What's it call?, I know they don't call it tithe.
Don't tell me you are trying to refer to Zakat, because Zakat is actually opposite of Tithe, in every way.

Muslims pay tithe and zakat
Ah ah! Which kind lie be dis now? There is now such thing as tithe in Islam, you people shall get that fact right.
No way religious leaders can be sanctioned to be dispossessing already poor people of their meager resources. Not in Islam.

Igbos will never endorse any Islamist act in the name of bridge building even if it means not ruling Nigeria forever. We have taken a strong everlasting stand against Islam.
Meanwhile, I don't see anything wrong with the the Chieftaincy title given to Sir Victor Umeh. It's a Traditional title not a religious one.
Except Atiju2019.

OK yeah no need of any English Language test. They only need at least a C6 in WAEC or a C4 in NECO, like I said they've already given me admission. But Loughborough isn't on the PTDF list of approved Institution. So have you confirmed that wouldn't be a problem? I sent wanna take any chances.

Did you just make that up?
Is it a coincidence that your pillars tally with the same five as Islam?
Though I can see someone trying to add the number six to your list.
Anyway I was expecting to see where it is stated that those are pillars of Christianity.

Wrong. The person u are talking to is talking about the asooke they are wearing.

Rich hausa Fulani just started wearing it recently. It's d new fad among the rich northern brides for 2015/2016 to wear the Yoruba iro & buba asooke, complete wt handfan. You can check bellanaija weddings to see this. Normal Hausa wedding before always had brides in lace skirt & blouse & elaborate scarf. Definitely NOT iro & buba & definitely NOT asooke. And those were definitely NOT copied from northerners. Dt is Yoruba attire.
OK thank you for the clarification, appreciate it.

Why do northerners dress like yoruba...most not all??
Or why do Yoruba dress like northerners?
You should know the two had centuries long of contact and cultures are copied and transferred. But the deciding argument is that civilization moved Southward, hence more effect of northern culture in the south than the other way round.

Anyways they both have similar ancestry.
Well its been a long time history long before TV. Sokoto Caliphate had man extensive contact with India for hundred of years through Islam. So naturally the women look up to Indians for beauty passion trends.
The result is what you see in that pic.

The OP in his usual Islamophobic drive is actually gibing credit to Muslims.
1. That in a country of over 90% Muslim population a Christian can become a governor.
2. His source of biased blog itself mentioned that the accusation is more political than it has to do with Islam.
4. Your source fail to mention the Quranic verse and the context he used it.
5. He is been tried in COURT! that's the peak of civilization, and both sides are peacefully protesting.
Go get another news.

There are true first class materials with critical thinking abilities, and there are those who are very good at memorizing answer to questions and end up getting high CGPA. Unfortunately most first class graduates belong to the second category.

@dmainman pls how strict are they referring the course and school?
I have 3 offers already but non of the courses are listed exactly on their sites. They are;
MSc Sustainable Chemical Engineering at Newcastle.
MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering with Info Tech & Management (my favorite) at Loughborough University
and MSc Chemical & Petroleum Engineering at University of Bradford.
As you can see only Newcastle University is among the schools they listed on their website.
Please what are my chances or should I just apply for a new course that is on the lsit?

Anyway, this thread is about Christmas.
OK Good luck with that.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did We Start Celebrating Christmas? by EazyMoh(m): 10:38pm On Dec 13, 2016
Lol! Pastor alBHAGDADI better for you to direct your frustrations to the myriad of jargons in your religion instead of obsessing yourself with Islam to the extent of driving your moniker from one of its cities. btw it's spelt Albaghdadi.
Christmas is one of pagan practices introduced when Christianity was formated to conform to pagan practice of Constantine as you rightly stated, same with many aspects even at the core of the Christian faith. Too bad non of you is ready to even attempt correcting it like calling Jesus by his real name for starters.

As for him winning again, it's impossible instead there would be anarchy in the land.

Tinubu made a mistake of polishing and selling him to his people
How is his wining impossible?

If you guys can't support bright minds and intellectuals from the south, left with a choice btw Atiku and Buhari, I'd mobilize for Atiku cos he's light years ahead of that nonentity called Buhari in all facets. Atiku is liberal, moderate and a core nationalist. Buhari is not bendable to divergent suggestions on economic issues different from what he already knows; has an inclination towards socialist and communist tendencies which is not good for the type of country like ours.

Anyway I don't need to convince you but be rest assured that Buhari won't be relected and he wld be lucky if he stays in Aso Rock till 2019. There are so many 'traitors' in his party that are clandestinely working against him and wld show face at the right time.

Buhari is a serious liability to Nigeria
Lol!
It's been long since I saw an anti-PMB like you.
Unfortunately for you PMB is highly likely to continue till 2023.
Up till today there is no viable opposition party and Atiku is highly unlikely to Decamp from APC. This brings to the final option of primary election. Remember Atiku wasn't even the first runner up last time, not to talk of defeating PMB as incumbent for APC'S ticket. It's near impossible.

I asked simple questions like:

These questions as u know, particularly the ones in bold, cannot be answered in the affirmative because it boils down to sick n weak institutions that do not work. U can change governments as frequently as underwear but the moment the euphoria wears off, it will remain same and worse if institutions cannot be effectively independent of powerful individuals such as Presidents.

That has been the failing of the leadership of this country since d military invasion of ds country especially from the 70's when real rot started to take root n fester till date.
We have to start somewhere. Corrupt judges were arrested people were defending them. A corrupt politician is arrested his kinsmen are protesting....
Of course fight against corruption doesn't start and end with PMB, but at least his tempo (or even more) could be sustained by a successor from his party. An opposition snatching power would set the corruption fight in reverse.
The question about police and whatever is irrelevant, because people do wrong because there isn't any consequences to their actions.
Politics › Re: Corrupt Nigerians Waiting For Buhari To Leave Office To Continue Looting — Sagay by EazyMoh(m): 9:20pm On Dec 12, 2016
freeze001:
Is it a party that loots or the individuals that operate under a party? If it is by voting PDP or not, why is the party not on trial rather individuals are being investigated, arrested and prosecuted? If it is by PDP what happens to former PDP members now in APC? Do the letters 'APC' have some kind of cleansing power?

Is it not obvious that one of the major things we keep getting wrong is empowering persons rather than institutions? Why then should the presence or absence of Buhari determine continuation or reduction of corruption? Even with him there how much corruption has been dealt with? Has the police stopped harassment and collection of bribes from road users and ppl they arrest? Have contracts started being awarded transparently? Is it not the same cronyism and man know mam? Do we suddenly have better health care now that he has 'stopped' corruption? Is nepotism we see today not the height of corruption? What has happened to money disbursed for IDPs in his own domain?

Think and reason responsibly please, there's nothing special about Buhari, he's as dirty as every other politician.
You are entitled to your own opinion. But what we are saying is that there is a subconscious mindset that change of administration brings.
When IBB toppled Buhari his argument was that Buhari was too stiff and people need not to be forced to shun corruption and be disciplined. The result is the unprecedented looting of Nigeria by IBB administration. Same thing would happen if opposition (which is basically PDP) wins. They'd jettison any fight against corruption and fresh looting will carry a new dimension as this Prof rightly said.

I concur 1000%
That's why voting PDP in the future would be the worst thing we can ever do to this country it will only embolden looters.

soulpeppersoup:
People have done that and it had happened. The problem I see you having is that you don't understand both faith and supernatural interventions.

Faith does not give time but it assures certainty. That you command a mountain to move does not mean with faith it will move immediately. It means with faith it is bound to move if not now but certainly later.

Jesus said to a blind man go to that pool and wash your eyes. The bible reported that he returned seeing not when he was going nor washing.

Faith is all about completing a circle of given instructions.
In summary non of you have that faith. Good to know.
