Not Christianity. I don't follow religion blindly. The bible is the most proven in all of history. There's no witness to the Quran and all the "supposed miracles" of prophet Mohammad. But there were hundreds of witness who came forward (long after Jesus had died) to prove his credibility. It is an established fact.

I'm not trumping anyone's religion. Facts speak for themselves.

Proven facts? Witnesses? Are you this ignorant? You mean stories told by your fellow man is what you call fact. Because the white man told you so abi? What about African witnesses that came forward and told us about our origins. E.g oduduwa, oranmiyan etc. I bet you will call those lies because they were told by black men. Shame on you

You don't know the person I quoted but I do.

Moreover, I didn't crucify their religion. Mohammed was a pedophile and a rapist. Its a known fact. All Islamic scholars know this. Its not new. Its like calling an African a black man. Nothing hypocritical there.

Faith is not all I have. I have a saviour.

They also have a savior. Abeg go siddon. Nothing makes your faith/religion better than theirs. Both religions depend on FAITH with no explanations but for you to simply have FAITH. Hence, no reason, anyone should trump the other. Abeg, come, and go, and sleep. tongue

Amberon11:
Tell that to your pedophile that has kept the entire Islamic world in stone age.

I think it is rather immature and very hypocritical to judge another religion/group/faith.

You realize that the same FAITH that you have that makes you believe in YOUR own religion is the same FAITH that those that believe in the religion that you are crucifying have? All you both have is FAITH. What makes you think YOUR own FAITH is superior to theirs?

Notice I never said "Christian heaven or hell". I said hell and heaven. There's no denominational hell.

That being said, 99.9999% of Muslims who have visited heaven or hell saw what matched the "biblical" descriptions of heaven and hell. They never had experiences matching the Islamic descriptions of heaven and hell. That invariably explains why no one has ever seen the 72 virgins and neither has anyone seen Mohammed. In fact they believe Mohammed is currently in hell, hence their prayers for the prophet to be granted jannah (heaven) by Allah.

But majority of those who have had divine visitations have seen Jesus.

Yes! reincarnation happens but I won't go into details due to your carnality as it would be pointless.

Anything else??

Stop lieing. No one has seen heaven or hell. It is all in your brain.

Politics / Re: Crude Oil Drilling In Lake Chad Basin To Start Soon by EbolaParasite: 12:48am On Jul 10, 2016
princey83:

I believe there is oil locked down in most places. Its the technology to bring it out that keeps improving.
E.g very close to where i work (not Nigeria), It has just been discovered that pumping carbon dioxide back into the formation increases the yield/output of oil rigs in the field.
(fracking but by using co2).
fracking sef dey develop.

Anyway, Oil is being abandoned for green energy, so income from it is going to be short lived anyway.
Coal was the main source of energy before discovery of crude, now crude is being set aside for green energy. e.g Norway is stopping the sale of cars using refined products of crude oil in 2025. Funny thing is that Norway has lots of oil too.

CO2 injection is not new. Tertiary recovery is actually becoming quite efficient. Denbury resources based out of Texas has been very successful with CO2 in east texas. With regards to Oil, forget all that green story. Until you find an alternative way to produce the feedstock, in commercial quantities, for making plastics, petroleum jelly, vaseline, plastic bags aka naija nylon bags etc, the list goes on, oil will remain d go to guy. Sure dependence on oil for car transportation may reduce but oil will still be here.

And that translates to Geologists running the show? There are several lawyers and non engineering majors that are CEOS of E&P's in the US. Does it mean lawyers are now the go to guys for those companies? You do realize, the MD you mentioned reports to HQ right? The real person calling the shots for Chevron is in San Ramon. Guess what, he is neither a pet engr or geologist so there goes your theory. Feel free to Google Chevron CEO. You think all the decisions are made in naija?

Directional Drilling what's the display of ignorance there? I'll not glorify you with the explanation here ok, but I like your sense of humor cuz you got just one 'like'

Compressor stations,; outdated currently cuz our natural gas got a lot of pressure to travel far, crude on the other hand from the Chad basin which I know nothing of its constituent gas or pressure unless you're telling you did the PVT matching and analysis for itit grin gringrin

Guy, let it rest. Leave the technical part to the experts. No be by wetin you read for textbook. No need mixing midstream with upstream.

Even if they find it bros. It won't even be one-tenth of what's in the Niger Delta.the chad basin is a textbook case of an intracratonic sag. By the way, when geologist talk, geophysicist and pet engr sharrap. That's why Exxon and chevron are run by geologists.

You are right on the way the govt is going. All jokers. Totally stupid people. My younger brother in 300lvl thinks better than these people. It's obvious they are just like Jonathan, but with a better propaganda machine.

Excuse you? ExxonMobil and Chevron run by Geologists? Please don't misyarn. Stick to your isopachs and continue mapping. LOL. Let's see sha. The regolith is thicker on the Chadian sector of the basin that was a huge reason oil was only found in the Chadian sector. And also, the chad basin slopes into the Chadian sector. Former R&grin at NNPC I've spoken to have said there is nothing on the Nigeria sector, now Kachikwu says they will soon start drilling. In fact when I was a student Exxon Mobil staffs came around for UAP and said there is nothing there, a guy that was on the team that discovered crude on the Chadian sector said there is no crude there (in the Nigerian sector). The truth about the chad basin is that intracratonic sag basins are NEVER prolific producers of crude oil, unless the chad basin has morphed into a frontier basin after some 3decades of exploration. All I can say to Kachikwu is "Drill baby, drill". After 4 or 5 dry wells, eye go clear.

LOL at dry holes. Funny enough, all the best Geophysicists in the world have a handful of dry holes in their resume. They carefully fail to mention them. They only brag about discoveries.
On a more serious note, the statement "there is no oil in the Nigerian sector" is wrong. What you should say is "until" oil is discovered. You cannot say for a fact that there is no oil. With 5D seismic and all the techy advancements, it won't be long before pesin go hit pay.
Anyway, the real question is why would a government that wants to diversify the economy, decide to explore for OIL? Same ol story. Depending on oil and hope prices come back up. This govt get any plan B at all?

Anyway

Some people are so naïve. What is the big deal if Ooni said Jesus is his father. I was born and breed in Ife and ife is more or less a Christian environment not as some of the aliens view it. We have churches in every nook and crannies of Ile-Ife. The very king is a Christian right from the infant and it will be disastrous of him to forsake what u believe knowing fully well that the throne is temporary and heaven is permanent. God bless Ooni. He shall live long on the throne. Ade a pe Lori oba to mo Jesu.

Hypocrisy at best. If he doesn't believe in Yoruba tradition, he shouldn't have accepted the JOB. If he believes Jesus is his savior, he should have stayed in lagos or wherever and let someone that believes in Yoruba culture and not a white man's culture ascend the throne. Jesus is for the white man.

The truth is we have a messed up economy
We all depend on oil sells and few solid minerals to bring dollars to us... And we forgot to save... And now the oil money is no more coming and since we must feed we need dollar to buy foreign goods... This will lead to devaluation of the naira.... That's it
We had no savings (Like OBJ did for yaradua) so what do we do??... We have to endure first of all...
Then the next thing is to try and decrease our dollar demand and how can we do that.. By trying to produce what we need here... And what are they
Petrol, rice, wheat, glass, Cloths, sugar ... All this we can produce here and if we do that's the dollar demand will drop
We also need to produce things we can export to make more dollars... And this I think we can do and the only logical thing I can come up with that is in great demand is ethanol

Here is the plan
Government should as a matter of urgency acquire 5 Million hectares of unfarmed land... We plant cassava and sweet potato and this will will yield over
100 million tons of cassava and potatoes... This will give u 15 billion litres of ethanol valued at around 10 billion dollars... China can loan us the farming equipment and fermentation plants.... And we use this to fund next year capital projects
Repeat this year and use the money to build railway sea ports... Power plant sand in the next 10 years we sale to individuals... This can help us before we reposition our self
Thanks and God bless... This my own one kobo

I am sick and tired of seeing the statement in Bold. We don hear. The past government didn't save, they didn't do this, they didn't do that. Can we please move on. The big question is what is the current government doing to solve the problem besides pointing fingers?

Trust me, if an average Nigerian has access to the kind of funds she has, they will do the same thing. She is in the business to make money. You need money to acquire land. Only Nigerians in Nigeria. Abroad this would be a hit. Not all cities have an abundance of Nigerian restaurants or shops [/quote

I was talking about Nigerians abroad. Most people would rather cook their own stew. If you're going to cook the rice, why not cook the stew?
Of course, for some, this is a welcome idea. I just don't think it will be a huge hit. We already have all sorts of canned stew availabe already. Some people even use chinese hot sauce for naija rice abroad. Naija food hasn't reached there yet. Maybe the indomie generation will welcome it. The 80's folk still prefer home cooked stew that is fresh.

This is good for the Nigerian economy. Do you guys have any idea the amount of money being sent outside the shores of Nigeria every year in the name of scholing abroad? Such money is better spent in Nigeria and it would help prop up the Nigerian economy.

If we are in support of home-grown manufacturing, I don't see why we should not be in support of home-grown graduates.

People are more poised than ever to send their kids abroad because of ignorant statements like yours
They are scared their kids will be so ignorant. You are a classic case. You only show more reasons for them to encourage their kids to stay abroad.
Do you realize the amount of FOREX nigeria gets from the diaspora every year? Are you aware that it is in the billions of dollars?

Not so sure though! Unless this is marketed to non-nigerians. Most nigerians like to cook their own food especially stew/soup. Welcome to the land of opportunities.
Even if you graduate, you will still stay here for a long time before you start thinking of going back

America is the only and best country in the whole wide world, other countries are just local governments

The $1,500 you're talking about is financial aid you get from your school every semester, it's a free money.
You can get up to $14,000 every year just for going to school. Nobody go ask you to pay it back

Please everyone ignore this poster. Don't be misled. Financial aid is for residents and citizens alike. You can't get it as an F-1 visa holder.

Several. Some people buy their transit tickets when they land in the USA. There's nothing that says you must have a flight straight to school. Some people even choose to use Greyhound bus. Hello house! sad

Actually, I just got admitted to study at the masters level in Oregon come fall; I have also gotten my visa. My plan is to jet out by August 17, first, to visit New Jersey (I've booked my ticket to Newark already), spend few days with my uncle and then book a flight report to school.

The issue now is the Port of Entry palava, as I'm scared the officers might be concerned about me not having a ticket to Oregon... Although my port of entry would be Boston, cos that's where Emirates would drop me before connecting with a local flight to NJ; I want to know the house views on this risky waka of mine and also learn from others experiences.

Is it also true they'll know I'm going to NJ without asking me?

Please help ! Thanks.....

No issues. As long as you report to school by the school deadline, you can go anywhere first. No one will prevent you from seeing family before going to school.
