Issues to be determined by the tribunal are as folows: 1. is Inec right by cocluding that the election is inconclusive? 2 Did the PDP win the rerun election? 3. Did the violence thet took place outside the voting areas mar the resukts of the election? 4.Can all the civil matters affect eloctoral laws and affect the results of election? Going by the Nigerian constiution and electoral laws in Nigeria, the outcome of the PDP apeal at the tribunal is an exercise in futility for there are judivial precedences at tribunals appeal vourts and supreme court that contradict their case.Lawyers will eat and encourage you to spend money even when they know the strength and weaknesss of cases. If the PDP petition is debated for twenty years it will be decided in favour of the respondent..APC. |
Lazy Niherian....all his mates are doing businesss rearing cattles and cultivating farmland..... |
How many people has she influnved in Nigeria? Can she give a person card for any government work or contract in Nigeria? What infuence does she have in Nigeria let alone Africa? We are celebratiing deception. |
Johnnyessence:At the tribunal only testimonies from those eho are directly connected to election are tenable. So NBA and all unacredited observers do no come in. Additionally there are conflicting reports on it.The police report which is tenable justify the fairness of the election. At any rate let us wait and see what the outcome will be at the tribunal. In my humble opinion as a lawyer. civil cases do not mar election results |
https://leadership.ng/2018/10/04/technicalities-didnt-allow-inec-cancel-osun-rerun/ It may be difficult to win at the tribunal for all the purported violent reprorts took place in the town not at the designated polling units. They are civil cases not in the electoral laws.Besides the fracas was between the police and political thugs. In my opinion as a lawyer any case on it is Dead on Arrival |
https://leadership.ng/2018/10/04/technicalities-didnt-allow-inec-cancel-osun-rerun/ INEC did not cancel Osun Rerun beacause most of the violent reports are civil cases which hold no water in the electoral laws.In addition no violence took place at the polling booths used for the rerun. The purported vilonce reports were between political thugs and securtiy agencies. outside the voting areas. Any case on the rerun is Dead on Arrival. |
Johnnyessence:it is a pity thst you dont know the fifference betweem a politician and an analyst. There is a difference between analysis and realties. This deduction is supported by how it all started and ended.....So learn how to ask questions on matter before vituperatipn |
myettiallah:Are you a lecturer? Come to my office at OAU for more knowledge on Tetfund and confirmation of my use of the fund as i drsired So no special dance on tetfund.Thousands of academics are using it every month...You are bound to sign an undertakng on it.Ask my colleague that has just got it if i am lying.Thamk to goverment for the provision. |
What is special in this? Tetfund is available for sny lecturer in polytevhnics and universities who is interessted in further studies. All you need is to apply. That is all |
otherway:Your contribution is insightful. APC swallowed its pride by coming to Omisore.Omisore also humbled himself by avcepting them Osun PDP does not want Omisore to control the party because of the existing grievances.I am not surprised APC won the election at the extra time. The party perfected its network very well.I commend APC for the steps taken and Omisore for his maturity. PDPi is a divided house to their peril. All the issues thst they are raising sfter rerun election are civil which hold no water in our electoral laws. Both APC and PDP must have learnt their lessons in Osun election. |

Johnnyessence:i am not a politician but all i know is if the rerun took place in Ede PDP would be smiling now..It is a pity it took place in Osogbo Ife Orolu.I know APC would win.and it did. |
what makes it a black day? You all sat in Bayelsa eating turkey.APC strategised and. won. |
PDP has the right to go to court..However it is a DOA case for all thr issues raised are civil not on electoral matter and they in no way affect the outcome of the election. It is a pity that the rerun took place largely in APC stronghold. That made PDP lose the election |
Other oposition party agents disagreed with PDP agent at the coalition center that there was breakdown of order in osoggbo..they all said it was free and fair |
If Oyonloka could join APC what prevented Omisore?APC got a good signing by bringing him in .It took humility for APC to do it and humility for Omisore to agreewith them.Best of luck Otunba Iyiola Omisore. |
Kdon2:This is a lie.Nothing is imposible. If he defects to APC finally he may be ptesented after Gboyega representing Osun East And as a united Osun East he will win as the governor |
APC is now qualified for the Champion league.....Omisore is a good signing |
APC football club has a good signing by bringing Omisore to their club.APC away marches in Ife North snd Ife South are wins. The club is winning in Osogbo and Orolu now. |
manchy7531:i am in olode now.you are lying |
PaChukwudi44:i mean the one that contains olorunda osogbo and the difference of 350 totalling 4579. it does not come from INEC.it is the pdp calculation. |
sosanova:The last Simmary page does mot originate from INEC.The PDP will have to prove it later at the court of law. |
Juliusmalema:am i right? i think i am |
Juliusmalema:am i right now?i think i am |
Juliusmalema:ok i heard you |
Juliusmalema:Chapter 6, section 179, sub-sections 2 of the 1999 constitution reads: (2)“A candidate for an election to the office of Governor of a State shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being two or more candidates -(a) he has the highest number of votes cast at the election; and (b) he has not less than one-quarter of all the votes cast in each of at least two-thirds of all the local government areas in the State. “(3) In default of a candidate duly elected in accordance with subsection (2) of this section there shall be a second election in accordance with subsection (4) of this section at which the only candidates shall be – (a) the candidate who secured the highest number of votes cast at the election; and (b) one among the remaining candidates who secured a majority of votes in the highest number of local government areas in the State, so however that where there are more than one candidate with a majority of votes in the highest number of local government areas, the candidate among them with the next highest total of votes cast at the election shall be the second candidate. |
WAJW:The winner must have majority votes and 1/4 of the vote cast in 2/3 of all the local governments. PDP has not fulfilked this.Hence osun is set gor the run off |
Osun is set for a rerun election..... |
INEC has declared the following as elected governors. Omisore. Govrrnor of Ife. Adeleke Governor of Ede. Adeoti Govetnor of Iwo. Akinbade Governor of Ile Ogbo. Oyetola .....Govermor of Osun State |
BREAKING!!! ADELEKE is already leading in all the polling units of Aba Onitsha, Rivers & Delta while OYETOLA is leading only in Osun state! #OsunDecides2018 #OsunDecides |
Osun state has once again indicated that it prefers infracstructural development to stomach infracstructure. The citizens have appreciated what Osun is spending money on .The loan the state got is not in vain. The Apc will pay all the outstanding salariy arrears. The results are good indications that APC is on the verge of victory....... |
cbrass:it seems but it is not. APC is winning there |
