Has anyone with AIP applied for GCMS notes yet? This one that my medicals refuse to update and the status is now saying they did not receive it I am wondering if to apply for mine to find out what is going on exactly. I applied July 14. Did upfront medicals and received AIP. My copy of my medicals shows I passed it though
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 2:26am On Sep 09, 2020
So sorry to hear this. I thought you were a June applicant not July. Did you receive AIP. Well at least now you know areas to touch on to refine. It is well

Fgmp12:

Eligible review still going on.

School : Seneca College

After 30 days it changed to medicals not received, despite my plenty emails and webforms forwarding the information sheet to them. Dont know what else to do besides wait whilst trying not to be anxious

MadeMan01:
Hi @Eilenora,
Has your medical status been updated on IRCC?
Mine was updated on September 3 to "Passed"
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 2:29pm On Sep 03, 2020
Hello,

This is contrary to what Fanshawe just sent to me. Kindly copy and paste the content of their email to you? I just did on my last post.

lighthousearc:
This AIP thingy eeh you're on your own ooo, no follow mouth and no follow crowd....No one is paying anyone's tuition here and nobody sabi pass.

BUT FOR ME! i rather defer, get a rejection or approval with my money intact than play 50/50 chances with my AIP when Fanshawe College clearly stated i'm not allowed to start online classes without my SP because they won't refund if for any reason I get denied.

I'm just gonna sit and watch how this AIP thingy unfolds.....Highest if na rejection i have my cash intact na to reapply or stay back in Europe than make person dey tell me eeyah sorry oo.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 2:14pm On Sep 03, 2020
From Fanshawe. What are your thoughts guys, looks too good to be true

My e-mail was not tailored assuming that your program start date is September 2020. I know that you are enrolled for January 2021 intake. I have just made a suggestion for you to start in September 2020 as you already have the stage 1 approval.

What happens if by the time my programme commences I am still yet to receive my study permit and all I have is my stage 1 approval? I assume there is the option of commencing my programme online.

-Most probably, your program will start online also in January 2021 and you can start on-line with your stage 1 approval.

I already paid my deposit for the 1st semester; do I have to pay any additional fees to commence my programme online when the time comes?
-You don’t have to make additional payments.

What happens where I end up with a refusal having commenced the online programme?
-If you get a refusal you can apply for refund.

Will I be entitled to a full refund if this situation arises?
-You can get full refund with CAD 250 admission fee deduction

At what point will it be advisable to defer my admission if I choose not to commence my programme online?
-You can chose to defer to a future intake if you don’t prefer to start on-line but please note that your studies done in your home country on-line are counted towards your PGWP. Many students prefer to study at least one semester online to save the living expenses.

We are in the same shoes. though I got my medical report from Qlife and it shows passed. Still yet to reflect same on my cic page
MadeMan01:
Hello House,
Is there anyone who did upfront medical on August 22, 2020 at QLife after submitting online application (but before medical request from IRCC) whose IRCC status has reflected positively?
I did my upfront medical on said day and notified IRCC via web form (they acknowledged receipt of eMedical sheet 7 days later and said they have forwarded to relevant visa office and advised I notify Nairobi visa office where my file is). I have called QLife and they confirmed uploading my medical to e Medical on August 29, 2020.

My timeline for Spring (May) 2021 admission
Applied online on July 21, 2020
BIL On July 21, 2020
Biometrics done on August 24, 2020 ( reflected on my IRCC profile "Biometrics Completed"wink
Upfront medical done on August 22, 2020.

What next? Gurus @FrankRobbn, @Lekiboboe @rebeccausoro @Osemigho etc come to my aid with advice
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 8:15pm On Sep 01, 2020
Thanks for this; nawa for all these monikers just making one unnecessarily worried. Saw a few pages behind that online classes won't count towards EE but would count only towards PGWP. Been wondering since then about the practicality of this only to see your post.

Please please please let us make sure whatever we post is authentic and genuine information as you never know who is digesting the information. And let everyone also go the extra mile to research into the veracity of whatever we read on here rather than just running along with it and applying it blindly to our application.

Hello @frankrobbn.

I did upfront medicals and submitted my appliction since July 14. Up till now my medicals has still not reflected despite several emails and web forms attaching the e medical slip. You said not to send any more of these so I am anxiously waiting for my CIC log in page to be updated. I already have AIP since August 5. Do I need to order GCMS notes for this as previously suggested by another moniker?

While researching, i read that during stage 2 of the approval process (having now done biometrics), they will check if there has been a change in your eligibilty from when your AIP was initially issued. So with the Naira appreciating against the dollar, hubby decided to liquidate all his investments and monies in Naira accounts, purchased dollars and kept in his dorm account. Now wondering if there will be a problem if they look into my proof of funds again in Stage 2 only to realise that there are no monies in the statements i submitted with my application (although research and enquiries again shows that they cant check past the last date of the statement submitted with your application hence they can never know your account balance as at today). My qstn is if I should be proactive in sending them a new bank statement of the dorm account reflecting the dollars purchased and deposited or I should wait until they ask for an updated statement? I read in previous page that a lot of times the Nigerian embassy here stil looks into proof of funds after the study permit has been issued and before PPR hence my qstn

Finally, can you kindly direct me to the link for how to secure admission for phd? this is not for me but for a friend

Many thanks

Can you also kindly advise

Frankrobbn1:
IRCC has clearly stated that they will not reject any in process application for non-compliance of documents. Your application will NOT be rejected after the stipulated 30 days period given to you to complete your medical exam. As a matter of fact, they will systematically extend the deadline.

Please resend a copy of the E-medical slip via this email - nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca

Keep me posted should your Mycic account changes.

It will end in praise.

Hello guys, please can you advise on this situation as I dont know what else to do

On July 14, 2020, I submitted my application for a study permit. I did an upfront medical examination and attached an e-medical information sheet evidencing same to my application.

On July 24, 2020, I received an email requesting that I undergo a medical examination. I raised a web-form attaching the evidence sent to me by my Panel Physician (Q-life Family Clinic) confirming that my medical report was indeed sent to IRCC and clearly reflecting the date that same was sent (June 25, 2020).

On July 29, 2020, I received a response from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, informing me that they had received this document and forwarded same to their Nairobi office.

On August 13, 2020, I sent a follow up email to "nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca" regarding this issue to confirm that they had indeed the document from their Canadian office.

Today makes it 30 days since I received the request for medicals and the status on my account now reads: “We did not receive the results of your required medical exam. Check your medical exam request message below for details.”

I have raised yet another webform to Nairobi this morning to avoid stories that touch.

Wondering if there is any other thing I can do. Should I be worried?

Hi Guys,

Please does anyone know if visiting visa applications are being treated and if so, is it treated by the same people handling study permits? i want to put in an application for hubby as soon as possible with the hope that he can accompany me in December to at least settle down. yet to receive my study permit o but in my head i have already bought ticket. lol grin

I have finally been able to book mine for Wednesday. I used Moxilla rather than chrome and used a yahoo email addy instead of the gmail I had been using all along. hope this works for you.

Still having problem booking on my end, did you use the same email address or what did you change this time?

I have tried severally to book my appointment online to no avail so I have used the email option and awaiting a confirmation via email. Got the same account locked message others received when trying online. Hoping I can get biometrics over and done with so we know our fate with regards to the 2nd stage of the approval process. #anxietyoverload. It will all end in praise

Hello Gurus in the house.

Kindly educate me on the below please.

Eilenora:
Hello All,

Please I need clarity on a few things.

It has been resounded here and on other threads that a 2:2 cant get you admission into a Uni in Canada right? But I just learnt of 2 people who got admission for an executive MBA programme in a University and they didnt even ask for their academic standing. The admission was based more on work experience and requires going to Canada maybe every quarter or so. Is it because it is an executive as opposed to a full time programme? What is the probability of them securing a work permit after this programme?

On the issue of finances and bank statement after submitting one's application, my friends who have been bankers for almost a decade informed me that the Embassy only verifies the authenticity of the statement and never account balance after the date of the duration in your statement. A few people have also said the same thing in previous posts. If this is really the case, why has it been sounded over and over here that one should maintain your balance and not pull out substantial funds until one's visa comes out? Can I be educated on this please? hubby was my sponsor and wants to use his funds and does not see why millions should remain in his account till eternity

Finally, does PHD require GMAT?

You may wish to check your school's refund policy before doing this. Fanshawe for example provides refunds only where you were refused a study permit.

Also, why not wait until you get your permit before changing schools? Changing in the midst of a study permit application may just complicate things in my own opinion.

Finally, you can proceed with your 1 year programme and simply apply for another 1 year programme upon completion to bag the 3 yrs post study.

Mogullet:
Long Post Alert!!!

Big thanks to you guys for the contributions on my request for help with my Acrobat adobe javascript, searched but couldn't find your comments anymore. I was able to solve my probelm by filling the forms at a cyber cafe, saved it to my devise and uploaded from my laptop.

I also did read a lot of comments about the 1/3 year PGWP and I'm really impressed at the amount of information you guys are putting out to help other people with their quest, big kudos to you all! As a result of the info I now have, I intend to change my school of study even though I have paid my tuition deposit and submitted my study permit application.

I applied to Saskpoly because of it's international students pathway,( all you need is that you have six months work experience in your field of study to apply for SINP) and got the admission in Business Accountancy for winter semester. Like someone mentioned during the course of the argument; no one saw Covid 19 come and those who are got the 1year PGWP this year would really need extra grace to scale through this period.

Now the thing is, I have decided to apply to another school with a 2 year PGD so I can get a 3 year PGWP and save myself the impending hassle then ask for a refund from Saskpoly after my study visa is approved.

Please my people I need your help, I want to do a financial management PGD at a school in British Columbia but the tuition fees I'm seeing is too high. Please does anyone know of anyone that is less expensive still in BC or any other province.

PS: I like British Columbia just because of its weather.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All.
Would you advise that I wait to get a final approval and then hubby uses same to apply for a work permit so we can all go together as a family in december,
or
he should just apply for a visiting visa,we all go together, and then he has same converted to a work permit whilst there without having to return to Nig? If this is a better option, are visiting visas being attended to at the moment? it is pertinent for all of us to go together as a family cos I have 2 kids and won't be able to manage them alongside schooling.
Please advise
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 3:26pm On Aug 06, 2020
please this one that they are giving AIP without admissibility and background check, what is the implication of that? is there a possibility that the application can still be refused later on for these same reasons? I have done upfront medicals and also police clearance so ordinarily it should just be biometrics left but still need to know the full implication of this 2 stage AIP thing

Request for medicals July 24 even though I had already done upfront medicals
Raised general webform July 24 and Nairobi webform July 25 attaching evidence of upfrnt medicals
AIP this morning
Eligibility, background check and Medicals still ongoing.

Course doesnt begin until Jan 2021 so hopefully visa submission offices will open up for biometrics before then
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Eilenora: 2:28pm On Jul 28, 2020
Many thanks.

I have done this. Qlife also said I can send them my own copy of the medical report alongside the slip which I sent via email. However I subsequently read that it is only the panel physician that is allowed to forward the report to IRCC not the applicant. I hope this does not count against me in any way.

Prior to the new 2 stage approval process, if one gets medical request it means most likely you have gotten your permit. Does same still apply considering 3 different stages are being run concurrently now?

JustMellow:
Hello Eilenora,

Kindly send the e-medical slip you were given via webform or email, or both to IRCC with your UCI number, Application number and Full name. There is nothing to worry about.

No wrong person. Going to Fanshawe hopefully. I did my medicals 3rd week in June. They uploaded to IRCC 3 days after of which I have evidence of that from Qlife however it appears IRCC did not receive it thus sent me request for medicals. I have sent them the emedical sheet again alongside evidence from
Qlife via webform and now
eagerly awaiting their response.

Yes.

the challenge sef is that i did upfront medicals so wondering why I am being asked to go do medicals, almost like they didnt get the result from qlife. also is it normal for 3 stages to be ongoing at the same time:background check, eligibility(just changed today)and then request for medicals.usually isnt the request after both stages have been completed.this new 2 approval stages is bringing in a lot of huh? in terms of being able to ascertain next steps.
