This is autocratic and an exercise in futility. Every former governor has his right on matter. If Omehia is supprting Atiku does that mean in history he was not a former governor in Rivers State. All the actions taken by the Woke regime would be withdrawn or set aside by a competent court!

Like you read up there, I don't actually know my age, but I can remember some event way back,
I lost my mum and dad so early and I grew up with grandma.

I remember my uncle coming to take me back to lag, in year 2000 precisely and I remember very well when that bomb blast at Ikeja cantoment happened for days in Lagos.

Now key important things to know is, when my uncle came to take me back to lag it was during third term holidays and I was on my way to primary 2 then but when I got to lag he enrroll me to private school and I was taken back to nursery 3 because baba (me) no Sabi even speak English as at then, and I still remember that very moment very well.

So like how many years of age do you guys think I might be then cuz all the memories are still fresh in my brain so for me to still remember everything then, I am thinking maybe i was 7 or 9 then. I'm so confuse.
. Fir yiu to recollect Major events in Lagos you were 9 or 10 years old then.

Wait a second... did you just say you will ask them? Are you kidding? So people no fit lie about such things and suddenly pictures are proof of marriage as long as two People are in it? undecided

And what do you mean when you say "marriage license" abeg? undecided
. When you go to a local government registry for SM you will fill in a Notice Of Marriage Form Form A.After 21 days you will be issued Form C Marriage licence. The form means you are qualified to get married without any opposition within 21 days. If you will do the ST at the Local govt marraige registry you will not be given the form but it will be in their file. Any time withing 90 days(starting from when you came to file notice ) yiu can come with yiur partner to get Form E Marraiage certificate and yiur witnesses. In the cases I have seen the local governments had no Form E but gave Form C to the couples instead of Marriage certificates .Also some churches did not have Form E from the Federal Govt but asked the couples to keep Form C Marriage Lisence issued to them at the LGS as their Martiage Certificates. In all the cases no mareiage at all between the concerned couples.

Wrong!
You are supposed to believe them in the absence of any reasonable ground for disbelieving such a fact. That is what The Natural Law of Evidence Said and even your legal evidence act also said so.

Embassies are just exercising their Natural Right of doing shakara since it is their nature given territory which they have been natural taken care of which a visitor/migrator wishes to enter.

So they have a right to scrutinize your entry since people are known to be wicked and evil, therefore they can place stumbling blocks in a migrant's way.

But they also have the right to grant you entry to their land even without any document, as you have seen them do.
Your opinion and conclusion are respected

From my first post I did not say TM requires marriage. However to show how people don't care about marriage TM or SM I said if you go to a street you will see that 7out of 10 do not have any evidence of marriage at all. They just live as husbands and wife with only introduction and engagement ( If they even do them) I have never changed what I said. It could be that you gave what I said another meaning! 1. If indeed it is complete without a certificate, then why your earlier claims about the need for certificates when accessing the validity of a marriage claim? undecided

2. The statement you made regarding the need for marriage certificates, you did not indicate only applies to the some but to all where marriage is concerned. So, if according to you the validity of a marriage under law is accessed by way of the marriage certificate, how can you continue to then insist that marriage is complete without one? undecided

If a couple approached you without having a marriage certificate in hand, claiming to have been married under Traditional law, how can you tell if theirs isn't a case of engagement confused as marriage? undecided
. Sir what I said is TM does not require documentation although some do it.On the other hand ST requires papers / documentation to make the process complete 2 If a person aporoches me and claims he is married traditionally . If I see pics I will belive him but embassies will not belive him until they see a document on the Martiage. That is why some people prefer ST to TM in order to avoid the rigors of questions .NYSC also prefers ST as an evidence of marriage when posting married corpers!

And as you stated. ..... so why are you still insisting that marriages/certificates don't have to be registered to be considered legally tenable? undecided
. It seems you misunderstood me but I appreciate all the issues you raised.1 Traditional marriage is complete when a bride is handed over to the groom ' family with the oaymey of brideprice. You don't need any registration after the bride has been handded over. However some still go for registration for ducumentation purpose at the local government. 2 A statutory marriage involves registration and documentation from the beging to the end: Form A Notice of Marriage, Form C Martiage Lisence and Form E. Certificate of Marriage. It is this Certificate of Marriage that the couple will show as an evidence of marriage. It must be duly signed by the couple and their witnesses!

"It may be tedious". This was the word that set me off to discover these Truths.

"It may be tedious". If it is tedious, then why are we trying to do "just is" aka justice?

Who may it tedious?

Was The Law made tedious? And this is where I found The Answer that "No! The First Law, Natural Law, God Made was very very beautiful and very sweet and very good and absolutely Just. Which is why it is Natural Law which bears the statement "The Law does No Wrong/The Law can do No Wrong" in line with the Statement of Law which says that "The Lord forbids that a wrong should be done" aka Ubi jus ibi remedum.

But this is not so for legal as that statement "It may be tedious" has confessed. Which is why that statement "the law may not be fair but it is the law" IS A VERY BIG LIE!

THE CORRECT STATEMENT "IS LEGAL (THE LAW MEN CREATED) IS NOT FAIR AND IT IS NOT THE LAW!

THE TRUE LAW AND THE LAWFUL LAW (NATURAL LAW) WAS AND IS ALWAYS FAIR AND JUST.

Funny how they claim Natural Rights over and above legal rights but have hidden the Truth that Natural Law is over and above their quashable and discard able legal things.
I respect everybody opinion on marriage but the truth is statutory marriage is tecious: You file notice with money after 21 days you can go ahead with the wedding. You look for witnesses and all the related activities. Somebody who takes a woman home without any rituals may be happy with it.However certificates are presented at the embassies not natural laws. In order to on a safer side that is why many people combine traditional marriage with the statutory marriage!

I will still share some legal provision on it. It does not require registration. It is complete on its own without registration. However statutoryy marriage according Marriage Act requires documentation

Marriage is older than man and it took place long before men started playing God by directing and instructiing, how they (men) think that a marriage should be done or not be done or what is marriage and what is not marriage, hence the creation of legal!

Legal means men playing God by making laws (man made laws)

Meanwhile it is not men who gave themselves The Law that they can marry neither do they have the jurisdiction to set marriages. All these, has already been covered by Natural Law!

Therefore, men truly do not have any jurisdiction to have made these legals as Natural Law had taken care of all the issues.

And Natural Law has said that a Marriage occurs when 2 adults, wilfully choose each other to act as a single unit with that unity being exhibited to the whole world that they are one.

Once this is done, then marriage is validly presumed which on the further verbal confirmation of the joined parties can be justly acted upon, any where in the world.

It is because legal and injustice has come which is now even causing and creating even more problems, whereas Natural Law and Justice had crushed all wrong doings.
. Your argument on nature is excellent. However we should give to Ceaser what belongs to Ceaser. That is the reason why our marriage must conform to the Law of the land. It may be tedious but it is in the interest of all parties at the end.Thank you for your good arguement.

Actor Kenneth Okonkwo has decribed the APC as a party of Thieves saying even Animals are also stealing in APC Government.
I have said it several times that APC PDP and LP are the same things. If we want something new in Nigeria we should go and pick our president among the unknown parties. This however is niot possible. Politicians only change parties their characters will never change. In PDP they steal with impunity. By the time Goodluck was leaving Onkojo Eweala said the treasury had been looted completely and it would be difficult to pay salaries. It came just so. Even PDP governors are the same.I can say it anywhere. As for APC they steal money including governors but you will not know. Theirs is "shop and clean mouth'" The dregs of APC and PDP are now in LP including OBi. Leopards will never change their colours. The way they all stole money in APC and PDP ( Okonkwo Kenneth is not an exception) that is the way they will continue to steal our money. Our problem is that our leaders are corrupt even if they are honest those working with them will thwart their efforts with corruption of the highest order..

There are many fake certificates in Nigeria! Some unregistered churches print their certificates for their church members. Those certificates are not tenable for the dissolution of marriages if there is a need for that and neither can they be accepted at the embassies in case you want to travel abroad. That us why many people do fire brigade wedding at the Ikoyi or registered local governments so as to get government certificates.

I have been dating this guy for over 2 years. When we started dating, he had no job and I always encouraged him to get something doing no matter how small because he was always relying on his parents then.

He got jobs but quit working without telling me, I got to find out later. Due to these issues, he couldn't afford to pay for his apartment, so he had to relocate to his parents house.

He got a job in the same area as his parents house and he only looked for it because I told him I wasn't comfortable with him not working, as someone in his late 20s. As a lady, I try to make sure I work, plan my life and look for opportunities with prospects, but he doesn't do these things. He is comfortable with the way things are going for him.

He's been working for some months now but there is nothing to show for it, he is not even trying to get a high paying job, start a business, learn a skill or leave his comfort zone.
Mind you, I don't ask him for anything since he is not even doing well for himself yet.

This guy is proposing marraige, but I don't want to accept because he doesn't have a vision, neither does he have concrete plans or prospect. I'm afraid getting married to him would mean I'll be carrying all the burden while married, since he is even comfortable with the way things are for him now. I'm tired of having this discussion with him.

Please I need suggestions on what you'd likely do if you find yourself in my situation.
He appears to be a lazy person who will later depend on you. Hold on until situations improve. A man must be ready to cater for his family in any way!

There are many baseless marriages in Nigeria. Many even live as husbands and wives without legal documents. Does this support the brake up in marriages today? To start with there are two types of marriage that are legally recognized in Nigeria: Traditional marriage and Statutory marriage. 1 Traditional marriage requires the meeting of the two families on marriage matters. The groom will pay the bride price and bring the dowry of the wife. During this process the father of the bride will hand over the wife to the groom's family. That ends the Traditional marriage. It is not necessary to document it at the local government. 2 Statutory marriage. This is also called Marriage according to the Marriage Act.This involves filing of Notice of Marriage. After 21 days you get Marriage License and you consumate it by taking oath of marriage and issuance of marriage certificate. Form E Traditional marriage can be terminated at the Customary court while Statutory marriage can be dissolved at the Federal High Court. Pls note that some religious centers have had approval from the federal government to carry out Statutory marriages. Remember that Introduction alone is not a marriage..Marriage License is not an evidence of marriage.Notice of Marriage Form is not an evidence of marriage. If you bear two children to man without any marriage you are just a a baby factory for him.He can still marry another person legally. So is your marraige legal? Is the process coomplete? Do u have any questions? Tell us about yours or what you are proposing

. 1 What do you expect when a king is involved in a marital mess? What a shame to the defendants! 2 From what you said yiu did only introduction. That means you had the child out of wedlock. Introduction is not martiage. You can contract marriage through Statutory marriage or traditional marriage. The Olori hid under this to go to another man and start a new marriage. This is a lesson to those who think introduction is marriage. 3 Whether you are rich or poor with facts you presented here the child is yours. In law you should be allowed to see the child but you cannot have the custody until the child is 8-10. At ten the child has become a minor adult. A minor adult can decide what he wants in terms of custody. If the child says she prefers to stay with her mother the name she bears must be yours and yiu mist have access to the child as the father anytime. These are facts many don't understand including the Ataoja of Osogbo. The Kabiyesi should have had a forethought on this case and the implication on his name. 4 Your legal action is in order!
