Jobs/VacanciesRe: First Batch Of Dangote Truck Drivers To Graduate In January 2013 by Egbagirl(f): 10:25pm On Nov 27, 2012
Joe Batters: As much as I believe dat there is dignity in labor.Any of those graduates/masters/PHD Drivers who has seen dis driving job as escape from poverty or a career path probably cannot defend his certificate or has no ambition.I will congratulate d truckers n d same time advice dem to still seek for a more solid career path or save moni 2 start their own business because u hv 2 ask urself "do I want to be driving a truck for d nx 20 years?".
Just my 2 kobos...God Bless Nigeria
But what right do you have to say that they do not have ambitions? Are you living theirs lives? Do you know what plans and dreams they have? Do you know why they chose this job? Do you know whether they only plan to work for a few years, save some money and do something else? What if this job is a stepping stone for them? Are you inside the mind of the person that wants to own a truck company? I mean seriously, I think it's unfair to say these guys cannot defend their certificates or have no ambitions. You do not know these individuals and certainly do not know what their aspirations are. Even if they decide to work this job for the rest of their lives, as long as they get their job satisfaction, what is wrong with that? Not everybody can be a banker or WANTS to be a banker or businessman or whatever else. If driving trucks gives me a certain thrill or whatever, I dont see anything wrong with that. Some will stay with this job for a long period of time. Others will move on to something else.

Infact, I do not see why people are complaining about this thing. If job no dey, dem go complain. Job don come, dem go still complain say e no good. U no go at least do something? abi e better to go dey rob and kill pple ni? I tire. Human beings (Nigerians) will never be satisfied. Our pride too much sef. But then again, it's not our fault. Na society cause am. (of which na we build the society. lol)

chipmunkey: This is B.S.....Dangote understands the academic mentality that drove them into a situation which made them apply for a drivers job in the first place. Now i'm convinced that University certificate is not a guarantee for a lifetime meal ticket.
You are just now convinced? LOL. I've always known this even before I went to college. It really isn't a guarantee. It's a flawed system that many of us have sadly bought into. Anyway, how do you know that they do not enjoy driving trucks or they do not find the idea exciting and thrilling? Each to his own. I mean no one forced them to. The fact that they have all these degrees does not mean anything. What if this is what they really want to do? Na dem take their own hand fill application form now abi? If they get job satisfaction from this, then good for them!

felifeli: Please where exactly is Ola Mummy ?
Ola mummy is by Ojurin side. It's right by the railroad so if you are coming from secretariat, once you get to that intersection, it's on the left. There's a sign too and if you still cant find it, just ask the person standing/sitting next to you.
TravelRe: Vacationing In The City Of Ibadan by Egbagirl(f): 7:25pm On Nov 25, 2012
OP, dont expect too much from IB. It's not like Lagos but it's cool as long as you have the right people around you. Old/New Bodija is one of the best places to stay and Jericho/Idishin side too. Check out the zoo in UI, the food at Spcies too (UI), Cultural Centerhuh Oh and um this joint, Ina straight too around cultural center. The Iyan and egusi is really good. Other people have mentioned the hangout joints: 411, dome etc.

Just drive around and explore. You never know what joint is hidden in a some neighbourhood that many people dont know about it. There are several of those in New Bodija and Old Bodija too that are very nice.

Foodco at Jericho is way better than the one at Old Bodija. O.Bdj is small, overstocked and messy but if it functions though. The foodco fast food isnt bad either. I prefer that to Tantilizers and Bigs
TravelRe: Vacationing In The City Of Ibadan by Egbagirl(f): 7:18pm On Nov 25, 2012
Freeopod: Ur first destination in ibadan should be an amala joint, preferably bodija 'skybank' or 'ola mummy' u will def forget ur way out of d canteen. Visit UI zoo and awo hall in UI, its d biggest hall of residence in the whole of west africa.

N.B don't forgt to take enough pix of d brown roofs of IB.
YES!!!!!!!!!!! mehn!! Ola mummy na die!! Sky bank too! Yo OP, dont leave IB without making a stop at Ola Mummy. It's more convenient that Skybank and the food is equally as good if not better too. Def Ola Mymmy and its at Ojurin/kogi side. Just by the railway thing. ask around that junction. you cant miss it. Try the Abula and Amala at Ola Mummy cheesy

Also try going to IIT around the ojo side. It's pretty cool but you need to know someone there first.

shymexx: Zimbabwe is actually a more organised and better country than Nigeria, to be honest...

The hyper-inflation was due to sanctions and Western conspiracy against Mugabe, aside that, Zimbabwe and Nigeria don't belong in the same sentence in terms of developments..
Oga Shymmex, biko please tell them again o. I lived there for 5 years and I swear I'd rather live in Zim just because of the way it is so organized. Life isnt rosy of course but at least some sanity! The oyinbo people spent a lot of time there and the result is obvious.

according to my peeps there, their house might just be better than ours. with all the bad news that eminates from NG everyday, it might be better to live there sef. (also speaking from experience) The economy might not be 100% BUT life is less stressful there jare and the environment/atmosphere sef fit make person stay for that side. Little wonder some Zimbabweans are beginning to dislike nIgerians cause dem too plenty for dat side and of course, as usual, they are taking over in business.

[quote author=A-40]Come on man! What I'm seeing from the Lakers is straight up bad coaching! Mike Brown is clueless as hell and the Lakers are slowly going back to the early Lakers post-Shaq era! He needs to find a way to make Gasol and Howard work! Those guys should be going hard in the paint on any given night! What's worse you would expect a defensive expert like Mike Brown to improve their D.but that's not the case

Amendment 64 Passes: Colorado Legalizes Marijuana For Recreational Use
The Rocky Mountain High just got a whole lot higher. On Tuesday night, Amendment 64 -- the measure which sought the legalization of marijuana for recreational use by adults -- was passed by Colorado voters, making Colorado the first state to end marijuana prohibition in the United States.

SEATTLE — Washington voters made their state the first in the nation to legalize recreational pot use on Tuesday, setting up a showdown with a federal government that backs the drug’s prohibition.
