Yeah. Applied early in July, program is early September. No reply at all from them.

I didn't get any mail stating that my EA has bn approved. Rather I logged into the CGI portal then clicked on reschedule appointment ( my normal routine since they refused to respond to my EA) and luckily I saw 28th July omo I immediately rescheduled my own

Placed a call across to Abuja Embassy this morning to follow up with my EA request and the call rep told me Abuja is closed for this week. So if you change to Abuja, your case might not be reviewed at all this week regardless. I'll advise you patiently wait for Lagos this week if you have applied already. Best!

Regular dates are opening for Lagos, I got July 23, just be checking anytime.

Normal appointment is September 21.

Program start date is August 5. Sent feedback and email yet no feedback. I guess the volume of requests is much for them

Mine is August 5th. I just applied on Monday coz I only got GA on Friday last week. Please let me know when you get feedback.

I cancelled my Lagos appointment first, then booked regular appointment in Abuja, then requested for emergency appointment.

Yes I filled a new DS160 for Abuja then updated it on my CGI profile.

Yes my EA was approved. They responded after 6 days (weekend included)

For Contact Person in the U.S, I can only fill either the name of an individual or Organization Name. If I uncheck "Do Not Know" box for one, the other automatically checks itself and blank out. Please confirm this is not peculiar to me.

Only the initial of my other name was written on my I-20 (Firstname and Lastname are fully spelt). Although passport name on same document is written in full including my other name. When I wanted to pay for SEVIS Fee, I saw an instruction that the name entered should be exactly as it appears on your Form I-20 or DS-2019. Can I proceed with the payment with my full name as it is on DS-160 or I should pend the action until the name on I-20 is corrected?

For DS-160, please help answer the following:

1. Tribe/Clan: Yes or No. Filled Yes and indicated Yoruba but someone said I should change it to no.
2. Mum&Dad Date of Birth: I don't know. Hope there's no consequence putting as " Do not Know"
3. Education: Can I fill in my secondary school?

For the sponsors, I have GA from school (Full tuition waiver with stipend totalling 28k) but with a deficit of 12k (living expenses and other fees) which I propose to offset with personal funds. Should I then say it is self sponsored?

1. The exact duration it states on your i20. You can convert to months and fill in, in your ds160.

2. The person, you would say it’s your sponsor during your interview, MUST CORRESPOND with what’s on your DS160 as Trip Sponsor and on your I20 as sponsor.

If the person name isn’t being State on your i20, then you’re good.

But TRIP SPONSOR === Sponsor Sponsor

2. Person/Entity Paying for Your Trip (Travel Information): Is this for travel expenses alone or tuition inclusive? If the later, please advise if the best option for student with GA? Self, Other Company/Organization or Employer in the US?

Hello Everyone,

I just got GA offer today. I requested for I-20 reflecting the funding and I have gotten the electronic copy. My school will resume on August 2nd. Is there any hope of getting an expedited appointment to meet up with the timeline?
