After the election, people who are bought with the old currency will simply go to CBN branches to exchange it with the new currency before 10th April.
More than one Month is enough time for them to exchange the old money after the election.

What do you think is causing the scarcity? Once the old notes go into the bank, they are no longer coming out. If banks refuse to accept them, people will stop accepting them. Unless a directive is given on Monday, your confidence is misplaced.

Again, the 100 naira are legal tender and that's what banks have been paying over the counter since. If the conductor had given him 4 100 naira notes, do you think he would have complained?

The order was to FGN not CBN. Have you seen any announcement by the CBN? Why not deposit old notes on Monday and see if it would be accepted? Or go to shop rite or spar and use old notes if they will accept?

Yesterday I went to Access bank to withdraw via ATM. NO cash. Went to the Banking Hall to use withdrawal slip. They said no cash.

I then told them I want to speak with the Branch Manager cos I want to withdraw all my money.

When I met her. I told her I want to withdraw all my money.

She said no cash. I then told her I needed cash badly. The she asked me how much I wanted to withdraw. I then told her 5k. Next thing she said was

"Will you manage 100...100 Naira Note of that amount. I quickly said Yes. At this point, they had refused people from entering the Banking hall. This was around 1pm oo. People were outside angry.

Madam went into her office and brought out OLD Notes of 100 Naira. She even said I should give her time to select the clean ones and give me. She counted about 50 pieces of old N100 Note and gave me.

I collected it. Went outside the bank. Saw crowd. Past them and moved.

I used the money to enter buses and buy foodstuffs yesterday.

Moral lesson
Even Bankers are giving out Old notes to people. Nobody is rejecting old money at this time. Infact old money now is like new money at this time. Anyone who rejects old money at this time will die of chronic hunger.

Plenty unnecessary story in your post. The 100 naira notes were not redesigned so no dispute about their validity. No banker would give you old notes of 200, 500 and 1k denomination

This is to me is a total submission to commiting such crime. Bank should have maintained their stance and prove her wrong in order to save their own image from their customers. They should release the details of fraudsters after obtaining the court order

If you had read the bank's letter, you would have known the bank is not trying to pay her 800k, rather 800k is what's left after the fraudster has spent most of the funds stolen from her.

She knows she has no case, so she is going the emotional blackmail route. The actual thief is close to her or someone who has access to any of her previous or current devices.

Bank insiders can easily issue an ATM or token and pin to their accomplice to do the magic.

They are not agreeing to pay her 800k. 800k is what is left in the account that her money was transferred to. The 800k has been restricted and she has to get a court order to get it. She is using public opinion and sob story to try and manipulate Zenith into assuming the loss.
