King Charles III addresses the British people and the Commonwealth for the first time ahead of his proclamation on Saturday.
His son and heir, William now has the title of 'Prince of Wales,' expresses his 'love for Harry and Meghan' in first address
. Congratulations to Nigeria! We are now producing king of England whose origin is from Ilesa in Osun State...... Ade a pe Lori re oo! Omo owa,! Kare oooooo!
Vinnie2000: Was in a Tricycle going home and observed that most Schools put a Vacancy for 'Teachers Wanted'.

He now told us he is a Private school teacher for 5yrs and that these days, Graduates ARE NO LONGER INTERESTED in teaching jobs!
That they are all into Plumbing, Tailoring, Graphics designs, Online selling, Bitcoin trade, Yahoo, Hookups, etc.
SO, THE QUESTION IS
What is the cause of this?
If this Ugly trend continues, Who will Teach the New generation of Nigerian children
Or in 2035 or 2040, will Education in Nigeria be something, Dispensable or Optional
Pls move to FP. Tanx.
. 1 The teachers are not well paid. Private school owners in Nigeria are wicked. They only use you and dump you. 2 Government school teachers work less and get more money while private school teachers work more and pay Peanuts as sakaries. 3 Money people want fast money. They believe there are other engagements that give them money apart from 8to 5 private school teaching. These include 419 , scamming and yahoo yahoo.4 Attitude to work has changed drastically especially when private schools owe workers fir three months and more. Some don't even pay during holidayYet they will say they run International Schools ,Special schools, and all other embellished names. Ironically many private school teacher are far better than those in the Government schools
. I have been justified by my earlier comments about the educated "illiterate" professor who made unguarded utterances which has a greater meaning to Nigerian politicians in the North and reaffirm their position about Obi of LP. Let the build up continue!
Africana1123: FLASHBACK: [15th July 2000]: Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT established the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to ensure free flow of traffic in the state, enforce traffic rules and a massive employment generation.
#BAT2023
We all know what Tinubu did when he was the governor. His achievements were complemented by his successors. That is why Lagos still remains center of excellence. Only detractors will compare Lagos with Anambra.Omly God knows the exact number of people from the SE who move to Lagos daily.Lagos gives succour to Nigerians regardless of your tribe. Eko for Show!

https://twitter.com/UjuAnya/status/1567933661114429441?t=pKpX6NtCXe4OAeYMN1FayQ&s=09
. The truth is the Biafranism is the blood of the Igbos. The more they portary this in words and action the more presidency will be elusive to them. The North as I said several times looks at LP Obi as the voice of IPOB and Biafra warlords. Regrettably the Igbos out of anger and frustration make needless unguarded utterances . There is time to speak and there is time to be silent The whole world knows that at a point the British government was suppoting Nigeria for England gave us independence and the nation could not be silent when Nigeria was at war. On the other hand France was also giving Biafra some support, if am not mistaken, The whole country will continue to live with the ravages of the war for we are all victims of the civil war! The statement of the uneducated illiterate professor Uju Anya has justified the position and the fear of the north about the Igbos presidency. It has indeed shown that the SE is taking a step forward and twenty backward. The SE should understand the Nigerian politics. The earlier they do this the better.
gassbee: he was betrayed in d primary or he lost d primary
. It appears the PDP zoned the their candidates to the South.A step Atiku did not like.Fayose however explaned what happened in the build up. During the primary the north schemed against him won the primary in their interest. In the choice of VP he was schemed out. Wike may be a talkative but events after the primary are indicationd that the North only wants to use him and dump him finally
. Wike shiukd show by his decision whether he is a BOY or not as described by some PDP bigwigs! The truth is he was betrayed by the North in the primary and in the selection of VP fir the party. If you don't fear North you will be given your BREAKFAST in a special way!
. " Yorubas have to wake up and not allow emotions to lead us,” she told newsmen in Lagos". I am a Yoruba man I will not follow Hausa Fulani for another 8 years. If Tinubu wins and he is killed the North is inviting trouble. Few words are enough for the wise
. Our nation is on the verge of break up especially about 2023 election. The North should know that it is the turn of the South now to rule in Nigeria. We cannot afford to follow the North for another 8 years for no reason! The 2023 election may be a factor that will tthreaten our united existence as a Nation.

Kagd10: The senate President will be a Christian, so what are you saying exactly? Muslim Muslim ticket is a political strategic move. Is it ipob threatening Pastor Kumuyi, Adeboye etc that would have voted Tinubu even if he had picked a Christian?
I am a Yoruba Chritian and many people like me don't feel threatened by Muslim Muslim tiicket!
Chimera30: Yesterday i quit my job. I heard stories about how former employees before me, stole from the company. Even the last person i met there stole hundreds of thousands and was sacked 3 weeks after i joined. I was hardworking , honest, punctual, polite and hands on the best worker.
I was made employee of the month , a month after i joined and guess how much i was given as reward? #250! Lol After i requested permission to travel to the East for a close Aunt's burial for a week and 2 days, i was permitted yet Half of my salary for last month was still deducted and that's why i quit. After the way i served and upheld this company and even worked overtime most times and always get home very late at night. It is well.. i know God and life has better plans for me. ASUU strike or not.
. We're yiu told yiur money would be deducted for spending a week and two days? If yes why did you resign? If no why resigning? Private jobs will akways be private jobs. If I had heard this I would have adivised you to keep working there until u got another one. Half a bread is better than none!
Look at the man these dunce and empty head fellow are saying is 86years old. Is this tinubu older than atiku in that picture you are seeing?
Some people are just blind by hate. They always see white as black no matter how you try to convince them.
But ofcourse they have an history in believing Nonsense, lies, fable and everything imaginary.
People who believed Buhari died and is still dead. They are irredeemable. Gone.[/quot. Leopards don't change colours !eave them and their fozzilised poor judgement!
How does buhari and apc feel when they read such things?
I'm sorry young man. Your country failed you
Iremwber Daniel from Edo stowed away to USA during the regime of Jonathan only to see himself in Lagos . It was in the news then. Daniel was enrolled into a school then by Gov Oshiomole..
NezzyMike: Yet Buhari stopped their salary the first month it started, that wasn't fair. Do you know some research institutes have been on strike since last year, why is the govt paying them?
ASU has excesses. 60percent of their demandshave been met yet they refuse to resume. As for the non payment of their salaries the FG believes they have been on strike before before the ongoing one and this is the continuation. ASU even said that they would continue their suspended strike when they started in February. Thus non payment of their salaries is in order. My concern is ASU shiukd shift ground in imitation of the federal government! The union is not a sacred cow in Nigeria!
. " The questions that I am asking are: how did the scammers know my email, name, date of birth and so many things about me, if there were no insiders from the bank". This is how the bank staff connive with scammers: When the bank officers are less busy they will be browsing customers' accounts and keep a record of account numbers ,account names and so on. They later supply them to scammers who excute their plans. They have called me several times about my date of birth and many who are close to me. The truth is bank officers harbour fraudsters! What we need is to be careful!
About Bingham University Bingham University located in Karu, 25 kilometres from the Federal Capital city of Nigeria Abuja, was established in 2005 by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) as a Conventional University. It is one of the six private universities in the north and the only one established by a Christian organisation.
The pic shows it is a University in Nigeria with clothes hanging all around. No Wardrobes services!
Ishilove: The ASUU strike which has crippled academic activities in government owned universities in the country for 200 days and counting is leading to a massive brain drain in the education sector. Apart from frustrating lecturers to the point of some of them willing to give out one their most prized possessions: their books, like this UNIMAID don here- https://www.nairaland.com/7235435/ASUU-strike-dr-abubakar-othman
Others have simply chosen to abandon Nigeria, the selfish and uncaring government, and her teeming mass of hapless students to their own devices. Recall that some days ago, the UNILAG’s ASUU chapter chairman, Dele Ashiru raised an alarm that 70% of their academic workforce retained through mentorship had resigned and relocated abroad. This resignations are not limited to UNILAG alone but other universities are also witnessing an exodus of their lecturers who have abandoned their professions as a way of coping with the months old strike. https://www.nairaland.com/7308352/unilag-leads-mass-resignation-lecturers
Muneer Yaqub, a PHd student in the diaspora and Tweeter shared a screenshot of a project supervisor announcing to his students that he has 'japa-ed'. To each his own, may God save all y'all.
Projects in the mud. What kind of country thrives with this kind of brain drain? They don't care about the hoi polloi, so you BATs and ObiDients better wake up and choose wisely for the sake of the upcoming generation.
Another lecturer will take over.the project supervision. It happens even when there is no strike. Additionally all the projects are destroyed after some years. Nobody uses them !
Osariemen12: Only a student of Ferdinand de Saussure understands what you wrote here. Unfortunately, such a beautiful field in humanities is gradually getting eroded. Thumbs up bro.
In addition to my previous comment I appeal to the Nairaland Moderators to create a plartform called LANGUAGES where issues relating to languages will be discussed especially when we have linguists on Nairaland. Thank you.

Honestly you cannot imagine how happy I am that there is a Nairalander who understands the linqustic terminology I used in my comment. I am fully convinced that you are an English specialist with the name of the Swiz modern lingust you mentioned. I appreciate you.
adenigga: Former military leader of Nigeria, Abdulsalami Abubakar has revealed his stand on the kind of president the country needs in 2023. Abubakar stated that it is time for the old politicians to step aside and allow the younger generations to lead the country.
According to him, what the older politicians should be doing at this point in time is to encourage and mentor the younger ones.
Naija News reports he made his mind known at his Minna residence when he hosted the presidential candidate of the Accord Party (AP), Prof Christopher Imumolen.
He was quoted to have said; “I think the old ones should fade away gracefully and allow young people to take over.
“What we can do as former leaders is to mentor and tutor them in whatever way we can in order for them to lead the country. As a matter of fact, this is the time Nigerians should begin to support young, vibrant and visionary leaders that would steer the country on the path of glory.”
Speaking to reporters, Imumolen also stressed that individuals with track records who can transform the fortunes of the country should be supported to get into power.
He said: “We need to reposition the country on the path of development and sustainable growth.
“And if that must be done, Nigerians should start looking at selecting those who have a track record in leadership at various levels from both the private and public sector,” he added.
