Does it mean Nigeria Gov't is now stronger than the US that they cant have their way to arrest kyari if found guilty? You can't just enter into another person's country and arrest him. Infact, if Kyari is extraordinarily rendered instead of being extradited, the FBI would lose the case. Nigeria has to agree to extradite him or he has to go to a country where he can be extradited or he can go voluntarily to the US to clear his name. |

Money laundering is a crime all over the world.. there are laws against it in USA UK etc including Nigeria! It is punishable by imprisonment ! Not properly defining crimes is why EFCC loses cases. Fraud is aided by money laundering but they are usually two different crimes. Someone who uses his account to receive fraudulent funds, constructs houses with it, then sells the houses and returns the funds to the fraudsters is a money launderer and not a fraudster. |

He will never be extradited.
The worst that will happen is for them to retire him. I am sure he has already gathered enough money from runs and egunje (unless he is a profligate spender).
Unfortunately for him, he won't be able to travel to many countries of the world because there just might be an Interpol red notice on his name/passport. |

Commentor: I'm sure you can read but comprehension might not be your strength.
Abbas posted receipts of money sent from his associate to another person's account.
Proving that Kyari received said monies would take some doing.
Even with that, proving the purpose of the payment would be even more tenuous.
Kyari is guilty of a lot of things but not what many are pushing. Keep shifting the discourse. You were arguing earlier that the 8 million figure was fake yet here is evidence, now your argument is whether the prosecution can prove his guilt. I don't understand why idiots try to form woke when the situation is clear as daylight. It is clear to everybody who can do critical thinking that Kyari has a case to answer. Kyari himself has not denied collecting money from Hush and you are here trying to defend him. I hope you are licensed to practice law in a US state so you can offer your services to him. |

Here's is a story that wont make front page. my mother and father have been married for 50yrs. They fought and worked things out.
If they are bad relationship they are good ones. But weak minds subscribe to fear more. That's why only courageous men get things done. Men still get married. Woman no fit shake man. On his day sef death no fit shake man. Have you asked either of your parents if they are truly happy? Long duration of relationship does not count for anything. Especially for Nigerians who are experts in the art of suffering and smiling. By the way, this is 2021, and except in very few cases, na mumu dey marry |

In fact from the court papers Overt Act 41: it was explicitly stated by Hushpuppi he wants Chibuzor arrested.
Overt Act 50: wishes to send money to the police team for the arrest of "the armed robber". Which document are you reading? Go and read the complaint. The one presented to the grand jury. It was clearly stated that total payments to the account number sent by Kyari were 8 million. At this point, I have to say you are talking trash. Pull 8 million out of the air? So people just invented 8 million or you think we are relying on summary like you? Go and read the complaint before engaging further in defending Kyari. |

Commentor: Job is job.
Slang used on the street doesn't trump its proper usage.
Hushpuppi was widely purpoted to be a real estate developer and social media influencer.
At the time, there was nothing to explicitly state the nature of the business.
Whatever your parlance might be, it doesn't trump common usage. What then was the motive for collecting 8 million or retaining the devices seized from Chibuzor after he was released (at Hushpuppi's request, by the way). It is obvious you didn't read the case. And no, job is not job. Even the FBI is aware of the slang usage and again, if you read the screenshot you will see that it's obvious that the "job" was illegal. |

Commentor: Again, does the 8m show up in the court document?
Stick to the points that can be proven not what you wish or gain from the rumour mill. Yes it does. Total payments to Kyari were over 8 million. Including another 1 million Kyari collected from Chibuzor. Go and read the complaint. It's all in there. I repeat, take time and read the complaint instead of playing devil's advocate when the evidence presented by the FBI is to the contrary. Hush also ordered Kyari to keep Chibuzor's devices and not return it to Chibuzor. And yet you say he was unaware. Anybody that tows your line of argument after reading the complaint is quite frankly obtuse. |

Commentor: But why are you like this?
Is there any doubt business was involved?
If business was involved wouldn't there be a money component?
If money was discussed does this explicitly determine the nature of the business?
You go school na. Hushpuppi said "Message the job". Job is a well known slang for scam. A synonym for maga/mugu. Go back and read the screenshot again. Stop trying to be clever by half. |

Commentor: You are the one concluding on the fraud component of the deal.
This was never explicitly stated in the voice note but Kyari should have been more circumspect. More so than any regular Joe might be.
Yet not being circumspect doesn't make one an accomplice.
In any case, Kyari has besmirched the name of the Nigeria Police Force (make of that what you may) and as a result, Kyari should be summarily dismissed.
He can fight his case of extradition when that time comes. I still repeat that you should go and read the complaint. Particularly the section about Kyari. |

drlateef: OP that’s not the whole truth of what we read in US documents. Paragraph 7,8,9,10 are not correct. From the official documents, Hush contacted Abba and told him that someone wanted to kill his family. Abba contacted a police officer to arrest the guy. Abba requested for mobilisation money from Hush to be paid directly to the officer who will do the job. The amount of mobilisation money is not mentioned in the document. Abba detained the guy and sent picture to Hush to confirm that they picked the correct guy. Abba was not aware of the motive of Hush other than the story he was told by Hush - that he wanted to kill his family. After month Abba could not get evidence that the guy actually wanted to kill Hush family, that’s why he was released.
At the end of the day, Abba did not collect any money and he did not know the real motive of Hush. This happens a lot in the society where rich people call the police and mobilise them with money so as to punish their foes. That’s exactly what Hush has used Abba Kyari for, without the poor man realising that a major scam was in the offing. Stop lying. We read the document. He collected money. Kept the person without charging him to court for a month. Asked Hushpuppi to explain what really happened and got a detailed voice note from Hushpuppi that Vincent is trying to divert a fraud deal. Stop making excuses for someone who is supposed to prevent crime but was helping to enforce same. |
