Conservatively? Or did the journalist mean consecutively? That would be strange. Nigerian courts rarely give consecutive sentences. Much more likely to be concurrent.
Business › Re: CBN To Refund ₦35 Million Capital Deposits To BDC Applicants by einsteine(m): 4:36pm On Jul 30, 2021
Lots of people are ignoring the fundamental issue to argue nonsense.

There's a lot of demand for the dollar both for transactional reasons and speculative reasons. The supply of dollars is controlled by the CBN and cannot meet demand.

It is the mismatch of supply and demand that's the problem.

You can reduce the speculative demand if more people are confident about the prospects of the Nigerian economy. As it is, people would rather hold dollar than Naira.

So long as the demand for the dollar far exceeds the supply, the Naira would continue to sink, if the CBN likes let them handover the treasury to angels to be the one selling the dollars.

Telling commercial banks to sell instead of BDCs does not solve any problems as we would soon see. How many people who truly need the dollar would be able to get it?

Customer A wants to buy dollars to keep for speculation purpose. Customer B wants to pay school fees for children abroad. Customer C wants to roundtrip by falsely claiming he's paying a supplier abroad (he would later sell back to those who can't get from the bank).

In the cases above, how does the bank determine who will get the limited dollars? How does the bank stop those they give from reselling at a higher rate?

The true exchange rate is one in which any economic participant can get Forex with no restriction. And the only thing the CBN has done is shift the profiteering from the BDCs to the banks.

Majority of people here, don't understand international law, this is not a matter of Buhari, who is writing a bad history for himself and meet his Waterloo, someday, it is a matter of due process, what was the reason for fleeing the country in the first place, to save his life, it is never done, let the man apply and seek for asylum. I am so tired of all these banana republics parading themselves as sovereign Nations.
He is guilty of immigration offences. He had a forged passport for heaven's sake. Enter a country claiming assylum with a forged passport and see if you will not be punished. Besides, his life is not at risk. If MNK or El Zakzaky was not killed, why does Sunday feel he would be killed?

Just as an aside

It is necessary for an Igbo state to show strong differentiation in terms of economic success (and otherwise) for people to really buy into the secession agitation.

As it is, those who cry for secession must understand that there will be no difference between what occurs now and what would occur when so called oppressors (Fulanis, Northern Muslims) are not part of your country.

An arrest warrant was issued for Onyema. It was even discussed on this forum. He has not made any foreign trips since then. Funds meant for the Niger Delta amnesty were laundered in the US by him and associates.
Politics › Re: Hushpuppi: Arrest Abba Kyari - U.S. Court Orders FBI by einsteine(m): 3:19pm On Jul 29, 2021
That's an end to his foreign trips. He once holidayed in the US. Now he can't do that anymore.

Same with Allen Onyema.

The FBI might not push for his extradition but they will surely be waiting for the day he mistakenly steps into UK, Australia, NZ, or Canada.

You can send money on abeg with just your phobe number or username. You can also see list of those who have the a beg app on your contact list inside the abeg app
Kuda Bank has the same functionality. Even GTB and first bank allow you to send money with just your phone number and to another phone number.

Nothing unique about abeg; that's why they stress the potential use of the app as a bambiala app. They are trying to use that as the differentiating factor.

Do you know how much ’Gofundme’ is worth? Those of you saying nonsense about ‘Abeg’ y’all ignorant and Myopic.

The entire fund raised by fans after the games for their fav via GoFundMe will now happen with Abeg. The next #EndSar-ish project would raise fund using Abeg. Campaigns will raise fund via Abeg.

Abeg will grow into a massive product. I am already salivating as I think about the future of Abeg. I wish they can employ me as a strategist
They are not doing the same thing as Gofundme.

What can you do with Abeg that you can't do with Kuda Bank?

No insurance policy will cover a premeditated fire incident.
Don't say what you don't know.

Insurance policies can cover arson provided it's not the person buying the insurance that conspired to commit the arson. Payout would take time as they need to investigate but yes, arson can be covered in a comprehensive fire policy

Ejebleje:
Many things observe about this.

1. the lady will not be caught unless as someone suggested ,shes an aggrieved former employee

2. The video is not clear which is the reason for number one .

3. Alot of institutions have merely perfunctory CCTV installations, nobody mans them actively to check incursions like this,if not it wouldve been spotted and the building and the things plus people inside(who hopefully were saved) woulve been relatively unscathed.

4. I feel like an insurance company can deliberately use this video against them, why? It wasnt an accidental fire.

It's a shame!
Fire insurance covers arson too not just accidental fire. So long as the arson is not commited by someone who has an economic interest in what is being insured.

Filling station is about how many litters you can sell in a day. Any location that can sell at least a 1000 litters Daily is far better than real estate
1000 litres a day is very small for a filling station o. Margins are very low so you need more volume to make it worthwhile
