4th email just this morning. Submitted previous friday via dhl to Abuja, it arrived there last week Monday so today makes it a week since I submitted. I paid for 2 way courier with DHL; with recent trends, does it mean I will still have to pay for VFS's courier service?

Kimkalash:
When did you get the 4th email? When did you submit?

Hello All,

Please for those that have gotten their passports back, can you kindly advise on what to expect after the 4th msg from VFS (.....has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office).

Gratias

Hello All,

So I hear students with a 1 way ticket are not eligible for PTA. Does anyone know why? How do you get your funds? Black market?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 1:13pm On Nov 29, 2020
I see.

Thanks

JustMellow:
I don't think Abuja does but Lagos sometimes. Before Beijing got involved, Nairobi took the responsibility.

Hello All,

Please what does this tracking update mean: Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2020/11/24. I submitted last week Friday, it got to vfs Abuja just on Monday 23rd. Do they send the passports to Nairobi or is the visa affixed here in Nigeria?

Morning All,
Please what is the implication of carrying more than 10k and declaring?
Also, can someone pls share contact details of VFS Abuja as I am yet to receive my tracking no. Passport was delivered yesterday.
Anyone in Fanshawe with accommodation options/alternatives for a mother with 2 kids?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 5:47pm On Nov 23, 2020

How long has your passport been with them? have you been receiving updates?
Kimkalash:
Called the high commission at Abuja just now. It rang but no one was picking. I'll try again tomorrow
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 4:48pm On Nov 23, 2020
Hello.

Please is there anyone here that has submitted their passport to Abuja VAC? What do we exoect in terms of real time tracking and effectivemess? How many days did it take the passport to return vis a vis Lagos VAC? I submitted my passport on Friday and it got there this morning. Is there anything I am supposed to do to fast track the process as I have bought my ticket already for Dec 26th.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 10:07pm On Nov 22, 2020
My course is a 2yr course. I was scared cos a reputable immigration consultant told me that she personally knows 2 people who were turned back at POE for having a 1 way ticket. Her words:
[20:02, 22/11/2020] .......: I usually don't advise this oo honestly
[20:03, 22/11/2020] .......: I know 2 people who have been turned back at the point of entry for this reason

Chocs:
Most tickets expire in 1 year, so it might be pointless. Except you have plans of using it. All the people I know used a one way ticket and had no problem.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 7:54pm On Nov 22, 2020
Please for those that have gotten their visas, are you booking 1 way or 2 way ticket? I heard that there will be issues of intent with 1 way ticket

So after Fanshawe's name came out on the list, I sent IRCC an email alongside webforms requesting the status of my application. I also did this before Fanshawe's name was published to which they responded that only students whose schls had approved covid readiness plans would be allowed into Canada. Earlier this morning I received a response to my emails thus:

Good day,

Thank you for your correspondence.

Please be informed that a decision has been made on your application. You will be informed of the next steps in the coming few weeks.

In view of our limited resources, we will not be able to respond to any further correspondences from you regarding this matter.

We respectfully request that you withhold from writing further emails until we contact you. We will not be responding to future emails received within this timeframe.

We appreciate your cooperation, patience, and understanding.

What do you guys think of this? Is this a generic response or are they just tired of my emails? I appear to have over-done it cheesy
