd want you to understand is that the prophet encourages extreme patience and obedience to constituted authority, I rest my case. |
Islam › Re: No Protest In Islam.. .from Soheehul Bukharee by EazyMoh(m): 6:08pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
tintingz: A democratic government can maltreat the people but the difference is you can sue the government for Justice which can never happen under a dictator ruler.
It is not about all is well it is about freedom.
Morsi was a military man before he became a civilian just like Obasanjo. Morsi used his military influence to implement a totalitarian law. Read
As president, Morsi issued a temporary constitutional declaration in late November that in effect granted him unlimited powers and the power to legislate without judicial oversight or review of his acts. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohamed_Morsi
Morsi was acting like a dictator and this led to the protest. A military man overthrown and crisis started, you can how dictatorship is the cause of most wars?
I've given you how wars started above, protest are hijacked by terrorists, militants just like how the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt hijacked the protest, fighting against the military ruler in Egypt.
Again there are different between protest and rebellion.
You can protest for anything, the blacks and women got thier right and freedom through protest, We shouldn't be stoic.
Correction, not all protest lead to chaos, in fact protest has done good to the people.
First, is Nigeria a Muslim country?
Did boko haram started as an open protest? Are they not rebelling against the government because of an imaginary Islamic state?
Did U.S court not suspend the travel ban raised by trump through protest?
Where does the Quran go against protesting? I suspected you weren't a Muslim in the first place. Well this is an Islamic topic not a political opinion. The OP has given many ahadith and there are many more which command a great deal of patience and restrain in the part of followers. Muslims are not allowed to carry out any form civil disobedience. |
