The guy launched it on Independence day o yet no news about him! If he wrote the pride of Nigeria on the car, then yes I agree with you. These are the things we should be proud of and encourage. Oga mi, carry go jare. Notin do u. If he did this with very little resources, imagine what he will achieve with more.

I swear we are our own problem!

Tried to find newspaper articles on this but was disappointed... anyway here are some of the pics I found online and a link to a very short article bout the guy and his invention. and for someone who claims not to have any educational background, I say kudos man!

“Nigerians got talent”, JustNaija met with the inventor of the Air Amphibian Jet Mr. Kehinde Obasanjo D while he was showcasing his work close to the Awolowo Glass House Ikeja, the beauty of this project is the fact that he has no basic educational background to back the creation of such a device, he attributed all the success to God in heaven , clearly stating that the idea was divine.

Kehinde Obasanjo D is the inventor of this beautiful art, he currently need more finance to further the creation of this device, currently the car is built with crap.

While the Air Amphibian Jet only runs on Land and Water now , Kehinde assured us that he’s researching on the Air implementation.

We need to spread the word, he needs as much support as possible…

GamingMonopoly Lagos Version Launched In Nigeria by Egbagirl(op): 4:20am On Dec 12, 2012
The first African city edition of the famous board game Monopoly has been launched in Lagos.

The Nigerian metropolis is one of the fast-growing cities in the world.

The board's layout was unveiled at an event in Lagos City Hall, with the manmade Banana Island named as the upmarket equivalent of Mayfair in the London edition.

Makoko, the slum on stilts over the city's lagoon, is the cheapest property for sale on the Lagos board.
Bribes

Nimi Akinkugbe, the head of Bestman Games which is producing the Lagos edition, told Nigeria's Guardian newspaper ahead of the launch that suggestions for the Mayfair spot were "a hot topic".

The BBC's Tomi Oladipo in Lagos says Banana Island, which got the coveted position, is an artificially created island where the very wealthy reside.

Some properties on the island sell for about $8m (£4.9m) - and it would cost about $150,000 a year to rent a flat there, he says.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange, Murtala Muhammed International Airport and several hotels are other properties on the board.

Many of the squares are sponsored by banks and shopping centres and even the Lagos state government appears, while some major landmarks like Tinubu Square, the New Afrika Shrine nightclub, Third Mainland Bridge and the National Theatre have been left out, our correspondent says.

Other aspects of the game have been tailored for Lagos, like the "Go To Jail" cards, which read: "Go to jail. Go directly to Kirikiri jail," referring to the city's maximum security prison.

Our reporter says one of the Chance cards issuing a fine quotes a phrase regularly used by police officers: "Park! Park! For reckless driving pay a fine... and register for retraining."

Another reads: "For attempting to bribe a law enforcement agent, pay a fine."

Some of the new traffic laws introduced by the Lagos state government, and the punishments for various offences, have also been included in the game, our reporter says.

"You've been caught driving against traffic. Report for psychiatric evaluation," one card reads.

The Monopoly game was developed in the US, originally based on streets in Atlantic City. A London version of the game was produced in 1935.

"Lagos is the first African city to have its Monopoly. Two countries in Africa have theirs, Morocco and South Africa. But there's no city that has its own customised edition," Ms Akinkugbe told the Guardian.

HealthRe: Itching Balls For Months Now by Egbagirl(f): 9:29pm On Dec 07, 2012
beethoven: I think it is a fungal infection, known as tinea cruris (or Ringworm). First it comes as a result of heat and dirt so u might need to take ur bath atleast twice a day. Then apply cream every time you take your bath. Someone suggested funbact A, but I'd recommend Damatol cream (Yes the same Damatol that you use for hair) it works like magic. Finally, any opportunity that comes ur way to loosen up for aeration around your balls please try to make the best of it (especially at night). It prevents the infection from spreading.

Did I forget to say this: Use a different (clean) underwear per day till symptoms disappear. Any other improvements in personal hygiene would help too.

-Talking from experience wink

Cheers
The man just said that he is very neat and clean and what not. He said since he sprayed perfume on his balls, they've been itching. How can we now say that its a fungal infection??

OP, see why you should go and see a doctor instead of relying on our own advice? Awon Yoruba bo, wo ni, eni a wi fun, oba je ko gbo. Aboro ni a n so fun omoluabi. ti o ba de inu re, a di odindin. For your sake, please go and see a doctor ASAP.
HealthRe: Itching Balls For Months Now by Egbagirl(f): 8:01pm On Dec 07, 2012
I dont understand what you want people to tell you. I mean your best bet is to go see a doc. Who else will understand your situation?? You sprayed perfume on your balls and you have used a ton of different medication since then. What if it has turned to something else due to all the stuff youve been using.Unless it doesnt bother you much, then you might as well ask people (many of whom have no medical knowledge). Plus it seems like you know what you need at least you think you do. My brother, quit deceiving yourself and go see a doc if it is that embarrassing.

Biko go get tested and let a professional handle this matter. Self-medication is BAD! Don't assume you know or that the next person knows unless you or that person is a doctor/GP. That's why those people spent several years studying, so that they can help YOU. No one will know drugs than doctors. Do NOT rely on people's advice. Na beg I dey beg you, go see doctor make d tin no turn to anoda mata.

andyprez: These GMO foods are not chemicals as many people think. Its a technical tool that is meant to assists farmers & farming. It reduces pests, increases yeilds & add nutritional values to foods with less of it. GM crops have been approved in many nations in europe, america, asia & now africa. Truth be told, we need to help ourselves in this continent because we're the ones with greater risks on food security. I bet that decision was based on supersticious beliefs or religious sentiments (that scientists are playing God) & not scientific facts. FYI, Kenya has been promoting GM crops before Nigeria & I'm just surprised at their new decision.
Ha! Bro, I think you are on a diff plane here. approved in Europehuh maybe you are referring to fertilizers. Go watch Food Inc and come back and say this. Even the meat sef, you go fear which kain meat you dey chop.

NO it is not. There are other options: traditional and court marriage. White wedding na oyinbo ma tin. There is no need for it. Na just for show. If you want your wedding in the church? No probs! Just get a pastor and a few witnesses, go to church on a monday morning or whatever, and you are done.

Oh and the fact that you dont ave a white wedding doesnt mean you wont have a happy marriage. Two completely different things.A good wedding does not = A good marriage. Wedding na ceremony. It's about how well you can do that. Marriage na instituion.

I bet you believe WWE and micheal more documentaries too huh
Whether or not he is making money is not the issue. If he chooses to be hypocritical about his documentary, that's his business. It's not about him but about the stuff he uncovered in the documentary and that is the sad reality of it. The fact that I know a lot about how relationships or marriages work dont mean I have a good one. I might have the knowledge but still choose not to use it. Knowing what to do and actually doing it are too different things.
FashionRe: Using Relaxers-how Early Is Too Early? by Egbagirl(f): 8:06am On Dec 06, 2012
*sigh* DOn't. It might seem like it's for her own good but it really isnt. I was happy when I finally got my hair relaxed at 10 but to tell you the truth, it was almost a nightmare. You have to work just as hard to maintain your hair especially now that there are all these harmful chemicals in it. Natural hair takes time. It requires tender loving care. Hair isnt something you just do. It requires patience. There are quite a number of products that can help with the hair texture. Speaking form personal experience... twist/braid the hair regularly, use natural oils (coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil etc), use good shampoos and conditioners. Honestly, do some research on natural hair products. There is no need to go all fancy with them, just get simply basic stuff.

You might think you are doing your daughter and yourself a favor BUT you might be setting her up for permanent hair loss and damage. Different stroke for different folk so some people might have great hair even though they been relaxing it since they were 1. However, the same cant be guaranteed for your girl.

Let your daughter love her hair the way it is and you as a mother should only find ways that will make her enjoy it in its natural state. You would be amazed by how much flexibility you have with natural hair. The key is: patience. It will pay off eventually though.

At the end of the day, it is still your choice. To each his own but if you are going to relax your daughter's hair, make sure she wont hate you for it in a few years. Be ready to take care of it to make sure it's healthy. I've seen TOOO many little girls with terrible hair thanks to those dangerous chemicals.
TravelRe: Common Misconception Of America By Nigerians by Egbagirl(f): 8:27pm On Dec 04, 2012
dayokanu: Everywhere has its own challenges and Nowhere in the world do they pick money on tree.

But given the two places i would rather take my chances in America than in Nigeria. I have several success stories around me from guys who migrated to America recently and are doing very fine.

3-4 weeks ago I hosted 3 guys in my house whom I met through Nairaland. They all went to school in Nigeria and came to America in january 2010. Currently the least of them makes $70k a year. these guys have accent as thick as anyone there, But they are all in the IT field and they are very much in demand.(One currently makes $85k a yr in ohio and has another offer for $95k in Missouri).

Yesterday I met up with a friend we left Nigeria the same time (2008) and he came to recruit for his company. A company reputed to be the Biggest investment bank in the World. He had a degree from UNILAG, Completed his masters in Mathematical Finance and he brushed himself up taking the CFA exam.

I have another friend who came to US in Fall 2010 he used to work with ARM in Nigeria, Came for his MBA at Wharton completed his MBA last May and CFA certified he makes over $130K a yr in a hedge fund in New Jersey.

There are thousands of Nigerians making it out there if you have the needed skills

There are jobs out there if you have the needed skillset. How come you rarely see people from India working low paying jobs? Are they not accented?

but when you go to Hospitals they are the Doctors, the Pharmacists, the Engineers they are on Wall street and they dominate IT fields? Thats because they have the needed skills to work

Imagine someone who went to kwara Poly with a degree in bankiing and Finance, Comes to America, What do you expect if you dont upgrade yourself?
True. Each person's experience will be different based on your state and your field of specialization and specific industry demands. But this only applies to those that have the NEEDED qualifications and skills. Those who do not fall into this category also exist. For them, their own American dream might be a different reality. I have to admit, it's rough out there especially with companies that outsource their jobs and also those that hesitate to sponsor H1B1s.

There are many factors to consider. It is possible to make it but it is not certain. The same applies anyway really.

debosky: It appears you are confusing fertilizer-grown food with GMF. Even GMF can be grown 'organically' and I am certain you will be unable to tell the difference.

African governments can keep playing to the gallery - the issue in Africa is hunger, not 'food quality' or 'food choice'. I'm not saying import whatever goes, but what tests are Kenya going to carry out on those foods? People should deal with their real problems and stop chasing shadows.
Nope! not confusing the two. I know GMF cause that's the crap I eat 90% of the time and it taste like crap! If you grow up eating organic food, and you start eating GMF, you will know. btw, I dont think GMF can be grown "organically". They are genetically modified/engineered. Unless I do not know what you mean by "organically".

... and people wonder why Americans struggle with their health.. dis one sef dey part.

I recommend everyone to watch the documentary, Food Inc.

you would think so but no, they taste terrible! They are unnecessarily gigantic and look quite "attractive" except for the size. You can always tell the difference between GMF and Organic food.

I'm happy for the people of Kenya! They are lucky to have a health minister that is concerned about what they eat.

Well, you cannot look like MIKE TYSON and expect to work at a bank or daycare.
Dude, you should know that your self impression should reflect your job.

I still believe racism in America has got nothing to do with job hunting. Try UAE.
DUBAI to be exact. Your NATIONALITY determines EVERYTHING.
Like I said before, NIGERIAN WILL GET THERE.
you must be living in another America. Maybe where you are at, it's not as obvious BUT it has a lot to do with job hunting.

dasparrow: This is the problem I have with many Nigerians abroad. Just because things are cheap in your city and you are doing well does not mean it is the same all over America and with everyone. I have lived in America for over 13 years, went to college here and everything. America used to be good back in the late nineties but everything has changed now. There are indeed no jobs for the most part except maybe in the medical field. Most jobs - especially manufacturing, IT and customer service - are being shipped abroad to China, Malaysia, Philippines and the likes.

I know of a white American guy who came boasting to us that he has finally secured a good IT job in Canada after years of not finding a job in his home country of USA. He spoke negatively about his country the same way many Nigerians speak negatively about Nigeria and he was so glad that he was moving to Canada. A friend of mine lives in New York, an accountant by profession. She quit her job so that she can have her son and take care of him. Till now - over a year later - she has not found a job. She has credit card debts up to her neck. Her husband has a good job but yet the bills (mortgage payment, credit card payment, electricity, water, car payment etc) is eating deep into her husband's monthly income.

Some people indeed do have to work more than 40 hours a week because the money they are making from one job is not enough to cover the bills. I know of a Nigerian male in California - Los Angeles to be precise - who committed suicide right there in L.A He has been living in America since the mid eighties. He had a liquor store that was doing very well in the past but sales plummeted when the economic recession began. Then he had to close shop. He has not been able to visit Nigeria in years. However, his mom died and he could not afford a dime to send to Nigeria for the burial. That was how he took his life.

So my point is, things are hard in America now. Even those born and bred in America are finding it difficult to find a decent paying job much less someone who came directly from Nigeria with a thick Nigerian accent, an African name which most Americans are often times unwilling to try to pronounce and so on. As a christian, I believe in telling Nigerians in Nigeria the truth so that if they do choose to come to the USA, they will have realistic expectations.

Many Nigerians in America don't want to tell the truth because they want to come back to Nigeria and boast. What most Nigerians in Nigeria don't know is that many residents in America are neck deep in debt. Their mates in Nigeria are building their homes in Nigeria and elsewhere with raw cash while those with homes in America for the most part are drowning in mortgage debt. If they cannot keep up with their monthly mortgage payments, the house goes into foreclosure irrespective of how much one has already paid towards the house.

All that glitters is indeed not gold.
word.

See truth is, you gotta work hard everywhere you are whether in the U.S or Nigeria. Bottomline is, dont expect paradise in America. Life is difficult and work is demanding. Depending on the state you are in too, your experiences will vary BUT in general, it could be quite challengin especially if you cant keep up with the system.
I used to have a friend-with-benefits in my Uni days. And if thee's one thing I've come to learn, it's that women find it really difficult to separate their emotions from sex.

This 'friend' of mine in question - We had our first encounter during a cousin's birthday party. I had just been out of a relationship and just wanted to play around a little. So, during the party, we had a few glasses too many, and 'a few things went down'.
We woke up the morning after, completely mortified, but quickly accepted it anyway, and admitted being PHYSICALLY attracted to each other.
We kept meeting up at different places for sex, and I felt she was cool with the status of things.

Things only started taking a turn for the disturbingly weird when she started calling me regularly, every day of the week. Sometimes she'd call 6 times a day saying the same thing, "Well... Juss wanted to check up on you and, umm, you know, see how you're doing."
She started paying me visits, not just for sex, but just to "spend some time".
She started getting all touchy-feely, always wanting to cuddle, hold my hand while walking, sit on my lap and stroke my beard, text my phone like crazy, etc.

Mehn, all a brotha wanted was pusssy, not this crap. undecided

I eventually started seeing someone for a 'proper' relationship, and she got quite angry and confrontational.

Long story short, it ended with me feeling guilty and drained.
You are the guy lanre_front warns about in his post. Ladies if you are doing FWB, stay clear of Ejiné. lol. but I know pple who've done FWB and still cuddled bla bla bla. You are FRIENDS with benefits attached. What you wanted was a prostitute.
RomanceRe: Friends With Benefit, Does It Ever Lead To Something Serious? by Egbagirl(f):
This thing does happen sometimes. Even to nice cultured girls. It happens under very peculiar situations. So don't say it can happen to u.

A pleasant likable handsome well-to-do nice guy who is good company. A pleasant likable beautiful well-to-do lady. For some reason, maybe they both don't want a serious relationship yet, and for some reasons, they are always running into each other.

Could be they have same group of friends or belong to the same church etc. I guess friends with benefit do comfort each other.

But that is they are both good people. As for ladies, if for some reason. You tempted get into something, try to see how it turns out, its important to make sure that guy is GOOD HUMAN BEING who has respect for people generally, otherwise you can get scarred. Some guys are really terrible. Stupid human beings. Some will may making fun of you behind ur back.

Does good comes out it? It depends on that person you hooked up with. If he is good guy, even if it don't lead into something serious, he will still care about u and be happy to help anyway in can in the future if need be. But if he is bad person. Then u might just end up getting one the most bitter experience of ur life.

Generally, its not advisable for ladies. Guys are naturally made to naturally flow with those kind of arrangement.

So as a lady, if feel like u wanna flow to, make sure its a guy with good head on his shoulders.
You have spoken well. For those who choose to engage in FwB, listen to Lanre.

However, in your best interest, either you stay single or you get into a relationship. Chances of it leading to something serious are low. Most times, it's so complicated that it ends up being more harmful than beneficial.
