Someone just replied to your post. The response was different from what I suggested. See below -

You need to pick where you family or friend support stays. It is expected that your support help you to settle when you arrive Manitoba. This is part of what you and the person will fill in the settlement plan to be submitted.

Please i need clarifications. when i determine my eligibility on the cic.gc.ca website it says im eligible but when i check my score using the tool it is less than 400. my minimum score is 7 in ielts. i noticed that people are talking about NOC, does someone who works in nigeria and not canada have experience to qualify as NOC. Im an accountant and has been working as a financial analyst.
please help.
Thanks
Yes - you can be eligible even though your score is less than 400 - the issue is that you are not eligible for Ontario PNP (because they require a minimum of 400).
As at today, the CRS score has dropped to 415...have you considered other ways of boosting your CRS score...perhaps retaking your IELTS? This is the time to cash into the rapid drop of CRS scores - please make hay while the sun shines.

Yes, someone without Canadian work experience can still apply for FSWP. The NOC is to be able to match your Nigerian work experience with an equivalent Canadian occupation classification. I'll suggest you start reading this thread from page (0). It will help you understand the process better.

All the best!

@ Ehrnie @ Optionese and all the gurus in the house - Can someone help with this PCC in lagos. I am also not in lagos like @ Optionese.

I can send my data to the person and pay for stress . Any body in the house who can help with this in lagos ??.

@ optionese if you find somebody willing to help let me know.

Please house and the gurus let somebody in lagos voluntarily take up this if not too busy to help those outside Lasgidi. Many thanks in advance - Am sure there are lot more people in the house who will use this service. There will also be some gain in it ofcourse.

Many thanks once again to all the contributors to this forum. keep the pace !!!! Thanks to ya all ....... see ya all in Canada !!! lol !

The person that helped with mine wouldn't want to take this up as an agent - that I'm 150% sure of. Fingers crossed - maybe someone in the house can fancy doing it on behalf of others....who knows?

Dear All,

Please based on this PNP thing, i have my application in the manitoba PNP pool hopefully should be selected for the next stage. The issue i have now is that my cousin and friend live in Winnipeg and i chose my destination as brandon based on what i gathered about the place. Could this pose as an issue for me at the next stage. Thanks for your help.

1st of all - I love the name Ifeoluwakitan...very deep indeed.

okay - back to the question! Winnipeg is in Manitoba, Brandon is in Manitoba so where can the issue ever come from if ultimately you will be in Manitoba as requested by your acceptance of the PNP. You are an adult, so you can choose not to stay with your cousin or friend & there is no penalty for this. In fact, it's only in Nigeria that it's deemed appropriate for people to travel and stay with other people - elsewhere, it is solo moves even people from same mother & father. Relax, lol.

sowie bro is ECA not Wes

Pls bro, the industrial training I did it in 2012 and it was for one year and I was paid but not with pay slip Na money for hand at the end of the month, (lol) ..I have the certificate they gave to me, so how can I go abt it to get more back up documents that I really did it and another issue bro the IT was done in a marine company entirely different from the electrical engineering I studied in skul, will I still choose electrical engineering title as the NOC or look for the job title that fits the industrial training I did as the NOC, n/b my result year of graduation is 2015 and I did the IT in 2012..

thanks once more bro as I wait for ur response

I'll suggest you read this thread from page (0). You'll get a better understanding of the process and then empower yourself with this information you need. Anyways, below are the answers to your question -

ECA is the report you get from WES after they have assessed your degree certificates.
If you use your 2012 IT experience to claim points, you will need to provide a work reference letter from your employer plus other documents like payslips, etc. If you cannot get this, it will be difficult to claim the points.
You have to look for a NOC that fits into your IT which you are claiming points for (I answered this previously)

NB - I am a sister, not a brother lol.

Its not too early, the 6months still covers you...plus the earlier you start getting these docs the better...me that was lounging in Feb, see April dun wan end now...I am running about.

9ja PCC and UK PCC in the bag...Yankee PCC is not even in sight yet...na to submit and hope it arrives b4 they start background check i dey now.

Are you aware that your Nigerian PCC is valid for just 3 months...? It is stated clearly on the certificate. Double check its validity before you submit it...

Am planning to submit my application in june, is it too early to get the PCC or it doesn't matter ?

Yes I have done mine (I sent those documents to someone who got it done for me). The Nigerian PCC is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, so be careful to get the dates right.

Hmm na wa , I think I read on this thread that someone can help you do it right ? What do I need to give to the person ?Please do you know ? Anyone help me out. Phone number of contact . Can it be done weekend?

Yes someone can get this done for you.

(1) The person needs to scan or send you the a blank copy of the PCC form. You will then finger print and fill in the appropriate details..then scan it back to him / her.
(2) You will also need to give the person the following - data page of international passport, passport photograph, copy of birth certificate

That's the procedure / documents I sent for mine. Other people can chip in their suggestions - but I believe this works.

NB - I hear its N5K if you bargain well.

1. the wes evaluation ,is it done like where one is going to apply for transcripts ad being forwarded to the address being given
2. I graduated 2015 ,with HND in Electrical engineering currently on youth service now but the issue there is that the only officially work experience I had was during my one year IT in a marine company that after ND, but I can do electrical installation and wiring ...and having read stuff on this Canadian migration, Cn I include that I have a one year work experience based on my IT, n/b don't wana use nysc experience cos is teaching
3. can a graduate without work experience yet be considered
4. I'm 25 yrs old

thanks lovely fam as I wait for a response

Hi Oscar - see comments below:
Q1 - I don't understand your question, so it's difficult to answer. Nevertheless, Google "World Education Service" to understand the process more.
Q2 - Your work experience must be:
•at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
•paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
•in the same job,
•within the last 10 years, and
•at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Q3 - Answered in Q2 above
Q4 - The age is good and acceptable, lol.

All the best!

@Erhnie, thanks alot. What I meant was that I would be transferring 1m to my Mum's account to make it up to 2.5m cos she already has 1.5m then she would do a gift deed to my brother.

You are saying they don't request for donor's
(My Mum's Deed of Gift) statement of account as thats my fear cos the lump deposit (1m) will reflect in my Mum's account.

Thank you once for your prompt response.

No Veleta - you don't need to include your mum's statement of account.

AnyiEO1:
Good morning house, pls is a CRS score of 450 or 455 good enough to get ITA fast or we still need PNP?
Apart from point accumulation,is there any other benefit in future of having your spouse write Ielts or evaluate their results?
Secondly,If I studied Engineering but I work in a bank as a cashier for instance, my NOC will be cashier related which conflicts with my degree. Is this a problem like it is with Australia or its allowed ?
Pls assist with these concerns my ogas.
Thanks

Q1 - CIC have become unpredictable, so this question is hard to answer for certain...but, in my opinion, I think its good.
Q2 - Future benefit of having your spouse evaluate their degree certs is to be employable when he/she gets to Canada and decides to take on employment. I'm not certain on the extra benefits of IELTS but I believe it is to boost your CRS score pre ITA.
Q3 - It has been addressed here that your NOC does not have to match your degree certificate (as is the case of Australia). It is your work experience (which you are claiming points for) that MUST match your NOC.

Clear...?

Good morning everyone. I must commend the selfless efforts you guys are putting here.
Please, my brother is already in the pool with 475 points,I want to transfer 1m to my Mums account then she will add 1.5m which she has and give to my brother as gift deed totalling 2.5m.my brother has the remaining funds in his salary account.
Do CIC request for the donor's statement of account as these deposits would raise a red flag.
Thanks

Hi -

When you say "donor" do you mean yourself or your mum? I will assume that's the case.

So, you or your mum don't need to include your statement of accounts. However, your brother needs to include his 6 months statement of account PLUS a gift deed stating that your mum is giving him the total N2.5M. You can just stay out of the picture since the transfer is from your mum to your brother directly.

Clear...?

Thanks, so I guess a week to submission is okay to go do it then.

You are welcome.

A week...? In my opinion, that's too close to your target submission date. You will need to speak to the hospital first and ask them questions like - how long it will take, how soon can you book an appointment (they may have a backlog..who knows?), the price, what you need to bring with you to the appointment....etc. This information will give you a clearer picture of when to submit.

I only advised getting your Upfront e-Medical done closer to submission date because the medical result expires after 12 months from when it was completed. This means that you have to land in Canada within that 12 months else you will have to redo your medical (and pay the cost of that)

I hope this clarifies things...?

Ladies & Gents,

Quick One please - Is Upfront Medical is the game or I should submit my app and await instruction?

Not sure what I read some months back and I can't find the link.

HELP!!!

You only go for your upfront medical when you receive your ITA and you are about to submit. Note that you are required to upload the e-Medical Information Sheet you receive from your doctor after your medical appointment.

I think that's just because the post AOR timeline is always long...hence no constant updates.

Good morning.. Please I have 3 years experience in my current job as a pharmacist, while filling the express entry form should I include my nysc as part of my work experience?

NYSC is employment - that's a fact. You include it either (1) under personal history if and only if you are NOT claiming CRS points for it (2) under work experience if and only if you are claiming points for it and you are sure you will get an employment reference from the NYSC employer.

Does one need to decline the OINP first. I can't afford to miss this ITA. This is the closest I have come.

Just ditch the OINP once you get ITA via EE. Because even after you get the additional 600 points from your PNP, you will still be in the EE pool & have to wait for the next draw to be picked. The end goal is to get ITA ....so grab the one that comes 1st...I will go for the ITA via EE if I were in your shoes.

My people an update to my initial post. I just received nomination from Ontario. I don't know if I should accept or not given my score and the low draw score for ITA. How long do I have to make a decision please?

Hope to get a response from the gurus in the house.

I recall when i filled the OINP for a friend, we had 14 days to complete it. Although some people said it's 45 days, i strongly believe it is 14. Below is the information gotten from the OINP website -

February 27, 2017

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Re: Deadline for Submitting Online Applications through the OINP e-Filing Portal

In order to be responsive to unprecedented application-volume demand on the system, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has revised the deadline from seven to 14 calendar days to submit applications through the e-Filing Portal for the following streams:

International Masters Graduate Stream
International PhD Graduate Stream
Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream
Once you successfully register a profile under any of the above streams through the OINP e Filing Portal, you now have 14 calendar days to complete your application. ‎We are making every effort to ensure we have the technical capacity to meet volume demands and we will continue to monitor the system 24 hours a day, to address any issues.

So, only you can make the decision on whether to go ahead with the OINP or wait for the EE CRS score to drop.

God will guide you - Amen!
