Godsonkemz: You didnt see any European country other than UK that doesn't expect one to rise. If you have two cars, you must explain how you acquired the wealth. I would rather remain in Nigeria hustling than to travel to UK, except I want to relocate to Canada from UK.
My godfather, a chief gynaecologist and retired university prof who owns and operates a hospital in Nigeria travelled to UK to join his wife who has been there for decades, choosing a simple lifestyle in a paid apartment. A landlord of many houses in Nigeria but a tenant in UK. If you are generous before relocating to UK, UK will eventually make you become stingy. What's wrong with the second paragraph though? Cos I see nothing wrong |

SmartPolician: In life, you just need money to make money. Whether you are traveling through study or work route, you need money to prove to the government that you can afford to live a decent life in their country.
If you want to move to Europe, Australia or America, you need a lot of money for it. In the end, what we experience today is that we are increasingly losing our middle class or the best of us. This trend will continue |

MT: Op, many people use kids to console themselves after they have seen how miserable they have become abroad.
Kids have their lives, you have yours. How many parents can even afford the good private schools abroad?. How many percentage of our kids are in grammar school abroad?. Most schools that Nigerian kids attend abroad are far below average but the parents don't even know in as much as there are white kids attending same schools.
How many parents can eat in good restaurants with their kids? How many parents can even afford to travel with their families to other countries for vacationing? Most Nigeria families abroad do not even enjoy the goodies of life abroad, they can only look at them but can't afford to pay to experience them.
Don't get tripped by "I am doing this for my kids" scheme. A child who spent his formative years in Nigeria has a huge head start over same who did in Nigeria That's a fact that I have seen over the decades |

Is there no way I can bring the date forward or something ? |
Romance › Re: Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Date Uk-based Nigerian Women by EconFinance: 3:38pm On Jul 24, 2023 |
pansophist: I have this friend that lives in Germany (lets call him John). I connected John with a Nigerian girl in the UK in 2019. They matched and vibe well but as soon as she knew that he is not a German citizen or with PR, she just jilt the guy.
I was in the UK last summer and met with her. She was still single. She asked about John, and I told her that he is fine, done with his masters in engineering and works for Bosch. He is also a German citizen now.
It was few weeks later after my holiday John told me that she has been disturbing him since for a relationship, citing all kinds of excuses as reason why she suddenly cut off. Excuses such as mental health, dealing with personal and family issues etc.
But John is not an idiot. Anyways, John already moved on and will get married soon to his Ivorian/French fiance. I will be a best man for sure on his wedding. Na my sure paddi.
What I've seen in the UK few times I was there is the need to outsmart the other. The girls won't be with a guy that is just coming up. They date/marry for interest. That's the story of most.
They don't think ahead. If you do Uber today, then in their mind, you'll do Uber forever. It's either a ready-made or nothing. Working together with a guy and build up is almost an abomination. They don't build, the move in.
Whatever. Very interesting |

Calitoscassius: I have never experienced any of these, maybe co's i was born and bred in London E17.
Op, go to pubs, nighclubs, attend colleagues birthday paties, try wetherspoon pubs, yes it can be lonely in the UK sometimes for people who came to live here. Even the people who were born here experience so much loneliness that is why most drink alchohol daily or smokes something. Some work allday and night just to overcome loneliness, some have kids so as to overcome loneliness, Op if you want to have kids to overcome loneliness i will be happy to hook up with you. I am not looking for relationship but i am desparate to have a chilld or children.. i have met many nigerians doctors, psysiotherapists and nurses here in England they appear to be lonely too, even when i invite them to the pub for drinks they don't turn up., one IGBO man a doctor from Enugu i met in Tescos i gave him my number but everytime i call him he is talking about cooking soup or making garri or working i even wanted to introduce him to one of my white woman colleague from work but he couldn't even be bothered to turn up, he keep saying that he will bring his former girlfriend from nigeria, even his former nigerian girlfriend seems to have moved on, i was like guy women plenty here in our island here, why would you wanna bring a girlfriend from Enugu? He is always on watsaap with his Enugu friends, i said to him mate! Forget dem people and start blending in with people over here, start making new friends even in his work, start forking your doctor friends. Problem also is, he doesn't drink alcohol, more than half of Brits goes to the PUB, Pubs are part of British culture.
He didn't even understand the terms of his 2 years work visa, when he told me he might move to london, his visa is tied to his NHS work on our island he cannot just leave, he even said he might move to America from here, i was like yea! Right! How are you gonna do that with your 2 years UK work visa?
He tells me he went to church to look for other nigerians, (me i am not religious, i don't believe in God) i even organised white girls for him but he is afraid to fork them saying it is a sin . eventually i deleted his number.
One other nigerian woman i know was so lonely one day i visited her in her room, without notice she just took her cloths off and said Kings would you like to fork me? i was like come on! She has already told her landlord and flat mates that i am her cousin, i cannot fork her now.
There are so many women or men to choose from over here, if you want to be noticed you must put yourself out and be ready for lots of relationships disappointments. No body dey look anybody face, people will not come in your room or house to make friends with you, you have to invite them to come.
Op, i mean it, you and I can hook up and make babies. Just email me, Good luck Wow wow |
