In our days of little beginning, when all we offered the universe was our dreams, propelled by a passion for excellence, our gaze was fixed on leading a successful life and impacting the world around us, positively!

Education came to my rescue, and aided my release from what would have become a generational trap in the dynasty of poverty. There are some, as we had then, who escaped this trap through trade and ingenious craft. In my case education was the saving grace.

Of course, the potent force in education, when properly harnessed, is still capable of rescuing millions of the World's poor. In the same vein, a robust MSME and conducive business environment is critical in the fight against roving poverty.

In deploying this two, one must be conscious of excellence and critical about mediocrity. These are the options before us, the choice is totally the individual's to make.

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on National Assembly matters and ecological projects, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu has resigned both as special adviser and a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), IgbereTV reports.

In a resignation letter he sent to his Ikpe-Nsu ward chairman of APC in Ehime Mbano LGA. dated 11/11/2021, he expressed his displeasure with both the State Government and the Federal Government both of which are APC controlled, stating that both levels of Government cannot guarantee the future of the youth. He said that he therefore does not want to be counted amongst those who destroyed the Youths.

Austin Nwachukwu is a former member of the Federal House Representatives, where he represented Okigwe South Federal constituency comprising of; Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo local government areas, between 2007 to 2011.

His resignation letter read;

Dear Sir,

RESIGNATION OF MY MEMBERSHIP OF ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS (APC)

With utmost humility, I wish to write you about my decision to resign as a member of APC henceforth. After due consultations with my family and political Allies, I have come to the realization that it will serve no meaningful political interest to remain in APC for a day longer. It will therefore, amount to political suicide for me, a former member of the National Assembly to continue to follow a political pathway that will define my political doom with no foreseeable political advantage in terms of infrastructural development and empowerment of my people.

It is no longer a secret that the current political reality in Imo State and by Extension Nigeria cannot guarantee the future of our teeming youths. And I do not want to be counted as one of those who supported the regime that emasculated and destroyed the future of our youths.

I therefore, tender my resignation as a member of APC from today

henceforth.

Three Wedding Guests Reportedly Shot Dead In Afghanistan For Playing Music At Reception

The Taliban have revealed that three guests were shot dead at a wedding reception in eastern Afghanistan on Friday night, October 29 'because music was being played', IgbereTV reports.

The attack was carried out by three assailants who claimed to be members of the Taliban before opening fire, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told reporters at a press conference Sunday, October 31.

According to Mujahid, the gunmen attacked a reception taking place in the Surkh Rod district of Nangarhar Province.

Local reports say at least two people had been killed and 10 others injured.
The Taliban spokesman added that it was not allowed to kill anyone for playing music, and an investigation will start to establish whether the incident was due to a personal problem or disagreement.

"In the ranks of the Islamic Emirate no one has the right to turn anyone away from music or anything, only to try to persuade them. That is the main way," Mujahid told the press conference, according to AFP.

Mujahid later posted in a series of Twitter posts that the suspects had claimed to be Taliban members, and had asked for the music to be stopped before firing before opening fire.

He also added two people connected to the incident had been arrested, but a third had escaped.

“TROOPS FOIL KIDNAP OF BISHOP OF ORLU CATHOLIC DIOCESE

DAWN Sector 3 have foiled an attempted kidnap and robbery of Most Reverend Augustine Ukwuoma at the Orlu Diocesan Catholic Secretariat, BSC Road, Orlu Imo State.

The troops in response to a distress call at about 2:30am on Sunday 31 October 2021, swiftly moved to the scene forcing the assailants to take to their heels thereby abandoning their mission. The Bishop, his Secretary and Assistant Secretary are safe and unhurt.

Troops will continue to deny freedom of action to members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra/Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) and other criminal gangs operating within the sector especially as the elections in Anambra State draws nearer and during the yuletide season.

Members of the public are advised to report suspicious movement of criminals as well as hide outs of the outlawed IPOB/ESN to law enforcement agencies as the group is only out to intimidate, steal and kidnap law-abiding citizens for ransom.

It is with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to a unified and developed Nigeria that I have decided to re-enter the political arena and join the fray of active politicking again. I have been very frustrated about the state of our country and the manner the ruling party APC has virtually returned and reduced Nigeria to the rubbles of Stone Age. I have decided to stop my perpetual lamentations and join hands with other patriotic Nigerians to rescue our nation from the brink of a calamitous collapse. Therefore, in line with practicing what I have preached for a few years now, I believe that only by joining mainstream politics and becoming a member of one of the leading opposition parties can I hope to make such meaningful difference as I have been demanding of others.

I have consulted widely. And it is clear to me that given the dangerous and disastrous drift that our Nation has experienced in the past six years, the only Party from which amends can be made to rectify our situation is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). This accords with my vehement opposition to the policies and practices of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its leadership, which has denuded our country of everything we hold dear - National Unity, Cohesion, Security, Economic prosperity, Educational advancement, Social infrastructure, and above all, our cherished moral values.

It is deeply saddening and regrettable that some of the biggest and landmark achievements recorded under the PDP administration have been diluted, wasted or diminished by the present APC Government. I really don’t like issues with institutions, but I’m so ashamed our justice system is no longer respected and our government would watch it’s institutions be ordered around by someone who feels these institutions can be bought with a prize. Last Friday the court ordered i serve everyone again on the newspapers , ( punch, sun and Thisday ) Mind you , everyone received service since June except the Fuse master who evaded service, so i had to go for substituted service.
it was done on yesterday’s papers and still this morning, my security calls to tell me that same people are at my gate. This isn’t stopping any soon right? . Ive done petitions to government bodies involved with checking the activities of this enforcement agencies but still, this has continued.
Well this woman won’t stop fighting either. My kids or we continue dancing naked till a sane person in this country realizes we all look mad in a naked dance off .
