Gerrard59: I appreciate all the responses, including the ones that said I am a security man in the US and the tribal slur that I am an IPOB because I don't believe in the Fulanised Nigerian army (what if I am from Kajuru nko?)
Hopefully, this thread would serve as a template for moneyed folks in the abroad who plan or wish to return to Nigeria someday.
Additionally, the responses have proven my belief that the greatest achievement of black men especially Nigerian men is to dangle their smelly preek around while chanting alfa meils alfa meils alfa meils!!! If you read through, very few suggested these rich people should try to change the system for the better. I mentioned insecurity as a major issue even if I am not affected, but rather than suggest these moneyed folks try to change the system so that the farmers in Zango-Kataf can cultivate their crops in peace, they suggested hiring security personnel as the antidote to insecurity. When I said Nigerian men have failed their women, I was not lying. The responses prove it.
The average black person esp man is inherently greedy, wicked, shortsighted, and a poor planner. Thus, I don't believe black people can build a functioning society nor can they manage one if given on a platter of gold. The ones in Bermuda, Bahamas etc are exceptions, not the norm. Damn. This hits hard |

yomifola: Sorry house... I don't really get this proof of fund of a thing.
Can someone try to explain to me more better?.. please
Now this is my question: my POF is yet to mature, I think it will mature in two weeks time. After the 28days my POF will be given to me then I can use it for my CAS... So .. I'm sure the money used in running the POF for the stipulated period might have been deducted back .. will it affect my visa process when applying for VISA later on or the POF confirmation will just be btw the stipulated date being printed for visa processing From my own understanding; it's better to have the funds sitting in your account until the visa is approved and even beyond Remember it's your funds and should have it handy in case they want to do a check |

Highlyfavoured3: Since the UK Embassy verified the POF, what then happens if one has lesser amount that what was on the acct statement used for the application? I mean refunding money to source after printing statement of acct. Refunding money to source ? Im not an expert but I think that could be risky |

mimilyrics: It's for faster visa processing. You pay standard (usually 15 working days), priority (usually 5 working days) or super priority (24 hours). any idea how much super priority costs ? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 8 by EconFinance: 1:27pm On May 18, 2023 |
mimilyrics: 1. Depends on the school and the number of applicationsthat they receive. It can usually be anything from 1 week to 8 weeks or more.
2. Yes depending on how fast the school responds and processes your CAS + your payments processes (Form A vis-a-vis black market or online payment), visa processing timeline (there can sometimes be delays from UKVI but a priority payment might make it faster barring issues with your application).
3. 6 months from date of test/result issue. Thank you I'm working with black market Not banking on form a at all What's priority payment though Pls I am curious |

ChukwuObe: Before you vote on Saturday, please ask yourself as to whether you can justify the resources your family spent on your education if it is really worth it after all and ask whether you indeed just went to school or were genuinely educated when you honestly answer these questions below: Who has the best verified records of achievements among the leading candidates? Why should you vote for a man under whose administration could not conduct a single Local government election for almost 8 years? Why should I vote for a man that did not care for ASUU to go on strike for more than 7 months? And who to told you that he will not do the worst if elected as president for the ASUU at national level? Why should I vote for a man that sent many souls to their graves through doctors strike for more than a year – 13 months. Can Nigeria survive such a wicked leader? And why should I vote for a man that increased the poverty level of his people from 20% to 54% as attested to by his state governor? Why should I vote for a man that laundered his state treasury to Panama to fund his family business while many of his people are migrating to other parts of the country because of poverty Only indomie generation that just went to school but never educated will not analyse the candidates and judge them from their past records. Adults don’t get deceived easily. No wonder many of them could not pass job interviews. Do you remember and think about Akwuzu SARS leading to so many dead bodies dumped at the river How could you forget so soon the corruption involving over N250million caught with a candidate entourage in Lagos, Nigeria if you are not an indomie generation? Why should a reasonable youth vote for a man that commercialise education from primary school at the time many governors were running education in their state free? Haba! Only fake man of God or stupid orangutan will support an Ipob candidate whose leader has told his foolish followers that any Igbo attending a church being led by a Yoruba man is not fit to be a human being May we never labour in vain. Lame |

gforce5: Exactly. Finally, someone gets it. When I was at the Nigerian Law School, a lot of those rich ajebutter kids who studied abroad were jealous of those who had foreign passports. VERY jealous. With all their parents influence, they were stuck in Nigeria while those with British, American and Canadian passports moved back to their base when they realized that the salaries wasn't enough to sustain their lifestyle. Even now, many rich people have missed important conferences and meetings because of the limitations of the Nigerian passport. Many lawyers could not make the International Bar Conference in the States due to this very problem. Yup EXACTLY |

gforce5: Let me say first and foremost that I appreciate that this post has reached front page. I didn't expect it at all. Secondly, for those usual "patriots" talking about "no place but home and being a second class citizen abroad", no where did I mention that you must stay abroad or run away from Nigeria. All i said is that with all the problems Nigerians are facing traveling for business, tourism or other reasons, they should try and get a second passport to make life easier for themselves as just having money is not enough. Dual nationality is not a new phenomenom. Celebs all around the world have it. Most Hollywood celebs have dual nationality. Many Brits are applying for second passports to grant them unlimited access to the EU market. Most South American footballers have second passports. Messi has Spanish citizenship. Do you think that he will renounce it in the name of "patriotism"?The problem with most Nigerians is that they are very close-minded and myopic. They refuse to learn about what's happening in the world. They refuse to accept that we live in a globalized world.
I never said that you shouldn't make money. In fact, money and second passport goes hand in hand. The people who have the two are the ones who actually enjoy Nigeria the most. They make up the jet set. Let me tell you something, a lot of rich kids in this country who don't have second passports are envious of those who have because they don't have the same limitations. Your last paragraph is so true. Rich kids with Nigerian passports alone envy their peers that can just breeze in and breeze out Regardless of how much money you THINK you have That must sting you a lil bit |
