The SE took it personal. They dropped their differences and ensured victory for GEJ. They could not afford a Buhari win. The SE suffered a lot from the Buhari military regime thus the passion that was displayed by the voters.

His actions further underscored the fact that he is hardly a democrat. He couldn't break away from his old self. That was evident in his lopsided campaign, his poor negotiation skills with ACN, etc. He also showed signs of inability to handle pressures. I guess he would not have cried that day if he didn't have a meeting through the night. It may sound trivial, but it is a huge issue. The man was obviously under a lot of pressure and he couldn't handle it.

Reminds me of the words of Prof. Wole Soyinka:

“Forget us the old brigade,” he urged. “We are spent and in any way, most of us are corrupted and many locked in their old ways. Let us just make a clean break from the past.”

Any body who has good analytical skills will figure out that Nigeria is at the edge of disintegration. What level of hatred is against the North fron the South. A situation where by the CPC candidate cannot get even 5% of the southern votes while winning about 80% of his nothern ppl is alarming. My advice to the North is to seek autonomy and build our self. Is better we stay for 10 -20yrs with no oil and find a sustainable way for our selves than to be in this type of situation. What have we done to them to deserve this hatred - is it based on religion, ethnicity or what? I am very very discourage with the way they treated us. If GMB was a bad candidate say like Atiku I wont mind. But someone that everybody knows that he can take this nation to the promise land but due to sentiments they turned their back and voted for uncertainty. Sorry friends from the south on this page we love you and he do appreciate your courageous support. My statement doesnt cut accross all but majority fall under this.

Lagos has some of the most informed individuals in Nigeria
GEJ is a friend of the entertainment industry and a strong advocate of freedom. Remmber Lagos is home to all the DBanj's and all the Silverbirds etc.
It is the most "detribalized" part of Nigeria.
It has a good mix of different ethnicities.

The Final Result is: GEJ = 66%    Ribadu =  22%      Buhari  =  10%

Surprisingly, my projection was within +/-3% accuracy. Wow!

I mean seriously?? C'mmon! How in the hell did PDP get 1 million votes in Abia and Anambra states? You mean to tell me that an Ibo man will leave his Okrika  clothes and fake goods shop to go line up for hours just to vote? Hard for me to believe that, unless an Ibo man he's being compensated for it i don't believe it. And by the way there are not up to 1 million adult age Ibo guys left in all of East combined, they have all relocated to Lagos to sell Okrika clothes and fake goods. INEC c'mmon, let's be real here.

Same way the people who live there registered to vote. They didn't register for fun. Anyway, if you are not satisfied, take away 30% of GEJ votes from SS and SE and underage votes from the North. We would still have GEJ as president.

Sensitivity analysis involves changing the variables of a system and monitoring the response of the system to the change. In this case, by varying the turnout, we can see if high or low turnout in particular areas would have changed the final outcome. We can even completely eliminate the votes of the so called "suspect" states and see if the same winner emerges. It's just a bunch of statistical calculations to further verify the credibility of the process.

Just for the fun of it, we can do a little sensitivity analysis by slashing off 50% of GEJ votes in the SS. I believe he will still win the election. I will try this when all the results are out. For now, using my election projection model, a SS turnout of 50% still puts GEJ well ahead in the lead. The victory in SW was very vital for GEJ.

Anyway, congratulations to Nigeria for making a strong statement to the world.

You will be disappointed, trust me.

assuming the voting population of the NE and NW is more than the ((SS and SE) x 2) and the SW votes were spilt into two then it is only logical for buahri to win

GEJ won by every standard. Look at the areas in Nigeria that represent Nigeria and have close to 90% credibility e.g. Abuja and Lagos. Is it not clear that the totality of NIGERIANS want GEJ? Anybody that cannot win Abuja and Lagos has a question mark. Whatever happened in the NW was cancelled out in SS and SE.

I tire for the man o. This election was the true definition of fair play. For every under age vote in the desert, there was an equal and opposite extra thumb print in the creek.

Buhari needed Ribadu to win the Southwest commandingly. I have always been of the opinion that the election will be decided in the Southwest. Buhari supporters please do not raise your blood pressure with over anticipation. I feel very horrible. I cannot be in denial anymore.

The Southwest factor that I could not answer before the election has been answered. Northwest and Northeast was going to vote Buhari. Northcentral was going to be split between Buhari and Jonathan with Jonathan getting a higher share. South South and South East was to go for Jonathan. The election was to be decided in the Southwest. Southwest has chosen Jonathan and they have given us our President for the next 4 years. People deserve the leaders they have and unfortunately, Nigeria deserves the Poverty Development Party.

Danjohn, I know you are a nice guy and you really mean well for Nigeria. So can we put it this way: We all pray that GEJ will deliver the goods. Let's come together and move the nation forward. With the new mix in government and the renewed belief in democracy, we will succeed together.
