Hello. Have you received PPR now? My bvl finally dropped few minutes ago. When will we receive PPR? Are you in Lagos? Are you using DHL or Ups? Lagos or Abuja? quote author=Dameelee post=96186249]Have you gotten your passport back? If yes how long did it take for you to get it after submitting?
|
My guy uv left me in this race. I never receive o. Just like u I hvnt been able to concentrate on anything and not sleeping as well. Just constantly refreshing my mails. Congrats. Super happy 4 u. Will probably get mine this week as well. For all u know we may just end up being on the same flight. He he Dameelee: |
Dameelee my personal person try and be calming down na ![]() Dameelee: |
Did you get the mail from Fanshawe tonight? Their name will be published on the 17th. Fingers crossed blinn007: |
Fanshawe intakes zoom is live now for the next hour if interested to join in. |
What if it is your first application and you are submitting same place you did your biometrics? Will you still be paying for transmission fees? Can you take your passport yourself to VFS or you still have to courier it there via DHL (I reside in Ajah which isnt too far from VFS so wondering why I would still want to courier my passport). Yet to receive PPR but just want to have the information handy. Make I be like Rebeca, ready on arrival. He He Akannitommy: |
Hello. I also sent a mail to them to which I got a response this morning. Witrh what I gather, if your school (like ours) isnt on the DLI list with an approved covid readines splan, u probably wont get PPR. Their response copied below: Dear Applicant, Starting October 20, 2020, travel of asymptomatic international students who have the appropriate documents to enter Canada and whose DLI is on the list of institutions with approved COVID-19 readiness plans in place are considered to be non-discretionary and non-optional, unless there is evidence that they are clearly coming to Canada for a discretionary or optional purpose, such as tourism. You can find out more about this on: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2020/10/update-on-travel-restriction-exemptions-for-international-students.html Kindly be informed that our aim is to process your application in priority and all efforts are being made to keep the processing time as short as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding in this regard. So I guess we just wait until when Fanshawe's name is published. It is well o. Sirromey: |
Hello Damelee, Fanshawe still didnt make the list even after their confirmation that they have been approved. Long Sigh Dameelee: |
Many congrats. Super happy for you. And thanks for this. I have just duplicated it and sent email and webforms as well. Hopefully I will also have positive news sooner than later. How soon did you get a feedback between when you sent the emails and when you received bvl? Now go dust your luggage and buy winter clothing. He He Lekiboboe: |
Dameelee me too. Am so tired of this waiting and time isnt on our side anymore. Cant do any proper planning till one gets PPR at the least. Can you guys advise on me taking my kids with me even though I used them as my hometies durng my application. What explanation will I give at POE? They are both Americans so dont need any documentation per say. Leaving without them and them joining me later may not work as there's no one to bring them. I dont start hubby's paper work till mine comes out and that may take months to come out. Cant be seperated from my kids for that long period of time. Dameelee: |
My fellow Fanshawe peeps, I just got confirmation from Fanshawe that they have obtained their approval and will be on the list tomorrow: Hi Kemi, The list will be updated tomorrow and we will be on the list. We have the approval. You need to wait for your study permit now. Hopefully BVLs will rain on us subsequently. We move. |
We are plenty waiting o. I doubt they will issue PPR to us for now. I suspect itwill be after Fanshawe makes the list for covid readiness. Expecting a revised list this week. We move! quote author=ojzreal post=95504990]congrats to everyone who got PPR but please is there any fanshawe college student with passport request, the wait is killing
|
Mine is today's date. quote author=Dameelee post=95262182]I just checked and the date for PPR written on my GCMS notes is 12/06/2020 but on the part written Status, it says “not started” I’m not sure what this means.. what date is on yours?
|
Correspondence started on Page 12 in my notes. You will see outgoing 1, outgoing 2, outgoing 3, etc Outgoing 1 was titled "other" and dated Aug 6. I assume this was my AIP cos I received same Aug 5 Outgoing 2 was my medical report dated July 24. I received this July 25 Outgoing 3 is the original passport request dated July 24 same date as AIP with a due date for today Outgoing 4 is the biometric request letter dated July 14 Outgoing 5 is an acknowledgement of receipt email dated same day i submitted my application. After these are incoming correspondence which listed all my several emails and webforms in respect of my upfront medicals that was yet to be reflected on my portal. It means if I dont receive PPR today or in the next few days, then we know for sure that the delay is cos Fanshawe's covid readiness plan is yet to be approved. So you see why I am asking this qstn. I want to clarify this line of reasoning from those that got their gcms notes and have also gotten PPR as well, to make sure I am in order. For thos ethat have gotten GCMS notes, take time out to read the plenty notes in the 62 pager documents and see if you find same thing in there SKEPTA: |
Please for those that have received PPR and also applied for gcms notes that was received prior to PPR, can u please compare your notes to check if the due date mentioned under passport request is the same date your PPR dropped. Orginal passport request is under the correspondence section (outgoing). |
Hey Dameelee I was just going through my gcms notes again and noticed there is actually a portion in the notes for original passprt request with a due date stated there. Can you check and confirm if the date stated in yours has passed yet? Cc: @skepta @Lekiboboe Dameelee: |
Judging from extract from IRCC INDIA webinar, I seriouslt doubt it Dameelee: |
From this, schools like Fanshawe whose plan is yet to be approved; our applications are on hold and wont advance to ppr stage. OUCH! quote author=silvamania post=95195680]Maybe we can learn from this ; *IRCC WEBINAR for Indians OCT 22* 1. Your visa will be in a deactivated state if your college is not on the covid ready list (those who have visas) 2. If you have an AIP for 2021 then you must have deffered and if you did then you have to notify the ircc about the defferal with a new loa via the webform 3. for the classes starting in 2021 you will get a normal visa (NO AIP if you have an aip send them the new LOA via webform) 4. All the applications will be on hold if the said DLI is not yet on the list. only those application who's DLI's are on the list will be prioritised and also advances to 2nd stage. 5. If you have completed 1 full year online you are still eligible for PGWP (for 1 year programs) 6. If your college is on the list you can travel anytime for sept students irrespective of the mode of delivery (3 weeks prior before the class start date for jan students) 7. VFS will open stage wise (Delhi vfs is open for accepting passports) 8. There is no date on vfs yet discussions are going for November opening. 9. No POE is needed if your DLI is on the list. carry your loa, quarantine package list (or ur quarantine plans), passport and visa. 10. when they know when vacs will open then they will prioritise who has to give biometrics first. 11. No ppr's will be issued without biometrics (my ppr is on hold due to no bio) 12. passport requests will be sent to students who's DLI is on the list. 13. Quarantine plan is at the college discretion. 14. you can give biometrics in another country but you cant give biometrics at the port of entry (no bio no visa) 15. DLI list will be updated every 2 weeks (dli can update you before the 2 week time). *SOURCE :- IRCC WEBINAR* *©️KSA*
|
quote author=Dameelee post=95108932]Hey Eilenora, thanks for the update.. I was hoping their readiness plan would be approved o (before they’ll say they are approving only applications if the schools have COVID readiness plan. Anyways fingers crossed. I’m a January intake, and I plan to travel in December.
|
Eilenora:I have done biometrics and even saw several comments confirming biometrics done and good in the notes so I dont know why it reads outstanding.. For the rest of the comments, looks like it is still in the review stages so still on the waiting game. Let me know what you guys think as I am not sure I have seen this in any other notes I have come accross on the thread.
|
HI GUYS. Got my notes earlier today. See extracts below. Regarding medicals, my portal got updated to passed on the 16th of Oct meanwhile the date on the notes is 10th Oct which explains why medicals is yet to reflect in the notes. |
Thanks Frankrobbn1. Appreciate your responses as always Frankrobbn1: |
so for those that received BVL between yesterday and today, Adway2020 is a Dec applicant Dino71 April applicant Heidepaper September applicant Determinate July applicant Jermaineayo July applicant Looks encouraging for us July applicants |
So another question is if those that received BVL earlier this week have gotten passport request. Are the visas affixed here in Nigeria or do the passports have to go to Canada? How long before submitting your passport and receiving same back with visa affixed? |
Well I hope this is the case cos my schl is yet to get approved and it will be sad if this is what will hold up my application. fratermathy: |
WOWWWWWW. BVL without AIP, and for a Sept application too. So it appears this may be a new trend for those who applied post AIP (2 stage application process). Super congrats! heidepaper: |
I suspected and expected this. Is it safe to play the waiting game and watch and see till one's schl is added or best to start applying to other schools whose plans have been approved? Lekiboboe: |
Hello, Please are you in Canada? If not, please what is your timeline? Lekiboboe: |
