In the SS, it is not fishy at all. No South Southerner would have traded that opportunity for anything. Take a trip to Bayelsa and do some research. The Lagos vote is enough to prove the point on its own.

Great. We should keep this in front of our eyes and continue to press forward for the delivery of these goods. We should also provide the needed support in our own way. Jarus, many nairalanders of the politics section are concerned about the whereabouts of aisha2. Last we heard from her was the morning after the alliance attempt between ACN and CPC. I hope everything is alright. She has always provided some nice moderating on the politics section. I and many others are missing her especially at this time. Kindly provide us with some updates.

I think it is a macro called "Beaf" that was used. It is designed specifically to target and destroy CPC votes. Seun tested the macro on nairaland before the election. On the election day, Beaf was installed on INEC's computers and in every INEC official's brain. Till now, the macro has not be traced.

GEJ and Jega have sent a strong message to the world by the conduct of this election.

Take Lagos for example, it is IMPOSSIBLE for any other human (even if it is Obama) to win an election against Fashola in the forthcoming governorship election. If after the election, candidates do not concede defeat or just shut up, they woud be seen as clowns. That is what Buhari is right now; A CLOWN!

Let's look at the implication of his foolish claim. He accepted the results in 14 states. Funny enough, GEJ had his 25% minimum from some states out of those included in his 'accepted' list. Add that to the remaining states in the south and that gives GEJ more than 24 states with minimum 25%. Secondly, if you consider the 22 states he rejected and do a statistical analysis, you will discover that GEJ would have still won with a minimum of 5 million votes margin if he got just 10% in the included NE/NW states, 30% in the NC states and 60% turnout in the SE/SS states. The result from SW states are completely indisputable. This does not even consider the millions of underage votes Buhari got in the north. This only goes to show that he is a stark illiterate with a "herd mentality". He doesn't even have a good statistician to make these simple calculations for him. What a shameless loser!

He thinks the yorubas are like his almajiris that Tinubu can control as he wills. He has also forgotten that Lagos is home to the entertainment industry that gave GEJ a massive support. Even ACN has not cried foul in Lagos. The guy mumu too much sha!

If he says people did not vote GEJ in the north, then whose house is being burnt? Why are churches being burnt in those states? Why are there PDP governors and appointees in those states?

The mumu stayed up all night trying to strike a deal with the same ACN and couldn't get it right. What is he whining about now? DEMENTED HYPOCRITE.

Thank you Nigeria. We did it! I knew we could, but seeing it come to fruition brings back the pleasant memory I had as a child listening on the radio as the Union Jack was lowered and the Green and White Flag raised on October 1st, 1960, our Independence Day. My dear brothers and sisters, today it is independence day for Nigeria yet again. Together we have said yes to one Nigeria. Together we have agreed to be our brother's keeper. Together we have spoken with one voice to say no to dichotomy. Together we have chosen a rebirth and as a Nigerian musical Icon once said;


                                                                 Together we shall win forever!

I have however received with great sadness the news of sporadic unrest in some parts of the country which are not unconnected with last Saturday’s elections.

I appeal to those involved to stop this unnecessary and avoidable conduct, more so at this point in time when a lot of sacrifice has been made by all the citizens of this great country in ensuring the conduct of free and fair elections.

It is with the deepest sense of responsibility that I call on all our political leaders especially the contestants to appeal to their supporters to stop further violence in the interest of stability, peace and well being of this great country.



As I said during the campaigns and now say again, I have no enemies to fight. Even at this hour, one of the finest hours of Nigeria, I want to pay tribute to Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd), a man I consider as a patriot per excellence and a man who I respect and never looked at as an opponent or a rival but as a partner in progress. To Major Gen. Buhari (Rtd) and all his supporters, I open up my arms wide in embrace and remind them that "this generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country than Nigeria. We shall remain here and salvage it TOGETHER".


I also salute Malam Nuhu Ribadu and recognize him today as a child of independence who has justified the act of independence and has proved by his gallant conduct as a Presidential candidate that the youth of Nigeria "have come of age". I am not surprised at Malam Ribadu's ability to inspire the youth. In fact, I desired his invigorating presence for Nigeria which was why I used every power at my disposal as President of Nigeria to bring equity to him causing him to feel secure enough to return to the land he loves so much and make him know that I, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, and the Nigeria nation appreciates him. I look forward to a future of synergistic collaboration between the two of us.


I also salute Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and all those who participated with me in this process. As General Yakubu Gowon once said, in a contest amongst brothers "there is no victor nor vanquished". We are all Nigerians and today all Nigerians are winners because we now know that North, South, East or West, Nigeria is best! GEJ

The Nigerian situation is different from that of Cote d'ivoire.

Having Lagos on that list is a clear pointer to the fact that they are clowns.

He campaigned with a sword because he is a terrorist and a typical blood sucking dictator. Just like Gbagbo and Gaddafi, he will not give up without the death of many innocent citizens. He has sown enough sorrow, his end is near.

PDP remains one of the strongest parties in the North. As pointed out earlier, many of the PDP stakeholders have their own loyal followers who would vote PDP anytime, anyday. PDP has grassroot structures in every nook and cranny. There are thousands of Christians everywhere in the North. There are non-hausas that will never vote for Buhari. There are thousands of others who do not like his sharia stance. Many people have their reasons for voting PDP and these reasons are not hard to see. If you see the Sultan of Sokoto, ask him for his own reasons why he backed GEJ.

On the other hand, the SS voters did not register for fun. They registered to vote and they voted with passion as though their lives depended on it. Anybody that has gone to Bayelsa can testify that 90% turnout is not impossible. If you doubt me, take a trip to Bayelsa. And remember that GEJ was at home in Bayelsa. That alone is enough stimulation for everyone to come out and vote. The polling booth where he voted is a classic example of how much he is loved.

He cannot head EFCC. Just for the sake of an inclusive government, we can consider another option:

If he is not able to head it, a special advisory committee on anti-corruption and security can be set up with people like him and Ribadu involved. They can work jointly with EFCC, the police and every other law enforcement agency.

CPC followers were bound to start a fight with their primitive thinking no matter the outcome of the result. Buhari should have taken it upon himself to appeal for calm from his followers knowing there was no way he would win the election. In fact, someone like Bakare should be in jail for calling for wild wild North and stimulating sentiments during rallies.


All the trouble states have to be on lockdown for at least one month to control this menace.

When the Igbos unite, there is no stopping them.

And guess what, IBB has also announced that he is retiring from active politics. I do not expect any of the ex-generals of pre-democratic Nigeria to participate in any election henceforth. It is a turning point for Nigeria.
