WorWorBoy:Lol. Just say you are jealous that you want that light-skined Igbo damsel who wouldn't lower herself and taint her children's DNA with your blood... Today you are okirika, tomorrow you are Bayelsa. Today you log in with one moniker, tomorrow another one. Your IP seem to be from one device changing monikers. |
Same format! The same way Dan Fodio took over the North. They bring their flocks peacefully, they survey your land and every corner of the bush and they take over and kill everyone. Then everything around become theirs, and those who do not bow to their kingship through religion will be killed. They then install their kingship... That is how Ilorin, Gobir, etc was conquered. This excerpt was from a book written in the 1800s. Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.
|
Topmaike007:You think everyone is a fool right? Why did Ohaneze hide the video where the other Ohaneze goat was making threats immediately Umahi installed him? Talking about his deal with the "North"? You think everyone is a fool right? |
WorWorBoy:Today, you are Ijaw from Bayelsa, tomorrow you are "we Okarikans". always using we [insert tribe], with this or your other monikers. Why not stick to one identity and be proud of it. Maybe those bleach bleach are your people trying to form Igbo to increase their value. Mind you, even in history books, our great great great fathers and mothers were already known to be light-skinned and called "Red Eboes".... Here is a document from the 1800s.

You mean the Miyetti Allah chosen one? Although his position is not yet confirmed, he is already doing the bidding of Massa. He did not even deny it.
|
Yujin:Yeah! Sure!... They talked about their meeting with King Obie of Abo and how his power waned when he got older |
It is clearly a fight of the globalist vs the nationalist. I see the pattern here; Trump was fighting a war against the globalist world order, which requires a globalist conformism to a world government to control the world's affairs. If Trump doesn't bow to the New World Order's (NWO) instrument of control like WHO, how will they achieve a global vaccination? If the US are no longer puppets to UN treaties and deals that never meet any targets, how will the NWO achieve control? Under the NWO, a mixture of the two world religions is an absolute must. An instrument for control and fear-mongering. Trump is absolutely a threat to this. See Europe, Germany and France have destroyed the future of their country.. why do you think the UK left the EU (albeit late). The EU is punishing the UK to come back because the NWO needs this for easy administration and control. Look at the reversed policies by Biden, even a blind mind can see through it... If you know, you know. (Well, lifting the travel ban na to my advantage, globalist or nationalist make I enter Yankee again go see something before this visa expire) |
hammerDK:I mean this letter was true after all. LOL
|
Who listen to these Fulani stooges? They truly believe that their opinion hold any water in Igboland... I mean is this not the same group that was handpicked by Miyetti Allah... They should rather engage their youths to reach a compromise and negotiate a better deal for them rather than shouting empty threats... It seems they have learnt nothing from the Ekweremadu's treatment. |
iamimohtal:Nah! it is not just her. Anyone who has crossed the shores of this country to a place where the inhabitants do not see barbarity and suppression of justice as a norm will understand what is happening. |
pazienza:Nice!! Your knowledge of your people is deep..... |
pazienza:The Ndoki people have been battling these guys to leave them for a while now but the IYC agents are relentless. The Banigo here and his groups have been warned time and time again.

In reference to the last post, on the Breches/Bretshi, I`'tshi or whichever variation of the spelling, you can find Baikie's account below. "...I inquired particularly after a sup-

Igbos in Sierra Leone in the 1700s/1800s Sierra-Leone, especially Freetown had a lot of African migrants and freed slaves or recent migrants who could still tell where they were from. There were a lot of people from present-day Nigeria who were in Sierra Leone. Yorubas/Yoruba/Yobah (They were called Akoos in Freetown), Igbos, Hausas and others. I will upload some accounts from different sources. of the Igbos in Sierra-Leone. 1. Robert Clarke in his book documentation for the ethnological Society of London. Here, Clarke, represented the Igbos living in Sierra-leone with a group of Igbos in those days known as Ebreches/breches (I guess the practice to him was absurd). I think this is practised amongst the Isuama people and usually for the wealthy or royalty... (Baikie, talked about this practice and had more accurate information regarding the phenomena and people but he found that this is not a subgroup but a wealthy class of Igbos). cc. Pazienza, Abgworo, ChinenyeN, what do you know about these group of Igbos? Breches? Ebreches? Clarke, had a portrait/drawing of an Ebretche/breche Igbo. He noted that the Igbos were very wealthy and successful in Sierra-leone... No be today Igbo people start to dey business
|
There are a lot of ethnologists who described the physical attributes of the Igbos. Many of them acknowledged that the Igbos were generally fairer in completion than their neighbours. I do not know the reason for this, but my theory is that the areas they occupied had more vegetative canopies or it could just be from their ancestors. The two accounts I uploaded are from James Prichard, 1837 and Dr Olfield around 1831 or earlier.

BlackSaints:I do not know about today but in the early 2000s, I am sure I might a lot of people from Okirika that were bilingual. Just like the engenni people. Although they have their own distinct language, many of them especially the older generation that grew up in the town were bilingual. That is not to say that Igbo was their real native language though. EVen today, in some areas in Oguta, people there (especially the older ones) are bilingual in Igbo and Kalabari. Except you visit these places, you may not tell...because unlike in Europe where people jump on opportunities like this to do proper research and documentation which is available online, I believe Nigerians are lazy or not interested in these type of studies. There is no village or town in Germany, for instance, you will not find real historical and records with proper documentation. |
ijawcitizen:So, what do you intend to do with Ndokis in the heart of Abia state? Give them a place to relocate or live in swamp and Atlantic? Change their language and ancient surnames and culture? How will they "retrace" their step to the Ijaw nation? Do not worry about the Igbos at the Cross River/Akwa Ibom border. You will never catch the Aros, Abiriba/Ohafia/Bende people slipping. These were people who defended that territory with pride and bravery. They wear their Igbo badge as the most important thing in the world, yet they still have pride in their respective sub-groups. You can try through another part of the border to invade the Igbo nation but you see that side, they are warriors. |
letu:Bruv! I do not know why you are throwing tantrums. What I presented was books from ethnologist who wrote what they witnessed with their eyes at that time in history and their deduction. You are also free to present yours in a civil manner like someone who was raised well. I presented a book from the 1800s and you resented one from the late 1990s or thereabout. I made it clear the books I was posting mine from are quite ancient. You are also free to post yours. I also made it clear that the things presented are not my opinion. We are all here to learn, except you have other agendas. |
letu:..but Taylor and Crowther did not come around to bring down our culture but to elevate it... Most of the works of these guys and people before him like Equiano was instrumental to the abolishment of slavery. They had to start somewhere. The authors you mentioned built their ideas and populations from the works of these older guys. |
I will move a bit further from the main book I am using for this thread and dig some more into other books. Captain Hugh Crow of Liverpool in 1830 (At this stage, the air of white supremacy is still on a high). Here, he a narrated the relationship between the Igbos and others at Bonny Besides the Eboes and Breches, we received at |
ijawcitizen:What truth? you cane up with a non-peer-reviewed article from a website claiming that you are the only aboriginal in the south.... Your true intends is clear ´bro. Well, I have dug up more history from 1800s about Bonny and this will really shock you and all your propaganda. |
“As a result of the peace agreement, the government banned vigilance groups and identified cattle routes and facilitated free movements of bandits to convey their livestock to the markets.”In other words, Fulani Herdsmen. |
ijawcitizen:Oga stop lying... The writers are not Igbos. I checked who the authors are. I am having a feeling that you are just another divide and conquer agent with the number of lies are you churning out. |
ijawcitizen:But it is the Ijaws that are fighting in Edo state, Rivers state, with the Itshekiris in Delta state and Yorubas in Ondo state. Go to Arochukwu and claim them to be Ijaws too nah... You know those ones do not joke with their Igbo Identity. They will use you as sacrifice to their Chukwu. You came all the way to Abia state to convince people that they are Ijaws... You guys have become bolder though. |
ijawcitizen:Name me one thing we gained from Jonathan? Appointments? who? How many? How my federal projects? The Igbos were ridiculed and called names all over Nairaland because of their loyalty to Jonathan. They made enemies for themselves all over the nation defending Jonathan and calling him "!our brother". He called himself Ebele. We could not find one of you castigating Igbo people, not one then... because you needed that support. |
ijawcitizen:I do not know what you want us to look out for specifically. Everyone knows that the Ijaws are a migrant group. You are to the sea and swamps with seafood what the Fulani are to the land with their cattle. I guess despite your reach even up to the Gambia, you have been able to maintain your language firmly, or at least dialects of it.... However, you know where your boundary starts and ends. I know you are driving for the unity of your people, which is commendable and should be supported because there is power in unity. The Igbos on the other hand have shown you guys support. The last case being Goodluck Jonathan.. The Igbos took the bullets and all the hate in support of Jonathan but I believe you should not go pushing your luck too far. |
letu:Nna eh! what are you talking about white people? Educate yourself. John Christopher Taylors' Mother is from Arochukwu and his father is from Isuama. He was a rescued slave who grew up in Sierra Leone and just like Rev Crowther did for his Yoruba people, Rev. Taylor came back home and settled in Onitsha, and the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Act of Apostle. We really need to bring back history in school. Now, I am not saying that his proposition was the correct one, but don't ever mess up the names of the heroes that sold the beauty of our people to the world. |
letu:Bro, I am not doubting the veracity of your sources, One of the older authors who brought the thesis forward around the 1800s was Rev. Taylor. His parents were Igbo slaves and he lived the rest of his adult life in Nigeria. He and Bishop Crowther (Crowther, adopted the Yorubas as his people and wrote the first Bible in Yoruba) Some of these guys lived and died in our culture. I am not saying that these Professors you mentioned are not worthy of their position or authority or that their propositions were wrong. |
ijawcitizen:Ah! Lemme correct a false impression you are pushing with this language tree. This tree says nothing about the timeline between Igbo and Ijaw language. Ijaw branched out into a different language and Igbo has no root. It doesn't give a timestamp. It could be that Ijaw is older than Igbo but the map doesn't say which one comes first. |
letu:I am not doubting your submission or the submission of the authors you quoted. You know that thesis and works are built on some basic foundations. The one I quoted was probably published more than 150 years before the authors you quoted were born. The ideas then are novel and these authors witnessed the culture untouched and the new authors you quoted must have dug deeper even with more knowledge at their disposal. Bottom line, I am not doubting your submission, I am just reporting the origins of these thoughts. |
